Criminal aspects of sport

Master's degree thesis: Criminal aspects in sport SUMMARY The purpose of my thesis is to analyse relationship between sport and Penal Law, especially criminal aspects in sport such as causing injury to another person in sports and bribery in sports. The thesis is composed of six chapters, each of them dealing with different issues. Chapter One concentrates on historical connexion in ancient Greece and Rome. There is a big difference between current sport and sport in that ages, so the opinion of Platon or Solon in this area are really interesting. The chapter Two is subdivided into three parts. Part One describes position of sport in legal order and explains relationship between sport and Penal Law. Part Two deals with specific definition of relation between legal rules and sports rules. Part Three explains the function of sports rules for the purpose of Penal Law. Chapter Three examines criminal lability of sportsmen for causing injury. The chapter consists of four parts. Part One focuses on theories in this area, unfortunately none of them is not global. Part Two describes the legal solutions in Cuba and Ecuador. These state have special legal regulation . Part Three tackles the issue of formal element of crime in sports injury and part four explains which sports misconducts could be classified as crime....
The level of first-aid procedures knowledge amongst floorball trainers

Title: The level of first-aid procedures knowledge amongst floorball trainers Objectives: The primary aim of this research was to identify to what extent trainers of the Czech highest female floorball league are familiar with the first-aid procedures. Methods: In this research, the sampling method was carried out in the form of an anonymous questionnaire, which was constructed from two parts. The first part of the questionnaire assessed general knowledge (7 questions). The second part tested the participants through a random scenario (15 questions). The number of respondents counted a total of 17 B-licensed trainers, both male and female. The questionnaire was completed with the assistance of the Czech Floorball Union, and the collected data was presented in graphs. Results: Based on the anonymous questionnaire, the findings showed the above-average experience of trainers providing first-aid, during both floorball practice or competition. The most common injures were the least serious, such as the wind knocked out, muscle / ligament strain. The results showed that the knowledge of coaches in not sufficient (the average percentage of correct answers among respondent is only 62 % in total), and moreover they are influenced by the scope of the first aid course and when the course was graduated. Compensatory exercise in sports aerobics

Title: Compensatory exercises in sports aerobics Objectives: The aim of the work is to find out the best compensatory exercises for the most common injuries at the top level in sports aerobics. Methods: To achieve the goals of the work, I used the information I obtained by studying the literature and Internet resources dealing with this issue. I searched for literature mainly in the library of the Charles University FTVS with the keywords: compensatory exercises, sports aerobics, load, training unit, exercises, self-weight exercises, sports injuries and gymnastics. For the implementation, our own experience with this sport was necessary, in the role of a competitor and a coach. I also used professional consultations with other coaches. The metod for this research was used a questionnarie, which was submitted to five competitors from the club Fitness center Báry a Hanky Šulcové. Data on the experience with compensatory exercises, the injuries of the respondents and the treatment of these injuries were monitored. Results: The questionnaire showed that ten respondents had 41 injuries, of which 60 % in the lower limb. The aim of this study is to determine how law is connected to sport and how it affects the sport. The main section of the study is understanding involvement of the law in sport when an injury occurs. Examples from czech professional literature were used for that. In the study I describe real injuries from various sports. I mention rules, regulations and then I also describe sanctions and penalties for violating the rules. I discuss it from the sport legislation view and I explain why the law had to be applied.

1 Abstract Title Ankle sprain, conservative versus operational treatment: A literature review Aim The main purpose of this thesis is to assess and review the efficacy of main types of conservative and surgical interventions applied on ankle sprain injuries, as also the factors that influence the clinical outcomes in patients undergoing the selected treatment procedures. Method This thesis is a literary research, reviewing articles from relevant journals and books. Information and data sources were retrieved from English, released between 1980 and 2016, using electronic databases and reference lists of articles. The following databases were searched for the highest possible amount of relevant articles, with an attempt to reduce publication and/or selection bias: PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, The Cochrane Library (Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews), Web of science and Medline. Preliminary searches began at the inception of the project, and the full search was concluded in October 10th , 2016. A restriction for the type of publication (meta-analysis, systematic review, clinical trials, comparative trials, practice guidelines and case studies) was applied when allowed by the databases research tools. Name: System view on insurance athletes Goals: The aim is to submit a report on sports insurance in the Czech Republic, with a focus on amateur and registered athletes, and evaluate the results and propose recommendations. Partial aim is to analyze insurance products from commercial insurers and findings awareness of opportunities for sports insurance among the public. Methods: Secondary research was conducted - collecting data from websites of insurers and insurance brokers and analysis.Primary research was conducted - written and online interviews. Results: Analysis of insurance offers were compared to a one model example. It turned out some differencies in both- in quality and price The questionnaire research has shown, that not all athletes are insured, while the majority of injuries come from sports. Based on the research, some recommendations for athletes and insurers were created. - Liability and damages in football Sport is nowadays considered an activity that contributes significantly to cultivation of human potential, namely its both physical and mental part. Together with a lot of undisputed positives it also brings certain inconveniences. The main and the most common of them is the fact that doing a sport can often lead to an annoying injury. And this is the exact moment to ask delicate questions: What about liability? Where are its limits? Who compensates the victim for the damage? At the same time it is important to realize that legal liability in sport is not limited only to the sportsmen themselves. There are many cases in which founders of sports facilities, sports events organizers, their spectators, referees or officers were found liable. Since football is unambiguously the world's most mass-run sport, I have decided to focus solely on this sport branch in my thesis. I offer the view of this on one hand interesting, on the other hand very complicated issue from the player's, spectator's and organizer's point of view. Although there are many cases in the Czech and especially foreign judicature in which courts dealt with the matter of liability for damage incurred of not only sportsmen, but also spectators and organizers, there cannot be set any general procedure...
Fatigue and injury in football

Title: Fatigue and injury in football Objectives: The main goal of my work is analysis of injury causes in selected clubs from ČFL and division B at season 2011/2012 and their comparison with the reasons from official studies. Methods: Questionnaire investigation Results: Overall from the entire research sample was stated 79 injuries in monitored period, which required overall 828 days of treatment, what is 10,48 days on injury in average. The most frequent injury in ČFL is the groin injury, which make up 13% of all injuries. The most common injury, in 23 % is contusion. The most common cause of all injuries representing with 30% collision. The highes number of injuries occur between 61 - 75 minute of the match. The Regeneration as a part of sports training

The focus of this bachelor elaboration is to work out an integrated outline of all methods and means of regeneration. In the analytical part the main task is to conduct a study of expert literature, analyse particular means of regeneration and their use within the training cycle, describe the causes of sport injuries, the most frequent sport injuries and its prevention from them. In the synthetical part we deal with the problematics of automassage, describe its tacts and compare it with the clasiccal massage. The goal of the synthetical part is to compile the automassage methodology.
