The Using Logistics in a Manufacturing Company

This bachelor thesis deals with using logistics in the brewery Městský pivovar PLATAN s. r. o. It reports on the present state of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consumption in the Czech Republic. The consumption of non-alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic beer has a significantly increasing trend. The largest part of alcoholic drink consumption in the Czech Republic is beer. The strategy of the brewery Platan is presented. The strategy should lead to maintain the sale position the company has reached. An analysis of competitive environment was performed for the investigation of market position of the company Platan. The study describes the material flow and information flow in the company as well. The material flow was described in terms of inputs, production, outputs and reverse logistics. The results of this study show that the gastronomy sphere customers have the widest requirements. Based on the questionnaire investigation, the standards in providing brewing services were compiled. Finally, the distribution services was examined and the possibility of using own transportation when compared to the outside forwarding agent services was explored.
Evaluation of the competitiveness of the company selected by the methods of strategic management

This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the competitiveness of selected company. I used strategic analysis to evaluate the position of the Family brewery Bernard in the market. I assessed the external environment by STEP analysis and Porter´s model and internal environment by analysis of results in functional areas. Questionannire survey is part of the analysis. SWOT analysis was used for overall assessment of the competitiveness. In the last part, there are the suggestions and recommendations for suitable strategy on the market.

The work of Strategic analysis of the brewery Primator, a.s. shows the theoretical ways, that should help to find strategic and finantial position of the company in the terms of the branch and the company itself. These ways are switched into the practice of the brewing branch in the practical part of the work. This part contains the specification of the branch's structure, analysis of the competitiveness, analysis of the internal resources a abilities of the company and the final SWOT analysis, which should help Primator to define its market strategic position.
The Export Strategy of the Pilsner Urquell Company

The bachelor thesis deals with the export strategy of the Pilsner Urquell brewery. In the theoretical part there are mentioned some steps, which are generally an important part of a company's preliminary before entering the international markets. The practical part is presented by the Pilsner Urquell Brewery and its activities abroad. The analysis of local beer markets and the strategy of the brand Pilsner Urquell is shown on the example of Spain and Sweden.
Business Valuation of BERNARD Family Brewery

The thesis consists of a business valuation of BERNARD Family Brewery, a brewery headquartered in the town of Humpolec and belonging to a group of several smaller breweries (related to its size). In 2001, top management decided to finance its company growth through venture capital. The main objective of this thesis is to indicate the market value as of 1/1/2009 by utilizing appraisement measures in accordance with International Valuation Standards (IVS). The business valuation is primarily determined using two well-known valuation approaches - adjusted present value method (based on income analysis) and comparable companies analysis (based on market analysis). In addition, the use of advanced statistics is applied when needed. The purpose of this assessment is to find an appropriate value for owners and other third-party stakeholders. In order to provide a full range of understanding, the paper consists of six main parts that involve a company profile, strategic analysis, financial analysis, value drivers, financial plan and a final valuation. Further, all these parts are split up into few sections.

The goal of my thesis is to assess the financial health of the brewery Černá hora, as. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical section describes the basic methods of financial analysis and related data resources and users. In the practical part, I apply the methods of financial analysis to brewery Černá hora. For a more precise evaluation of the results of financial analysis I carried out a comparison with the inter-family brewery Bernard. Finally, throughout the work are summarized all the findings from the analysis and assessment of the financial situation of the brewery.

Tato práce se zabývá využitím marketingových nástrojů ve společnosti Měšťanský pivovar Strakonice, a.s. Zvláštní důraz je přitom kladen na komunikační mix. Hodnocení využití marketingových nástrojů je provedeno pomocí vlastního dotazníkového šetření a následného zhodnocení získaných dat. Úroveň marketingové komunikace v pivovaru je hodnocena pomocí SWOT analýzy. Na základě toho jsou poté navržena opatření, které by vedly ke zlepšení stávající situace v pivovaru a posílení jeho konkurenční pozice.

V části o rodinném podnikání práce popisuje přednosti a meze rodinného podnikání, jak jsou tyto podniky úspěšné, věnuje se tématu Corporate Vs. Family Governance a managementu nástupnictví. Následuje finanční analýza teoreticky a prakticky, obsahuje analýzu absolutních, rozdílových a poměrových ukazatelů, soustavy poměrových ukazatelů a souhrnné indexy a predikační modely. Pro celkový obraz je práce doplněna o historii pivovarnictví a současný stav pivovarnického průmyslu v ČR i v Evropě.
