Data security in public accessible computers

This composition designs data security in public accessible computers in organization, which uses for it's work sensitive dates. The first part talks about reasons why was this problem selected and judges contemporary situation. In this part, there are mentioned targets of the composition too. Next part attends to theoretic level of solved problem. It takes in information about used methodics too. There are mentioned and described individual options, which can solve problem. Following part uses theoretic knowledges in practice. There is suggested data security in the organization. There are selected alertnatives and there are given reasons for each selection. At the end, there is summarized the solution and it is compared with original condition in organization.
Mobile banking in the Czech Republic and in the world and it's development

The thesis focuses on banking in general. To be more precise this thesis aims to discover mobile banking and its future potential in the Czech Republic. The first chapter describes principles on which m-banking is working on and its security methods these technologies are using for communication between banks and clients. Second part of the research investigates current situation on the market and its preparedness to move further to become comparable to e-banking. To discover current situation, banks that are part of the biggest financial groups from the Czech Republic and abroad were chosen. This thesis embodies complex picture of services m-banking supports together with quality check of services provided.
Electronic banking in Czech republic and its possibilities

The subject of the thesis: Electronic banking in Czech republic and its possibilities -- is to bring closer the electronic banking of the Czech republic and to sum up its actual status. In the first part of this thesis the conception of the electronic banking is defined, next its advantages and disadvantages in comparison with the classic office banking from both views -- client's and bank's, followed by its security and history. Each form of the electronic banking is defined and subscribed in the middle section. Last part of this thesis is aimed at the research of the czech banking market and to choose the best alternate of the electronic banking services for client -- non-entrepreneur. This research is based on multicriterial classification according to in advance defined standards.
Possibilities of strenghtening energy security of EU

Diploma thesis focuses on energy security of EU with special attention paid to oil and natural gas and their perspectives. Specifics of these resources are discussed as well as countries with biggest proven reserves. Further on it analyses present and projected transport infrastructure for oil and natural gas. Primary energy mix is discussed with detailed sections on both resources and their specifics in EU. Recommendations for diversification both in suppliers and sources are made in the final section.

Security of Enterprise VoIP Telephony Networks

This thesis focuses on enterprise VoIP telephony network security. Introduces brief comparison of old analog and digital voice networks and IP telephone networks with special focus on VoIP system security. The goal of the thesis is to identify the risks of implementation and operation of VoIP technologies in enterprise environment and so thesis brings some conclusion how to minimalize or avoid these risks. First two chapters briefly introduce the development of telephony technologies with differentiation of enterprise telephone network from public telephone networks. Further it describes individual technologies, digitalization of voice, processing the signal and VoIP protocols and components. Third chapter focuses on infrastructure of telephony networks with special interest for architecture of IP telephony and ways of establishing call processing. It describes data flows for further security risk analysis, which this technology came with. Fifth chapter is about enterprise security standards in common and is trying to describe information security management system (ISMS) adopting VoIP technology. Individual security threats and risks are described in sixth chapter, along with known methods how to avoid them. Final parts of thesis concludes of two real situation studies of threats and risks of VoIP technologies implemented in environment of small commercial enterprise and medium size enterprise, in this example represented by University of economics. These chapters conclude theoretical problems shown on practical examples.
Analysis of security of fire-fighting equipment

Thesis analyses security of fire-fighting equipment for firemen. In practical part fire-fighting equipment of one Prague fire station is compared with legislative requirements. Next safety elements are looked for; use, functionality and reliability are specified, moreover their control and servicing are specified too. Finally thesis gives advice to firemen about improving fire-fighting equipment.
Methods of protection against eavesdropping and snooping in digital networks

The aim of this work is to provide a comprehensive overview of eavesdropping and snooping in digital networks, describe possible threats and show technological and organizational precautions against them. The first chapter introduces the reader into the topic and shows all the main threats. The second chapter describes technological precautions with the emphasis on data flow. The first part of this chapter explains the terminology. Next part tries to solve the security of each type of a communicational channel followed by the virtual private networks issues, physical networks and the risks of encryption. The third chapter analyses organizational issues with the emphasis on legislation. Precautions in this chapter make the technology from the previous chapter more effective. The fourth chapter uses the findings from previous chapters and tries to secure a company in all its complexity. This allows the estimation of total cost. The practical part of this thesis should serve for companies with already developed infrastructure who want a transparent solution that would protect them from eavesdropping and data thefts.
Analysis of security requirements for payment card industry and problems with their implementation

Rapid development of new technologies and their easy implementation introduces new risks that must be faced. This diploma thesis concentrates at payment card industry. Payment card industry come through significant development. Billions of dollar each year flow through these systems. New technologies like contactless cards, prepaid brand cards are emerging, ATM and payment terminal support new services and products. Merchant are looking for new opportunities. This situation brings along new threats and introduces new vulnerabilities. These are not necessarily new, only the whole environment got much more complicated and digger. Unfortunately the acting threats and vulnerabilities were not eliminated. Missing legislation measures and restricted enforceability are not sufficient to effectively fight against crime in this area. On the other hand sever organizations are aware of these threats and tries to face them. New security requirements were introduced for each separate subjects of payment card industry so that the risks are eliminated or their impact is reduced to an acceptable degree. Some of these requirements were already implemented and are in the scope of this work. The goal of this work is to explore these requirements. To find out what risks they are affecting and how effective they are. And in case of need help to implement the appropriate security measure. This work is practically oriented and can help responsible persons to ensure compliance with the requirements and face all effecting threats.
Water resources as an actual problem of international security relations
