The teacher's and the pupils' empathy

The subject of this thesis is the teacher's and the pupils' skill of empathy and its connection to the effectiveness of the learning process. In the theoretical part of the thesis the author defines empathy and states the issue of its definition. The author also focuses on the topic of development of empathy and how it is connected to the safe classroom environment. Also, the factors that influence the level of empathy within a person are explained. The thesis describes the role of empathy in the communication of a teacher and the pupils and how communication blocks obstruct expressions of empathy. The influence of empathy in the educational process is described on areas where emotions of the pupils play a key role. The thesis describes the possibilities of the teacher's development of empathy as well as practices that allow this development with the students of first five grades in elementary school. The aim of the empirical part is to find out how the future teachers view empathy. The research is aimed at finding out how students of education define empathy, whether they think it can be cultivated, whether teachers can influence the level of empathy of their students and if so, how. Development of social skills at pupils with autistic spectrum disorder

The formation of social relationships accompanies us throughout our lives and are a source of satisfaction. While social interactions bring joy to healthy children, children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder bring such interactions to an unknown territory filled with uncertainty and distress. The social domain is an interrelated system consisting of several areas. If a child does not understand one or more areas, she will not function correctly during human-to-human interactions. Areas that help a child acquire appropriate social skills include cognitive, perceptual, motor, and emotional abilities. Consequently, it is only appropriate to focus on such areas during social skills training to achieve the best possible outcomes. The thesis deliberates on the social skills development of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The work aims to characterize the methods and intervention options in social skills development, imitation, and fine motor skills and evaluate progress in respective areas. Pupils'work with building blocks during breaks

The diploma thesis deals with a free play with building blocks during breaks. The aim of this work is to find out how the free play with building blocks is beneficial for pupils at primary school. The whole work is divided into 3 chapters and each of them is concerned with the importance of the play in one specific area. The first part deals with the benefits of the play for the development of pupils' mathematical skills, the second part deals with the benefits of the play for the development of social skills among pupils. The third part is then aimed at the value of observing pupils during the free play for teachers. The research was conducted using observation during which photographs and video records of pupils' play were made. The photographs and the video records were consequently analyzed from the perspective of all 3 categories mentioned earlier. Socially Activating Services for Families with Children

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out a benefit of Socially Activating Services for Families with Children with autism spectrum disorders. Into account were taken points of view of parents with children with autism spectrum disorders, social workers and social service workers. In the theoretical part, the basic terms was defined. The terms included informations about autism spectrum disorders, families with children with autism spectrum disorders and socially activating services for families with children with autism spectrum disorders. In the practical part, the research question, dealing a benefit of socially activating services for families with children with autism was answered. Partial research questions tried to map the benefits of individual social activities of socially activating services for families with children with autism spectrum disorders. Specifically they included education and activation activities, social therapeutic activities and social skills training. The method of interviewing by means of half-structured interview, as well as qulitative research strategy were chosen ro the research. The analysis of the data was made with the use of clustering. The research sets were chosen with the help of purposed choice. The first research set consisted of 6 parents and the second one consited of 2 social workers and 2 social service workers fulfilling the predetermined choosing criteria. The research showed the main benefits of the Socially Activating Services for Families with Children with autism spectrum disorders: families gets help in every situation, child development, touch with other families, parents can share their worries and can consult with other families and feeling they are not alone. With using the street work it seems to be beneficial, because the child learns in a natural environment, uses the acquired skills in practice, the child learns the skills of the day, the family gains new experiences but also free time. According to opinion of parents main benefits of educational and activation activities were contact with other children, child development, adaptation to noise, contact with other parents, involvement of siblings in activities and rest for the parents during activities. The interviewed social workers and social services workers listed as the main benefits of educational and activation activities: resting for families, establishing and maintaining social contact, learning skills for everyday life, better communication, developing motor skills, and the fact that he family is integrated into society. According to opinion of parents, the main benefits of social therapeutic activities were finding the right way with the therapist, knowing that everything can be solved, sharing worries and calming inner. The interviewed social social workers listed as the main benefits of social therapeutic activites: supporting families with each other, reducing stress and developing the child in the social field. There are the main benefits of the social skills training according to opinion of parents of children with autism spectrum disorders: free time for parents, learning tolerance in children, children adapting, learning with imitation, learning cooperation, being part of collective, improving communication and applying skills in practice. There are the main benefits of the social skills training for family and their children with autism spectrum disorders according to opinion of social workers and social service workes: free time for parents, parents can use group counseling of social skills training, seeing the progress of the child and the children learn to express their needs and especially control their emotions. The bachelor thesis will serve as a feedback for the staff of Občanské sdružení ProCit, z.s. about the meaningfulness and the quality of the social activating activities.
The practice and the development of social skills, self-sufficiency and self-service of the people with combined disabilities through the social rehabilitation

The main idea and mission of this bachelor thesis is to describe and clarify the ways of the training and development of the social skills, self-sufficiency and self-care of the people with combined disability. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify the needs of the particular individuals with the combined disability in the area of the self-sufficiency and self-care. Subsequently, to describe and to test in practice the possibilities of the training of the selected skills and to evaluate their impact on the daily life of the people with the combined disability. The goal was fulfilled by using of the casuistry that is included in the practical part of this thesis. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and contains several chapters. The first chapter deals with the history of the care for the people with the health disability. The second chapter deals with the health handicap and its aetiology. The following chapters focus on the comprehensive system of the rehabilitation, social services from the law perspective, social rehabilitation or target group of the individuals. The next chapters describe the transition from the childhood of the people with the combined disability to the adulthood, adulthood and deal with the social skills, self-sufficiency and self-care. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the quality of life of the people with the handicap. The practical part of the thesis is elaborated in the form of the qualitative investigation. In this part of the thesis there are described the used methods, i.e. the method of the participating observation, analysis of the documentation, direct education and casuistry. The thesis continues with the casuistry of the people with combined disability, their training and progress towards the fulfilling of the planned goal. It is followed by the discussion and conclusion of the bachelor thesis. In my opinion, the social rehabilitation is in the great development, it is increasingly used by more and more users and it progressively gets into the general awareness.
Social therapeutic workshops as a Possibility of an Integration of Mentally Disabled People

The thesis is focused on the service of the social therapeutic workshop as one of the possible support for the integration of persons with intellectual disabilities into the normal life. In the first part of my thesis I summarize the theoretical knowledge regarding characteristics of mental disability. The next chapter deals with the integration of people with mental disabilities, their needs and rights, including the possible disadvantages in some spheres of everyday life. Followed by defining services to socialy therapeutic workshops. At the conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to the support of individual areas. The aim of the empirical section is to characterize the role of social therapeutic workshops in the integration of people with mental disabilities into the normal life. From the results obtained it follows that the socially therapeutic workshops may have for the user a positive contribution in the various areas of their life and this also could theoretically lead to easier integration into the life of ordinary society. However this benefit is highly dependent on the individual abilities of each individual and also depends on the degree and depth of thein disability. Some users therefore can achieve optimal levels of autonomy and improve their social as well as professional application....
