This thesis aims to compile and evaluate six monocriteria and one multi-criteria ranking in the meat processing industry. These rankings are primarily focused on the needs of smaller potential investors and their purpose is to facilitate their investment decisions and to recommend the most appropriate investment opportunity. In the theoretical part is analyzed the concept of ranking and other related concepts. In addition, there are described the interests of individual ranking users and briefly introduced the most well-known rankings. The content of the methodological part are particular steps in the process of compiling ranking and their subsequent detailed analysis including a brief theoretical interpretation of the selected methods of financial analysis. To contribute a better reporting ability to one of the implementation steps is included an expert opinion reflecting the specifics of the selected industry. In the practical part is applied the described steps and the rankings are compiled and evaluated. The recommended investment opportunity is LE & CO - Ing. Jiří Lenc, s.r.o.
Ranking of selected tyre services

The purpose of this master thesis is to compare the company ContiTrade Services s.r.o. with its competitors between the years 2011 and 2014 by creating a ranking of selected tyre services. This thesis is divided into a practical section and a theoretical section. In the theoretical section are shown basic terms related to the intercompany comparison, the principles of the strategic tool Balanced Scorecard, the chosen indicators for the ranking and the methods of creating a rank within the intercompany comparison. In the practical section a spread (ROE - re), ROE, ROA, ROS, a turnover, a net profit, the amount of subsidiaries, the amount of services, an increase of tangible assets and labour costs are the basis for creating a ranking. These indicators are divided into four section according to the strategic tool Balanced Scorecard. There has been also created a complex ranking between the years 2011 and 2014 based on the above listed indicators.
The Ranking of Shanghai Real Estate Price Determinants

This thesis studies the price determinants of newly developed residential buildings in Shanghai. It introduces the history and present of real estate market in PRC and Shanghai. It further describes the characteristics, trends, and structural problems the market is facing now, as well as possible future development. The empirical research is based on regression analysis using ordinary least squares method (OLS). The data analysis is performed using STATA statistical software in version 14. Statistically significant determinants are ranked according to their impact. The most impactful determinant is monetary supply. Followed by interest rate, SSE index, income and the amount of finished real estate investments. The least significant determinant is the floor space of newly constructed residential buildings in Shanghai.
Business environment for SMEs: Competitive comparison of France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the competitive comparison of business environment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within 4 chosen countries, which are France, Germany, Italy and Spain. The main goal is to analyze the economic indicators and the overall business conditions in these countries, and to choose the most favorable in terms of doing business in. Theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to understanding of SMEs principles and the approach of the European Union towards these enterprises. The first practical part analyses the business environment of 4 chosen countries by using PEST analysis. And the second practical part is based on 4 external economic indicators, which are Taxation, Labor cost, Demand, and Ease of Doing Business. The analysis in this part is based on the statics method, which allows to compare each indicator separately, and to create the final ranking of these countries, according to the selected indicators. The result of the thesis shows that the most favorable country, in terms of doing business in, became Germany, which results from 2 analyses were significantly better for SMEs.
Ranking of financial performance of companies ranking of '100 Most Significant Companies in the Czech Republic'

The diploma thesis deals with ranking of financial performance ranking of companies in period from 2011 to 2015. The main goal is to propose ones own ranking, which compares companies on the basis of indicators of financial analysis. Ranking contains seven models and indicators, which comprehensively evaluates important economical spheres of company and its environment. Signatures of assessment are given bankrupt and solvency models, absolute and relative economic value added, net present value. Partial goal is to compile seven independent rankings, which with the help of method of simple sum of ranking and method of distance from fictive object create final propose of ranking.
Freedom of pressindices and their reflection in media

The thesis presents a contribution to the topic of critical examination of various ways to evaluate and compare the level of press (media) freedom in countries throughout the world. It analyses the process of presentation the conclusions of press freedom indices to the public. The analysis is guided on two levels. First, the form in which the press freedom indices are published is investigated. And second, the media reflection of these publications is examined. The starting-point of this analysis focuses on theoretical view on various definitions of press freedom. First part of the thesis therefore provides the summary of important fields that should not be forgotten by any conceptualization of press freedom. Second chapter deals with the problems connected to evaluations and comparisons of press freedom in general and then in particular concerning the Freedom of the Press index by Freedom House and World Press Freedom Index by Reporters Without Borders. In the second part of the thesis, Czech media reflection of the two concerned indices is analyzed. First, the specifics of the Czech media landscape are dealt with. Methodology for Evaluation in Google Company

The thesis describes a search engine of Google company and its method of web pages evaluating, which is used for sorting them on the search engine result page. In addition to the description of how search engines work in general, the thesis targets on differencies between Google and other search engines, as well as it mentions characteristics and principles designed by its founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, which make it unique. In the second part there are outlined some of many signals which are rated for every single web page. The most concerned signal is PageRank as the leading idea of pages evaluating, based on their link scheme which is founded on principles of citation analysis. Factors for evaluating are analysed using particular examples, and the topic is ended by the description of Google search engines changes from its beginning in 1998 until present.
Contemporary czech film criticism as endangered genre

This thesis called "Contemporary Czech Film Criticism as an Endangered Genre" is supposed to assess the contemporary image of the film criticism in the Czech printed serials, that apply to it steadily, to chart significant Internet alternatives of the film criticism (critic and fan blogs), to describe some ways of their coexistence and mutual influences. First part is devoted to a research of the meaning of the term "criticism", what its intention is, which functions it should fulfill, which kinds of it could be distinguished and how it should be written. The second part is focused on the film criticism in the light of its historic position in the age of wide extension of the Internet, when a new branch of the film criticism has appeared apart from the journalistic one and the one of the film studies - this branch is formed by movie fans, who publish on the Internet. The third part examines the contemporary position and tendencies of the film criticism in the Czech printed media, the subject of an illustrative analyses are the articles that rank the actual films in cinemas in four concrete printed serials - one nationwide daily and three specialized film magazines.
Financial performance ranking

The subject-matter of this diploma thesis is a comparison of financial performance of issuers of selected stock titles listed on the official market of the RM-SYSTÉM, česká burza cenných papírů a.s. stock exchange from a potential investor's perspective. The comprehensive comparison of financial performance presented both in the numerical and the graphic form is achieved through the application of the ranking method based on evaluation criteria analysing financial performance in the years 2009 to 2015 with a view of economic power, profitability, stability and investor perspective. The ranking is compiled with the use of each of the evaluation criteria on the basis of weighted average, taking account of the up-to-datedness of the input data of pre-defined materiality coefficients, and on the basis of arithmetic average representing the median value for the calculation of absolute volatility expressed by the standard deviation.
Comparison of Selected Deposit Products of Commercial Banks for the Company

This thesis is focused to the comparison of deposit products offered by commercial banks, based on the preferences of a particular company management. Thesis includes theoretical knowledge of banking, namely the definition of basic terms, description of the banking system, the central bank and commercial banks deposit products. To achieve the aims of this thesis were used scoring method and ranking. The practical part is based on these methods and compare the deposit products of individual banks. Management of the company is subsequently recommended the most suitable banking product.
