Rolederová, Iva ; Šulová, Lenka (advisor) ; Štětovská, Iva (referee)
This thesis examines the role of self-acceptance in romantic relationships and the relationship between self-acceptance and individuals' adulthood attachment style. The theoretical part describes self-acceptance mainly in context of Person Centered Approach (PCA) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), investigates methods of measuring self-acceptance, and puts it in relation to self-esteem, self- compassion, mindfulness, well-being and psychological health. Romantic relationships, adult attachment and their link to self-acceptance are also described. The empirical quantitative research was conducted on a sample of 155 respondents using Czech translation of the Unconditional Positive Self-Regard Scale (UPSRS), the Unconditional Self-Acceptance Questionnaire (USAQ) and Experience in Close Relationships - Relationship Structures (ECR-RS). The results show negative correlation of attachment Anxiety and partial negative correlation of attachment Avoidance and self-acceptance. Significantly higher scores of self-acceptance were found in individuals with a secure adult attachment style than in those with fearful and preoccupied adult attachment style. Based on empirical findings the similarity of self-acceptance and model of the self in adult attachment was proposed and self-acceptance was...

Floriánová, Eliška ; Turková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Oukropec, Jindřich (referee)
The topic of my bachelor thesis is "Presentation of female beauty on Instagram from the perspective of "beauty" influencers." The ambition of the thesis is to find out how women's beauty and the female body are perceived and presented by influencers themselves on Instagram, by using qualitative methods. The theoretical part describes the effects of social networks usage on adult women and young girls, focusing primarily on negative influences, such as the possibility of developing an eating disorder increases due to the frequent sharing of women's bodies on Instagram. Then there is indicated the increasing number of facial surgeries, which is also linked to the frequent viewing of edited photographs. The theoretical part of the thesis is also devoted to the principles of how Instagram works, its functions and other photo editing apps. Prominent Czech and foreign profiles focusing on healthy thinking about the female body and motivating female Instagram users to self-accept are mentioned. The methodological part defines the method, i.e. the e-mail interviews which selected Czech influencers who devote their profiles to female beauty. Some of their posts and comments are then analyzed. All of this contributes to the in-depth understanding of what is nowadays considered as beauty on the social network...

Petráková, Kristýna ; Zezulková, Markéta (advisor) ; Miessler, Jan (referee)
The theme of this master thesis is Instagram - a social networking service and its impact on self-acceptance and self-promoting of teenagers. In the first place, theoretical part aims to describe concepts, that are linked with social networks, such as prosuming, participative culture, and Web 2.0. Furthermore, general approach regarding the impact of social networks on teenagers is introduced. The main subjects of this research are contextualized in the field of social networks. There are three main goals of the dissertation, as stated in a hypothesis part. Firstly, how are the participants of the research influenced by the subscribed content. Secondly, whether is the information stream they are following being reflected in their own Instagram presentation. And finally, what is the impact on the participants of the research in case of advertising activity represented by the Instagram influencers. Qualitative research is focused on girls at the age of sixteen. This is a moderate deflection as the original hypothesis was aiming to involve wider research group of...
Fitness influencers on Instagram and their impact on the self body image - the phenomenon of fitness culture among young women and men
Skaunicová, Dunia ; Rosenfeldová, Jana (advisor) ; Supa, Markéta (referee)
This diploma thesis titled: 'The influence of fitness influencers on the self-body image - the phenomenon of fitness culture amongst young women and men' deals with the phenomenon of fitness influencers on Instagram, whose content may affect its users' body image perception, self-perception, and self-conception. This thesis aims to theoretically introduce Instagram influencer marketing in the fitness field, with the focus on body image perception amongst their users and the evaluation of its psychological aspects. The sample contains people who actively exercise in the 20-30 age range. The analysis of in-depth interviews with 12 respondents was chosen as the methodology. After data collection, the interviews are subsequently thematically analysed using open coding and a categorical system. This thesis aims to find out why individual Instagram users consume selected content and how they perceive it. Perception is linked to gender optics, which examines whether users monitor and perceive content concerning gender influencers and, if so, why? Gender comparison compares different motives for tracking profiles and simultaneously reveals overlap in the perception of profiles by users within gender stereotypes. Another goal of this thesis is to present the results of the topics which showed the importance...
Homosexuality as a part of identity
VONÁŠKOVÁ, Nikola
My thesis will be divided into two parts theoretical and practical. The author will base the theoretical part upon analysis of reference books (also comprising foreign literature and journals). The subject matter of the work will be a look at the issue of homosexuality in a wide psychological context. The practical part of the thesis will be a presentation of a qualitative research, which will focus on: the realization of oneself's homosexuality; homosexuality as a part of human identity; the issue of self-acceptance in the context of a person's homosexual orientation; the influence of one's social group (closest family, friends, other homosexuals) in both the positive and negative way; the influence of homosexuality on social life itself (personal, professional) and the change of it throughout different ages and times; the question of partnership; possibly more. The method of data collecting will be in-depth interviews and the presumed number of respondents will be around six persons, acquired by the "snow ball" method. The possibility of in-depth interviews with the original respondents' parents or siblings is left open. Afterwards, the interviews will be processed with the "open coding" method and subsequently cathegorized. Finally, the method of "card sorting" is going to be used.
