Level of motor ability and skills of children of older school age during the past three decades
ŘEHÁKOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to compare sport performances of girls aged 11 to 18 years in Gymnasium Benešov during the past three decades. The objectives of the thesis were achieved based on the analysis of results in 10 athletic disciplines (50 m run, 60 m run, 100 m run, 800 m run, 1500 m run, 2660 m run, high jump, long jump, shot put and grenade throw) measured within the framework of physical education at gymnasium since 1988 to 2014. Data of 1083 students were used and the analysis of variance was performed. Based on the data evaluation it was found that the performance in runs at 60 m, 100 m, 800 m and 1500 m and long jump in older girls (16, 17 years old) were significantly reduced. The results also showed that the tendency towards reduced performance was more pronounced in long-lasting athletic disciplines and in older girls too.
The effectiveness of dietary supplements for athletes
Papanikolaou, Stefan ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Tuka, Vladimír (referee)
This thesis is dealing with supplements specifically the ones for athletes. To make the selection as useful as possible, I basically chose the supplements according to the sales in sport centers. On these foundations, I made the decision which supplements to research. The next step was to find out the real efficiency of these supplements and if the dosage is set properly. To do so I went through existing science papers, meta-analysis when available, and I made a conclusion. The aim of the conclusion was to say if each of the supplements is useful and for whom. Most of the supplements shown to be beneficial, though some of them needed correction in labeling. Concretely the advertised effects and the dosage needed to be refined. But some of the supplements shown as unadvisable at all. An often issue was that the supplements are useful only for specific use - for specific athletes, or under specific conditions. This was not clearly stated by the producers. And so, some of the supplements will not be beneficial in ways athletes may expect. This thesis is more of a review essay, but in the end, there is a simple tutorial. keywords: active ingredients, sport, sport performance, sport supplements, supplements

The aim of the theoretic part is to briefly introduce the history of the Olympics, the division of controlling authorities of international Olympic movement and the contribution of Olympic Games. Further are mentioned Olympic sports and disciplines, qualification of athletes for XXXI. Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, the attendance of athletes and the programme of the Olympics. The theoretic part ends with the chapter about evaluation of the sport performance. As for the processing of the result part, the analysis of the documents, published by individual international sport federations. The method of controlled conversation was used for problematic questions, which appear during writing this work. The result part presents qualification criterions for all athletes, which were integrated into the programme of XXXI. summer Olympic Games. The discussion deals with the approval of my hypothesis that there are groups of sports, which had the same qualification for the Olympics in 2016. In conclusion, particular groups of sports are commented and the purpose of my work is assessed.
The Structure of Performance in Snowboardcross and Training
Novák, Emil ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The Structure of Performance in Snowboardcross and Training Objectives: Aim of the bachelor thesis is to suggest and justify conception of snowboardcross training work record, to attempt answering these questions: what to record, register and evaluate to be able to use all the information in next training cycles of the Olympic discipline Snowboardcross. Methods: We used the interview method to compile all convenient questions in questionnaires. The questionnaire method gave us information about the sport performance structure in snowboardcross. We applied the method of analysis to compare results, the test battery, the anunal work load indicators, the somatic factors and the races results. Results: On the basis of the evoluated data we found that the most important factor in snowboardcross training is technique. This factor depend on somatic factors which must be adapted to condition factors. Psychological factors are specific to each racer and their training must be based on individual needs. . Comparison of performance tests results determined during kayak spiroergometry with achieved kayak paddling performance
Štěrba, Jan ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Doktor, Martin (referee)
- 6 - Abstract Title: Comparison of performance tests results determined during kayak spiroergometry with achieved kayak paddling performance. Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine relationships between functional parameters values found during kayak spiroergometry and sport performance at 1000 meters distance, and how are these relationships going to change based on training period. Methods: To determine statistical dependence between sport performance at 1000 meters distance and choosen factors of sport performance, the correlation research was used - as a variable-dependent value the final result of sport performance at 1000 meters distance was used, as a variable-independent amounts functional parameters values found during kayak spiroergometry were used. To discover the statistical dependence methods of Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used. Results: General level of kayak-athletes from testing file indicated by functional parameters values and demonstrated by kayak spiroergometry performance depends on kayak- athlete's level of sport performance at 1000 meters distance in prepared-training period only, when importance for general condition is emphasized. We did not discover the same phenomenon based on pre-racing period testing results. Sport performance at...
The ratio of second to fourth digit length and sport performance in recreational and top snowboarders
Švehla, Jakub ; Pivoňková, Věra (advisor) ; Lindová, Jitka (referee)
The second (index finger) to fourth (ring finger) digit length ratio (2D:4D) is known to be a putative marker of prenatal exposure to the testosterone. It has been reported that fetal testosterone may be critical for development of morphological and psychological traits such as quality of the cardiovascular system, visuo-spatial ability, risk-taking behavior and behavioral masculinity. Testosterone-driven attributes are associated with success in male-to- male physical competition, which may be proxied by ability in sports. Many studies have found that 2D:4D is sexually dimorphic and low (male-typical) 2D:4D ratio is associated with athletic performance. This study aims to investigate possible associations of performance in sport with 2D:4D ratio, personality characteristics (Big Five model), willing to take risks and training habits, in a sample of 57 top and 57 recreational snowboard racers. We did not find any associations between 2D:4D ratio and sport performance, no significant differences were found in 2D:4D ratio between samples. We found negative associations between agreeableness and sport performance; individuals with low agreeableness achieved higher results in the real competition of freestyle snowboarding. Low agreeableness used to be associated with aggressiveness, emulation and...
ReiKi as a Legal Doping in Sports
Faltus, Jiří ; Bednář, Miloš (advisor) ; Jebavá, Jana (referee)
Title: ReiKi as a Legal Doping in Sports Problem specification: In professional sport performance is a variable, which influences almost everything. The sportsmen are aware of that and they feel under the pressure. That is why many of them use the illegal doping. But is it really the only way? We have already learned to train the corporeal part and later even the psychical part. Is not logical to pay the same attention to the spiritual part? Is it possible, that for example influence of a spiritual energy (ReiKi and familiar methods) could affect the sport performance? Objectives: To proof or disprove a hypothesis about accepting the spiritual energy and its influence on sport performance and alternatively suggest particular application of this factor in sport practice. To offer an alternative way to accomplish better performance without using unhealthy drugs to sportsmen is the general objective of this work. Methods: The work was solved in a form of studying the cases using some couples of monozygotic twins. The basic idea lay in placement one of the sibling to the program of regular ReiKi therapies. The twins did the same kind of sports, in which was observed their performance. To get more complex point of view there were placed even regular sportsmen to the research. These sportsmen went...
