School project focused on sexually transmitted diseases ABSTRACT This Thesis forms two segments: theoretically oriented and practically oriented. Theoretical background doesn't only deal with development of project-based learning from history to the present but characteristics of project-based learning as such. There is an emphasis on positives at work but also cons that this innovative method brings, analysis of different types of project, important role of a student and a teacher and planning of the project itself. Second segment of theoretical part forms basic information about bacterial and viral diseases (chlamydia, gonorrhea, chancroid, syphilis, hepatitis B, genital herpes, AIDS, genital warts and cervical cancer). Practical part is dedicated to application of theory of project-based learning itself into practice. The result is a formation of a particular project called Sexually transmitted diseases, which is then completed on higher level of high school. Further there is thoroughly described project planning, realization and its evaluation. The Thesis emphasizes project-based learning as an innovative process that is capable of helping students with development of key competencies and fulfilling requirements of Framework educational program for upper secondary general education. In the short form of the reader, she acquaints her with the background of the opera, the creator of the opera, the content and the vocal and instrumental cast. Microbiological Project Using the Disc Diffusion Method for Lower Secondary School ABSTRACT This thesis deals with project-based education and his involvement in the functional structure of the czech educational theory and practice. It refers to the project as an innovative teaching process, which is qualitatively able to shield asked RVP requirements and the implementation of which contributes to the development of educational goals and core competencies. This thesis contains both theoretical aspects are developed through the study of literature and other sources in order to summarize the current state of knowledge of the subject, so practical. Theoretical bases emphasize not only on the characteristics of project-based education as such, but also on the appropriate application of educational strategies in the learning process. Specifically mentioned are possibilities of project-based teaching in the teaching of natural history, biology and ecology. The theoretical background followed by the practical part, which shifts the theory of project learning into practice. Utilization of Cannabis Sativa in Teaching Chemistry

The diploma thesis deals with Cannabis sativa. The aim is to focus on possible utilization of Cannabis sativa in teaching chemistry. The theoretical part describes the botany of cannabis, overviews phytocannabinoids, substances contained in cannabis, and it also includes wide use of cannabis in agriculture and industry. The practical part deals with the selection and arrangement of a possible curriculum about chromatography as the most affordable technique for analysis of cannabis at school, including the formulation of school experiment methodology using the thin-layer chromatography of Cannabis sativa extract to demonstrate the presence of phytocannabinoids. The practical part also includes the scheme of an educational project on cannabis and describes the latest techniques, as well as the methodology of work with them, which are suitable for analysis of phytocannabinoids.

This diploma work Addicted Substances - project for the lower secondary school is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of this work is giving information about addicted drugs and method of teaching by form of projects, proposing and realization of project with this topic, which could be used for other teachers. Theoretical part is intent on summary of question of addicted substances, where the terms addicted substances, abuse of addicted drugs - its symptoms or risks, causes of drugs addiction and some terms, what are connected with this question (e.g. habit, tolerance, addiction, syndrome of abstinence), are clarified. In this work, there are also mentioned division of these substances in more points of views, character of chosen addicted substances, where is described basic division according to availability - legal and illegal drugs. Representatives or categories of addicted substances, their characteristic and effects on human organism, are mentioned within this dividing. Project-based Teaching in Science Subjects in the Second Stage of Czech and Slovak Basic Schools

The new curriculum reforms of Czech and Slovak educational systems provide schools enough room for new effective methods developing pupil's key competence. The dissertation deals with one of them - the project-based teaching, especially in science subjects in the second stage of basic school. It presents results of a comparative study which was conducted 2008/2009 school year. The most important aim was to establish and compare common characteristics of realized projects. The sample consisted of 180 Czech and 71 Slovak basic schools. The projects data and views of teachers were collected via a questionnaire. The results of the survey indicated that project-based teachings in science subjects was used in more than 80 % of Czech schools and more than 60 % of Slovak schools. Schools in both countries preferred projects realized only in one class, by one teacher and within the frame of one science subject. Czech schools preferred short projects that lasted no more than one week, Slovak schools organized mostly long projects lasting more than one week. Most projects in Czech schools were short-term, lasting on average no more than one week. Projects in Slovak schools on the other hand lasted on average more than one week.
