Prevention of injuries and the protection of children's health in selected kindergartens and primary schools in the context of electronic entry systems

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of safety and protection of children in kindergartens and primary schools in connection with various types of entry devices. The target was to find out how can we the best ensure and protect children's health in schools based on the choice of entry devices and whether we can change the level of protection and protection of children's health in schools based on the choice of entry devices. The work could be divided into the two parts. In the first theoretical part there are specified the terms related to this issue, there is done and evaluated a questionnaire survey in the second part, designed to map the situation in kindergartens and primary schools in the Vysočina region, in connection with the types of enter devices and their evaluation from the perspective of teachers. Further semi-structured interviews with the directors of selected schools are conducted and evaluated, which clarify the view of the circumstances of the choice of individual types of entry devices. Development of competencies of preschool children in the field of safety and health protection in kindergarten

The bachelor thesis deals with the field of safety and health protection of preschool children. The goals of this thesis is to describe the health and safe behaviour in the concept of pre- school education and based on theoretical approaches, which are important for scientific research, to investigate competence of Czech children that are living in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, in the canton of Geneva. The theoretical part compares Czech Framework Curriculum for pre-school education (Ministry of Education, 2021) with Plan d'étude (curriculum for pre-school education in the French-speaking part of Switzerland) in terms of health education and safety behaviour. It also defines the notion of health and safety in education and the developmental specificities of preschool children that are important for their development in the area under study. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis maps out the risks to preschool children and, along with this, the didactic materials that deal with the issue, which are of Czech and Swiss origin. Peer Element in Prevention of Children's Injuries at Primary School

This diploma thesis engages in the issue of protection of children's health. It focuses on the prevention occurrence of accidents among children. The aim of this thesis is to refer to the importance of this topic and to realize the project, in which primary school pupils have an opportunity to reduce the rate of accidents actively. The theoretical part presents epidemiological data about childhood's accidents, warns of the specifics of psychomotor development of primary school children. In addition to inform about the methods of intervention and prevention levels and it gives an overview of organizations which engage in the protection of health. The practical part presents the results of a survey that addressed the teachers in point of view on idea of leadership in teaching by older primary school pupils. Then constitute the specific prevention project in which fifth grade pupils prepares a lesson on the subject of injury prevention for the second grade pupils. Conclusion the practical part includes modifying the original project and recommendations for teachers, based on the experience gained in implementing the project.

Role of nurse in childhood injuries prevention

The theoretical part of this study is devoted firstly to the definition and conception of injury, which is further classified in accordance with intention, mechanism, place of origin type of accident and the location of the injury on the body. The section on injury prevention describes how to prevent injuries at the primary level (prevent the origin of injury), at the secondary level (reducing consequences) and at a tertiary level ( to minimize the aftereffects of injury). It also shows that the fall in the number of childhood injuries is insufficient in comparison with the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and some Scandinavian countries where Sweden and Finland achieves the best results in injury prevention. The study also describes what is done for prevention of injuries (preventive inspection, dispensary inspection and treatement of injuries). Problems are described from the first preventive examination of a new- born child, followed by preventive examinations throughout the suckling age, the toddler age, the preschool age, the younger school age, the senior/sophomore school age until adolescence /teenagers.
