Application of pupillometry during measurement of the defocused curve
Musilová, Kateřina ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design algorithm that will detect pupil from video. The theoretical knowledge necessary for proper pupil detection is also described in this master’s thesis. Detection is done on 24 videos that are converted to single images. The complete result the dependence of the pupil diameter on the used dioptre. The overall success rate of the algorithm is 88,13 %. The overall error is 11,87 %. For 17 out of 24 patients, it is confirmed that the greater the dioptre, the larger the pupil.
Pupil and iris center detection
Prosser, Jan ; Chmelík, Jiří (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at image processing to obtain informations about the center of pupil and iris, the pupillar and limbic boundary from grayscale images of the eye. An introduction describes general research in topic of pupil, iris and changes in size of pupil. There are mentioned articles dealing with the detection of the center of pupil and iris. These articles were used as an inspiration for proposal of detection methods used in this work. The introduction ends with description of designed approaches of detection of parameters of pupil and iris in images of CASIA-Iris-Interval database. The second, practical part of this work, is dedicated to description of acquisition system, which was compiled to obtain proper images of eye. Individual analysis of methods used to obtain parameters of pupil and iris follows after that. There are two methods of detection of center of pupil and pupillar boundary, one method determines center of iris and limbic boundary. Last method detects centers and boundaries of pupil and iris at one time. The end of this work is dedicated to analysis of results of designed methods. Analysis includes score of successfulness of detection, statistical analysis, discussion of changes in pupillary diameter depending on the light conditions and changes in position of center of pupil during constriction and dilatation of pupil.

Papežová, Jindřiška ; Hejlová, Helena (advisor) ; Kadrnožková, Monika (referee)
DIPLOMA THESIS Comparison of Case Studies of Methods Used for Students with Mild Mental Disability at Primary Schools and Primary Schools Established under Paragraph 16, Section 9th Education Act Jindřiška Papežová ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with comparison of the application of possible support measures for pupils with mild mental disabilities in primary schools and primary schools established pursuant to Article 16 (9) of the Education Act. The aim of the work is to point out available support and the use of support measures in the context of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities in primary schools and primary schools established pursuant to Article 16 (9) of the Education Act. This issue is interconnected with inclusive education. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical one aims at specifying the concept of mild mental retardation and defining a pupil with a mild mental disability in the context of education. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of persons with mild mental disabilities, inclusion of the pupil in the class collective, and subsequently it presents support measures that are expanded to include the use of digital educational tools in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. The practical...
Prevalence of kratom use among 8th and 9th-grade students in primary schools in the Nymburk district - a questionnaire survey
Škabradová, Barbora ; Jandáč, Tomáš (advisor) ; Votavová, Aneta (referee)
Background: Mitragyna Speciosa - a plant, more commonly known as kratom, that has a history and tradition in Southeast Asia for centuries. In recent decades, it has been gaining popularity worldwide. In addition to its benefits, which include energizing, pain and stress relief, and reducing opiate withdrawal symptoms, kratom use carries health risks along with the development of addiction. In the Czech Republic, kratom is not yet legislated, its use is not regulated and everyone, including children, has access to it. Aims: The aim of this study was to map the lifetime prevalence among 8th and 9th graders in the Nymburk district and patterns of use, their awareness in terms of effects, risks and availability, sources of information about kratom and attitudes towards it. Methods: The data were collected using a paper questionnaire in four primary schools in the Nymburk district. The schools were selected by random sampling. 287 pupils participated in the survey. Results: 17.8% of pupils had experience with kratom. Boys reported experience more often than girls. More than half of the respondents with experience have used kratom at most twice, got it for free from a friend and tried it out of curiosity. The most well-known desirable effects in pupils' minds were feeling calm and relaxed and increased...

This thesis focuses on data literacy and its application in the field of environmental and science literacy. The aim of this thesis was to map data literacy in environmental education among second grade elementary school students. This aim of the thesis was fulfilled through a test that involved data analysis, sorting and comparing data, and making decisions based on the data presented in the context of an environmental situation within four environmental education tasks. It was found that, on average, 68% of the pupils were able to extract the correct data from the attached maps, graphs and tables, 59% of the pupils were able to compare the data correctly with each other and 60% of the pupils were able to use the data presented to make decisions in the context of the environmental situation. Aspekty využití výukových metod ve výuce praktického vyučování
Kuběja, Josef
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of teaching methods in vocational education in the field of carpentry. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether something can be changed or modified in the teaching methods in this field so that the graduates gain sufficient knowledge to perform their work in a self-sufficient manner. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part discusses key competences, technical and practical skills and didactic methods. Furthermore, two pedagogical approaches to teaching are pre-sented - the Transmissive and the Constructivist, and the Research-Oriented Tea-ching pedagogical approach. The last chapter presents teaching methods in vocati-onal training and how they are used in teaching. In the practical part, the teaching methods are presented seeded into one teaching day with the same topic and bro-ken-down how this day would look like.
Informovanost učitelů středních škol o narušené komunikační schopnosti
Hrubá, Marie
The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of secondary school students with impaired co-communication skills. The main idea of the whole thesis is to find out whether secondary school teachers are sufficiently informed about impaired communication skills and whether they know the methodology of working with a student with PCS. My thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part we will define the basic terminology and concepts, then we will discuss in more detail the topic of PCS, its factors, causes and diagnosis. In the last line of the theoretical part, we will develop an understanding of the different disorders of NKS, its etiology, diagnosis, symptomatology and therapy. The practical part was formed by quantitative research. A questionnaire survey was used to obtain information for my practical part, and then I used tables and graphs to illustrate the results of the questionnaire survey to evaluate the studied sample..
