Title: Creation of methodological support for the implementation of movement programs for children of younger school age in Czech, Ukrainian and Russian Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create appropriate and comprehensible methodological support to promote physical activity among Ukrainian children in asylum in the Czech Republic. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of three parts and has a theoretical-empirical character. In the first, theoretical part a qualitative approach (literature search) is used. Prospects of PTSD treatment in war veterans with psychadelic-assisted psychotherapy
Štefánik, Timotej ; Kazharski, Aliaksei (advisor) ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee)
The work examines the prospects of the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in veterans of war with the use of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. At the moment, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy is only partially legal. The term encompasses many substances - currently the only widely-used psychedelic dissociative administered in therapy is ketamine. The substance which is most likely to be the next in the implementation queue is MDMA and psilocybin. This work examines the history of psychedelics and the sources of stigma this term carries. It also examines a number of compelling studies that are pointing to the fact MDMA-assisted psychotherapy might be a useful tool in dealing with veteran PTSD. The empirical part of this research is of qualitative nature. With the use of in-depth interviews, the author gathered data on the state of affairs of the psychedelic research in the Czech Republic and was searching for the obstacles to the implementation of psychedelic therapy. The main conclusion is that psychedelic-assisted therapy faces obstacles in implementation in the form of lack of scientific knowledge on the subject on part of the public, and also faces legal and financial hurdles. The legal hurdles might be lifted in the coming years due to the movement forward in this regard. The...
Trauma and its role in the life of a drug addict
WERNEROVÁ, Barbora
The work deals with the role of trauma in the life of a drug addict with regard to his early childhood and the traumatic events he encountered. The first part of the work is focused on the characteristics of stress, defense mechanisms, post-traumatic stress disorder, then the work presents post-traumatic growth, which is a positive consequence of trauma. The work also deals with the definition of addiction and its origin. The causes and forms of addiction are described. In the last part of the work we deal with the connections between trauma and addiction, specifically how neurobiology and the external environment can be one of the causes of addiction. In this part, the emphasis is on the fact that the event itself is not trauma, but what a person experiences, what takes place within a person and his reaction to a traumatic event, is only trauma. In conclusion, the theory of Gabor Maté is mentioned, who described addiction as a direct consequence of trauma.

Knowledge of selected students of the Charles University of posttraumatic stress disorder
Brodská, Martina ; Hanušová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Kučírek, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on posttraumatic stress disorder and the related psychosomatic conditions looking into the diversity of somatic responses to stress factors or a traumatic event. In the opening part, trauma processing mechanism is described as well as clinical changes in the brain after an unprocessed traumatic event. The following chapters describe therapy options in case of an existing posttraumatic stress disorder, accepting the traumatic event as part of a closed personal history and creating an added value in the form of higher resistance. The closing theoretic part deals with psychosomatic medicine. The practical part inquires into knowledge of students of the teaching and medical study programmes regarding posttraumatic stress disorder and compares the individual groups. The survey results discover surprising gaps in the professional knowledge of future physicians and teachers. By comparing the related data, a recommendation is being made that students' knowledge has to be broadened in this respect. Post-traumatic and stress disorder and its biomarkers
Shalkin, Ilia ; Telenský, Petr (advisor) ; Honc, Ondřej (referee)
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) originally referred to conditions observed among military people. It was first widely accepted as a diagnosis during the First World War. As a result, PTSD was no longer attributed exclusively to the military environment and, at the moment, there are a large number of studies that relate to civilians who developed trauma as a result of a terrorist attack, rape, the death of a loved one, natural and man-made disasters. Severe trauma can affect everyone, and most people manage to cope with stress and continue to live their everyday lives. However, some people may develop PTSD. A person diagnosed with PTSD may have sleep disorders and nightmares, increased irritability, feel guilty and look for the cause of problems in themselves, and may not experience positive emotions. Symptoms of PTSD have a destructive effect on the patient himself and affect loved ones, leading to a break in social ties and loss of work. PTSD is a complex disease affecting various regulatory systems of the body, but despite many studies, the aetiology of PTSD development is not clear today. This fact limits scientists in developing a treatment for PTSD. One of the ways to develop research on the treatment of PTSD uses preclinical and clinical methods to track biomarkers associated with...

Miklóš, Jessica ; Preiss, Marek (advisor) ; Rudorfer, Lothar Filip (referee)
This thesis focuses on the initial validation of the PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5) in its Czech version. It is a self-report method that measures symptoms accompanying posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The theoretical part of the thesis describes the development of the diagnosis of PTSD over time and its current criteria. It also presents a list of diagnostic tools for measuring PTSD, including the PCL-5 and its psychometric properties. The research part of the thesis describes the process of data collection and processing, the results of the hypotheses and discussion. The research sample consisted of 444 respondents (370 women; 74 men) with a mean age of 32,6 years (SD = 10,6). The mean PCL-5 score was 29,3 (SD = 19,9). When comparing the scores of women (M = 30,2; SD = 20) and men (M = 24,7; SD = 18,8), a statistically significant difference was observed (p = 0,029). When comparing respondents who were psychiatric patients (PP; M = 39,5; SD = 20) and those who were not (M = 21,7; SD = 16,6), a significant difference (p < 0,001) was also observed. In case of comparison of respondents by gender who were not PP, no statistically significant difference was confirmed. Cronbach's alpha for the whole questionnaire came out high: 0,955 (for clusters ranging from 0,831-0,908), which is consistent...
