Comparison of population and economic development in California and Illinois in 1980 - 2010

The thesis is focused on the comparison of the population and economic development in California and Illinois between 1980 and 2010. The main purpose is to discover the major trends, differences or agreements in the development of both of these states and State Economic Areas they belong to, i.e. Pacific and East North Central. The official statistics were used for the analysis. Population development is examined by the number of residents, race and ethnicity and migration. Economic development is studied by the gross domestic product and selected characteristics related to the population and its standard of living. Results demonstrate that the population of California is growing and its racial and ethnic composition is changing whereas the population of Illinois is stagnating or growing moderately. Both states undergo the economic growth, which was however interrupted by the financial and economic crisis in recent years. Results of the comparison of the development of Pacific and East North Central indicate that the differences between divisions correspond to the differences between states. Comparison of a Montessori and an ordinary class in the alternative and traditional pre-school education

TITLE The Comparison of a Montessori and an ordinary class in the alternative and traditional pre- school education Abstract The aim of this bachelor thesis - The comparison Montessori and an ordinary class in the alternative and traditional pre-school education is to compare a traditional class and a Montessori class in pre-school education. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the basics of Marie Montessori's education system focused on pre-school education. It further clarifies the objectives, the techniques and the methods of the education system of an ordinary nursery school. The second, practical, part, is focused on the qualitative research method. It presents the analysis of documents, the results of the interviews with teachers and the outcomes of the observations of the daily routine, the atmosphere and the management and types of each activity of both a regular and a Montessori class. Comparison of Italian text and Czech translation of Věčný pekelný žalář

The task of this diploma thesis is to confront the writing La prigione eterna dell'Inferno that was written by Giovanni Battista Manni with its Czech translation that was made by Václav Matěj Šteyer. This piece of writing, La prigione, was published in 1666 and the Šteyer's work in 1676. The writer Šteyer translated the text directly from the Italian one according to the fourth publication of Manni's master copy from the year 1669 because Manni changed there some passages in last two chapters and these changes are seen in the Czech version too. Neither Manni's writing was not original. He was inspired by a tract that was written by the Spanish Jesuit, Juan Eusebio Nieremberg. I observed the way how Šteyer proceeded in the translation of Manni's master copy, especially in the field of lexicon, syntax and stylistics. I also concerned how the rhetoric of Jesuit schools is presented by both authors.

Comparison of indicators of the game performance in the aspects of performance development for girls basketball's teams U15 - U17

Title of thesis: Comparison of indicators of the game performance in the aspects of performance development for girls teams U15 - U17 Aims of thesis: The aim of my thesis is to compare game performance indicators for the girls basketball team Sokol Nusle. Results from the seasons 2011/2012 and 2013/2014 are examined. The minor goal of the thesis is to compare indicators of the game performance features of three chosen players. Methods of thesis: The main method is direct registered observation using the "Basketball scoring sheets". We analysed sheets and we compared the achieved values. Result of thesis: Based on our study, we found that the observed team Sokol Nusle is changing gaming performance indicators in a positive way. Comparison of the integration proces of children at common primary schools and at schools with programme Step by Step

The aim of the thesis is to describe in great detail the process and organization of integration (inclusion) of common primary school children and those of primary schools with the educational programme Step by Step. The focus of the thesis is to put these two school types side by side and compare their attempt to the issue. The results should work as an help for parents' to choose the right institution necessary for the elementary education of their children suffering from any kind of handicap, they should help also the educators searching for many initiatives to integrate all the pupils to a group. Another important output of the thesis is to find out the level of primary school teachers awareness with the process of the pupils' integration.

Qt HDD benchmark

This thesis deals with data storage device benchmarking. Its purpose is to provide storage device benchmarking application with graphical user interface for Linux environment. The graphical interface is simple to use and displays results in real-time. Moreover a few common device benchmarking was done with application developed. The interesting results were briefly described as well as factors influencing them. Also general factors impacting results measured within the Linux environment were described.

Methodological Problems of Comparative Law Summary From the end of the Second World War the comparative law is constantly growing. Growth of the comparative law was enabled, but also forced, by escalating globalization. Development of an information and communications technology in the past decades growth of the comparative law only accelerate. On this aggressive growth the comparative law wasn't prepared, which led to perversion of its content, subversion of its method and establishment of Feyerabend's methodological anarchism, which to this day under the slogan "anything goes" reigns over the comparative law. This thesis is an attempt to create order in the comparative law. We don't do that for the comparative law, or because of the current state of the discipline, but because of our own interest in application of the comparative method in the legal science. In the first section of this thesis we propose a working definition of comparative law. In the second section of this thesis we focus on the structure of comparative method: on the structural elements which compose the comparative method. In the third section of this thesis we focus on the composition of comparative method: on the compositional elements by which are the structural elements of the comparative method integrated into the complete whole....

Title: Performance indicators comparison of selected Czech and German women's team Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to compare game performance indicators for the women's basketball teams in different European leagues.
