Legislative Development of Labor Mobility in the European Communities
Šubrt, Michael ; Lukešová, Anna (advisor) ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines the legislative development of labor mobility within the European Communities. The key research question is formulated as: "What has been the development of labor mobility within the European Communities and what legislative changes has this phenomenon undergone?" That makes this thesis a historical single-case study focused on one particular European policy. To explain the development, this thesis analyses primary sources (e.g., the primary and secondary European legislation and international treaties) but it also considers secondary legislation and the broader context. The main article is divided into four subchapters, each dedicated to the development in particular periods: before the establishment of the European Economic Community, after the Treaties of Rome, after the Single European Act, and finally after the establishment of the European Union by the Maastricht Treaty. The conclusion provides a summary of the findings.

It is presenting the historical development in the field of engagement of foreign workers. The basic definitions of the terms migrant, commuter and job mobility are dealt with in the chapter devoted to migration. The author discusses the causes and consequences of migration in the care sector. A considerable space of the theoretical part is devoted to the analysis of specific social- legislative framework of 24 - hour home care of foreign caregivers in Austria. To build the theoretical basis of the work, not only Czech available titles, but especially German written scientific literature and professional articles and official documents of the Austrian government has been used as well. The practical part is based on a research survey, specifically a collection of field data in the form of a structured interview with open questions, which provided the essential data. This research took place in the province of Lower Austria, the region called Waldviertel. After a thorough analysis of data outputs and a comparison with the theses in the literature, it was possible to draw a conclusion to evaluate the experience of the presence of a Czech caregiver in Austrian families and identify the current problems of this specific service. The results may serve in practice as a basis for decision-making, either by care clients or by caregivers who are still considering the eventuality of their future profession in Austria.

The long-term unemployment in Prague in 2017
Helekal, Michal ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Barák, Vladimír (referee)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on long-term unemployment in Prague. It explores the current situation of the long-term unemployed in Prague and their approach to a job search. The approach means a willingness of long-term unemployed to return into the labour market, their awareness of instruments of active labour policy and the state of their labour mobility. The essence of the practical part of the thesis is a survey, in which the labour office provided a questionnaire to the long-term unemployed. Long-term unemployed in Prague are motivated to work and they are able to commute. Nevertheless, the serious problem appears because of rigid labour mobility. Knowledge of implements of active labour policy is not perfect, there is a space for some improvement. Within the practical part a few recommendations are mentioned, which could help with reducing long-term unemployment.

Problematic of fluctuation of nurses
PAVLÍKOVÁ, Lenka
Abstract High turnover of nurses is a hot topic in the Czech Republic. There is a shortage of general nurses in health care facilities. This research is engaged on the reason why nurses are discontented and give up their jobs in health care services. The aim of this paper is to find out the reason for the high turnover of nurses. I used a quantitative research by means of a questionnaire survey to fulfil this aim. The questionnaire contained 35 questions, 26 of which were closed and 9 of which were semi-open. 134 respondents participated in this questionnaire survey. The data were processed by descriptive statistics by means of charts. It follows from the data analysis that nurses turnover is influenced by continuous operation. Wide offer of jobs on the job market, too, affects the high turnover of nurses. Moreover, managers of health care facilities do not take appropriate measures to prevent the staff fluctuation. It results from the research that it is necessary to keep paying attention to this matter. We have mapped out several spheres in our research which are, according to our opinions, narrowly associated with this theme. Our research is based on the theoretic part of this paper. The present paper contributes to mapping out the situation in health care facilities from the point of view of general nurses, leading to increased turnover and lack of staff. The research also shows that there will be sufficient number of nurses if hospital managements are more interested in what their nurses are concerned about and why they cannot exercise their profession and help them out to the highest possible extent. This paper can serve as a matter of consideration for nurses themselves, ward sisters, staff nurses, managements of health care facilities, as well as students of nursing.
Migration of labour force in the context of an enlarged Europe
Polačková, Lenka ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
My thesis deals with intra-EU migration, its motivation factors and then compares the advantages and disadvantages of migration. Free movement of workers is discussed in the next chapter as well as the key mobility drivers and its barriers. The thesis further deals with division of EU member states into receiving and sending countries. Future mobility intentions are analyzed in order to forecast the most probable moves in the future. In its last chapter it mentions labour mobility and ways how to measure it and then it analyses voluntary and forced mobility. In the following part labour mobility is compared to geographical mobility to see their practical implications. The eastern enlargement of the EU has brought some doubts about a massive inflow of labour migrants from the CEE countries to the old member states which has led to the introduction of transitional measures limiting free access to their labour markets. Therefore the main purpose of the thesis is to confirm or refuse the old member states' arguments that a potential migration from the new member states would threaten their labour markets.
