Poverty and social benefits in socially excluded localities

This study presents a unique analysis of the living conditions of individuals and households in socially excluded localities (SELs) in terms of their income and exposure to poverty, compared to the average population. Special attention is paid to the receipt of social benefits and their effectiveness in reducing poverty. The analysis is based on unique data from living conditions in a socially excluded localities survey (SEL-SILC), conducted in 2020 by the Agency for Social Inclusion of the Czech Ministry of Regional Development, and from data from the Living Conditions Survey (EU-SILC) conducted by the Czech Statistical Office in 2020.
Difficulties in informal caregiving for older adults at home

Difficulties in homecare(giving) for an elderly family member. This bachelor thesis focuses on the issues of home elderly care and on difficulties that are related to it. Based on available literature it presents related topics in the first part of the thesis. In the second part case studies are used to describe several practical experiences of caregivers. This thesis is based on facts about contemporary demographic development. It focuses on the aging of the population and on elderly social care. The focus is given to home elderly care and difficult aspects that are connected to it. In the practical part of the theses qualitative methods of semi-structured dialogue were used. The aim was to find out how individuals who are taking care of non-self sufficient family member experience this situation, why they chose to proceed the way they did, and if they received appropriate information about the possibilities of professional assistance. The aim is also to ascertain how the care influenced their health, financial situation and social life. The analysis of these dialogues showed that the most immense stress for a caregiver is to take care of a person with behavioural and perception disorders with whom it is hard to communicate. Evaluation of social reform impact on non-insurable social benefits

The diploma work "Evaluation of the impact of welfare reform in the area of non-insurance social welfare" is about one of the parts of Social Security in the Czech Republic about area of benefits whose claim is not conditional on participation in insurance. The focus is on the legislative creation and organizational structure ensuring this instrument of the social policy. Because of it the basic of the diploma work is the creation of the political processes, mainly their implementation and evaluation. There are characterized the development and current status of state social assistance, material poverty and benefits for people with disabilities. An analyze of legislative changes that this area has undergone in the context of social reform which started in 2011 is the part of the diploma work. There is the characterization of the process of implementation reforms into practice and it is made their evaluation in the connection with the organization, technical support and legitimacy benefits systems. Options of Preventing and Tackling Social Exclusion in Housing in the Czech Republic

This thesis focuses on describing the setting of the Czech system of prevention and assistance to persons excluded from the standard housing or directly threatened by this exclusion, while attention is paid to social work, social services, social benefits and social housing, which is then given special emphasis. In addition to the general description of these four parts of the system, formal institutions in the form of laws, regulations and conceptions related to them are also described in this thesis. Another objective of this thesis is linked directly to the issue of social housing. The thesis describes the functioning of the social housing sector in the Czech Republic, drawing attention to a problem related to the lack of an institutional framework relating to social housing. Theoretical part describes social policy and their functions, provide supplementary benefits, personality of social workers, their personality, professional and educational requirements. In next thesis deal with clients characteristic and possibility of social consulting. The questionarries of staff engaged in public services are analysed in the empirical part of the thesis. Poverty in contemporary Czech society from the perspective of students in selected secondary schools

The final thesis will tackle the issue of poverty inside the current czech society and how it is perceived by the students of several chosen high schools with an economic focus. The theoretical part of the thesis will describe the basic definitions and types of poverty, its causes, consequences and other indicators which are internationally comparable. It will focus on the Czech Republic and its current situation. Analyze the basic indicators that show how to describe poverty in the Czech Republic and what are the amounts set. How it defines help programmes for families and individuals paralized by poverty. Experiences of mothers of children with severe intellectual disability

The bachelor thesis deals with the experience of mothers of children with a severe mental disability. It sums up the issues and impacts the everyday care has on the life of the mothers and their families. It contains a list of social benefits used for funding the child care and a description of social services which help mothers with the care and the integration of the disabled children according to their capabilities. The thesis is based on qualitative research conducted by the author, who interviewed eight mothers of moderately or severely mentally handicapped children to find out their opinions about medical care, behaviour of the family and others, experiences with negotiation with the authorities and the use of social services. The thesis concludes that the important factors for managing the care of disabled children are family cohesion and adequate information from professionals about the existing options. Distributive impact of social security and tax systems on income distribution : case of Azerbaijan

The research scope of the given thesis is the impact of the Social Security and Tax systems on the income distribution among population in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The study is constructed on the comparative analysis of the changes in taxes, social benefits and income among different groups of the local population. The findings of the thesis propose that while reforms in social security system may stimulate positive impact on the reduction of the gap in income distribution, tax security system in Azerbaijan does not have distributive power. Consequently, in comparison with tax reduction, an increase in social benefits is proposed as a policy with higher efficiency for the Azerbaijan. Furthermore, the analysis established that initially large gap in income distribution between older and younger families may gradually be decreased as a result of policy implementations in the social security system in Azerbaijan. Another important idea developed in the given work is possibility of applying innovative investment-based social security system in Azerbaijan.
Quality of housing funded from social benefit in Ústí nad Labem

The thesis is devoted to the conditions and quality of living of people who are dependent on social benefits. Based on the assumption that state expenditures are disproportionately high compared to the real conditions of housing. The price is inadequate and owners make use of helplessness people and the generosity of the state. The survey will take place in several social excluded quarters in Ústí nad Labem. The field will then be collected information such as service in the flat, state of the building, the legal form of contracts, apartment size, number of people in the apartment and the price. The aim is to determine whether the benefits are used adequately and people from vulnerable groups live in a suitable and stable environment.

Maternity and Parenthood through the view of Labour Law and Social Security Law Abstract This theses deals with the social event of pregnancy, maternity and parenthood in the wider labour and social contexts. The aim of this theses is to analyse the individual stages of the employee's working life based on the birth of the child. Attention is paid to the maternity and parental leave, with particular reference the limited possibilities termination of employment during their drawing. In this context, the different types of financial benefits belonging to parents taking care of children, whose purpose is to compensate for the loss of income or dampening of gainful activities resulting from the necessary personal care of a child. The theses also deals with the interconnection of individual institutes of labour law and social security law in terms of employee's participation in the system of sickness, pension and public health insurance, taking into account the specific conditions of participation of insured persons in these systems while they are taking maternity and parental leave, or receiving sickness insurance or state social support benefits.
