Vliv glyfosátu na fyziologické procesy v živočišném organismu
Jelínková, Lucie
This bachelor thesis deals with the effect of glyphosate on the animal organism. The influence of individual selected groups of animals and humans is examined in different types of expermients. The bees in the behavioral study showed a reduced response to sucrose, a deterioration in short-term memory and a deterioration in the formation of ofor-foos relationships. Glyphosate reduced biodiversity in the amphibian population and also halved the toxicity at lower doses when the active substance was studied. Glyphosate also affects carp hepatocytes, which are subject to histological changes. The deteriorating health of the fish, which is infested with exoparasites, makes it easier for glyphosate to enter the body. In rats and rabbits, they cause reproductive problems. Human placental cells respond to glyphosate by reducing the production of the enzyme responsible for estrogen synthesis and thus to fertility problems. Glyphosate is more common in professional exposure and i tis similar in the population living in the immediate vicinity of its application.

Hadravová, Jana ; Krčmářová, Tereza (advisor) ; Zemanová, Lenka (referee)
The Risk of Burnout in Primary School Teachers This diploma thesis deals with the risk of burnout syndrome in primary school teachers. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis provides an overview of the theoretical concept of burnout in teachers and the effects of burnout on their job performance and their personal life. The empirical part of the thesis introduces a qualitative research of the risk of burnout in primary school teachers who study the combined form of the 5- year Master's study programme at the Faculty of Education of Charles University, while working full-time. I interviewed several teachers who have been at the greatest risk of burnout, based on a questionnaire survey, about the factors that affect their mental health, about their perceived form of support and about their coping skills. Up to two-thirds of teachers experience exhaustion during their studies. Chronic stress, which is at the highest level during last years of the 5-year study programme, negatively affects their well-being, their family life and their physical and mental health. Key protective factors are problem-focused coping skills and work-life balance. The supportive attitude of the primary school management, as well as the attitude of the Faculty of Education towards studying teachers, can be also of...

The empirical part focuses on investigation based on the data gained from half-structured interviews that we held with individual headmasters of randomly selected fully organized public primary schools in Prague 8. Analyzing the interviews, we were detecting the structure of the headmasters` vocational activities: Which vocational activities match with particular occupational roles of a headmaster, if the roles are equally divided and whether the workload of the headmasters is appropriate in its amount. The structure of headmasters` vocational activities at fully organized public primary schools is in large measure related to the stretch of time considered - the setting of headmasters` daily vocational routines is different...

Stressful Aspects of Work in the Emergency from the Perspective of Paramedics
VELDA, Jakub
Till the present-day the problems of the professional pressure have been explored above all in the field of the EMS nevertheless the inquiry in the field of urgent reception was and still is the field much less explored. In the thesis three aims were specified: To evaluate the most stressing situations of the urgent reception. To compare the stressful aspects of the paramedics at the places of urgent reception with EMS. To suggest the ways of managing stress at the urgent reception. Two inquiry questions were asked to fulfill the aims of the work: Are the paramedics working at the urgent reception able to describe stressing factors? Are the stressing situations same when working at the urgent reception and at the EMS? The inquiry was realized by the collection and analyses of the data while the collection of the data was realized by the qualitative form, by the method of semi-structured dialogues. The dialogues were led with 14 middle medical workers who worked at the position of paramedics. The choice of the workers was random, some of them worked at the urgent reception in Prague, in the Motol Teaching Hospital, in the Střešovice Central Military Hospital and in Královské Vinohrady Teaching Hospital. The questions were ranked into four areas. The first area dealt with the stressing factors and their comparison with the EMS. The respondents were asked why they find their work more difficult and in which it is easier then working at the EMS. Futher which situations they perceive as the most difficult for their psychical balance, if they face some fear in their service or if they are afraid of anything. In the second area we tried to go back with the respondents to the subsequences of the situations they experienced during their service. We traced the situations with which they feel to be influenced at the urgent reception and what kind of situations they were. The third area regarded the professional intervention. Here we found out if the respondents needed the help of the professional psychologist. Consequently if they have a psychologist at their disposal within the framework of their workplace. Lastly the respondents should express their opinion about the professional psychologist in the context of their profession. In the last forth area we dealt with the managing of stress. In this area we found out if the respondents try to cope with the stress load during their service or if they go back to such situations. Then the respondents were to answer if they have some kind of active relaxation and how often they practise this kind of relaxation. Then there was time to answer questions regarding the problems of smoking, alcohol and drugs. Thanks to the determination supported by the inquiry that the most demanding situations at the urgent reception regard death or serious health condition of a young man or a child, it was possible to state the proposion that the paramedics working at the urgent reception were able to describe the stressing factors they deal with. From the results it was also possible to state that the stressing situations at the urgent reception and EMS vary. Also it is necessary to remark that although the stressing situations and their perception vary in specific details, the perception of the demandingness of the work at the urgent reception can be subjective. The results also showed that some respondents found their work easier than working at the EMS. But the paramedics of these two subjects agreed in perceiving the most stressing situation the serious heath condition and death of young people and children. This thesis could be used in praxis to create a conception of a preventive and intervention program as an instrument of managing stress coming out of these results and the mentioned points. It would be only necessary to modify them in the area of urgent reception and in the situations which the respondents find demanding.
Professional Burden on Members of Crews Emergency Medical Service
VELDA, Jakub
Professional load of the Emergency medical service (EMS) workers is the topic of this bachelor?s work, and one of those so far not deeply-mapped themes. The aim of the work was to reveal the crucial factors arousing the professional load, their individual experiencing and handling by the EMS workers. Another goal was to find out about the rescuers? opinions and experience with the psychological help and its modifications. The research was realized qualitatively, using the semi-structured interviews with the members of the EMS rescue crews ? paramedics ? coming from the Central and Southern Bohemian Regions. The research proved the rescuers? personal experience with the critical events which the rescuers felt considerably influenced and distressed by, for a period of time. The respondents also perceive the psychological support provided by the regional EMS as highly-important factor, influencing their psychic stamina; one of the crucial premises for the rescuers? effective and flawless working. The psychological support is sensed as important in both, prevention and intervention. To improve the psychological comfort of the EMS workers, there might be the legislative duty of the employers, who should be obligatory to take care of the psychological side and comfort of their employees with the hazardous occupation.
