Holá, Michaela ; Kropáčková, Jana (advisor) ; Valentová, Hana (referee)
The Diploma thesis concerns with an issue of school attendance postponement. The practical part was carried out in form of a survey with three groups of respondents - parents, kindergarten teachers and primary school teachers. The aim of this part was to assess the position of parental public toward the school attendance postponement and possible children's preparation for future entry into the compulsory education. In case of the pedagogical public the central theme was a comparison of the kindergarten and primary school teachers' positions on the identical topic associated with a comparison of the most common reasons given in connection with school attendance postponement. This part was completed with a child case report of two preschool children for who the issue of granting the school attendance postponement was very current. The research carried out suggests that all groups of respondents agree with the compulsory school attendance postponement but only under the assumption that this postponement is justified. Otherwise, their positions were not as unambiguous. The...

Vondráčková, Jana ; Felcmanová, Lenka (advisor) ; Hájková, Vanda (referee)
This thesis deals with diagnosing school readiness at enrollment for compulsory school attendance. The paper defines the terms of school readiness, school maturity, enrollment for compulsory school attendance, school attendance postponement and acceptance of the child younger than six years. Another part describes the enrolment process for compulsory education in primary schools in Českobudějovicko. Three goals have been set: how teachers of selected primary schools in Českobudějovicko diagnose school readiness during enrollment for compulsory school attendance, what is their experience with school start postponement and early school starts (before 6 years), and to see if elementary schools cooperate with kindergartens in enrollment for compulsory school attendance. To achieve the goals was used qualitative research, an interrogation method, semi-structured interview technique. Through interviews with selected teachers coming from nine primary schools these objectives have been met. Elementary schools use different methods for diagnosing school maturity, but in most cases they diagnose the child in the fields recommended by literature. They also cooperate with kindergartens in the enrolment process. Experience of their teachers with an additional postponement in enrolment, or with early enrolment...

THE PREVENTION OF SPECIFIC DISORDERS OF LEARNING IN KINDERGARTEN
ZÁDILSKÁ, Jana
This work is focused to the specific learning disorders prevention, which should start as early as in a child's preschool age. Problems of a child with a specific learning disorder are not limited only to school lessons, however, they project to the whole social system, in which the child lives. To mitigate such problems, various stimulating programmes may assist that feature a preventive effect in the case of preschool children. The main objective of the thesis is to map a situation of a country kindergarten as related to the preparation of preschoolers to the performance of the compulsory school attendance. Thus the investigation sample consisted of preschool age children. For the investigation part I have selected the qualitative research method. The preparedness level of the preschool children for their successful school integration I investigated by means of the direct work method, in the form of a specific game applied to a sample of 27 children. As a research technique a questionnaire was selected, which was intended for the children's parents, as well as direct observation of work with the children, and a content analysis of adequate documents data. Having evaluated the obtained data, I was able to assess to what extent specialists from the kindergarten co-operate with parents, when preparing their children to a trouble-free integration to school, for how many children a possible disorder development may be expected, which would make their compulsory school attendance difficult, as well as to what extent the education level of parents is related to the preparation of a child for school. By my research I have thus investigated that the co-operation of parents and educators is on a quite well level in a country kindergarten. Nevertheless, the knowing of the parents on the means how to prepare a child well for its entry to school is insufficient in some cases. In the case of 10 children, development deficiencies may be expected, from which specific learning disorders may form after their entry to school. However, the specific learning disorders may be affected, to a varied extent and quality, by the background in which the child grows up. By my work I would like to contribute to project a solution that would enable to work, in a more systematic manner, with parents of the preschool children.
