STU Innovation Center in Bratislava
Dvorská, Mária ; Obrtlík,, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to create documentation for the building permit and part of the documentation for the construction. The work follows the architectural study, which was developed in the subject AG35 - Atelier of public buildings. The theme of the studio work was the Campus STU Competition by Inspireli. The main idea of the idea competition was to design a representative center of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The project includes the innovative STU science center, educational, social, multi-purpose and leisure spaces both indoors and outdoors and part of the rectory's workplaces. The Innovation Center serves students, pedagogues, researchers and employees of STU, as well as experts from practice, self-government and the public. The campus creates conditions for the interaction of the academic environment with practice and is an important communication space towards the public. This is helped by the opening of the complex and its connection with the main public spaces of the city. I designed a concept called "STUdents city", a city that has imaginary boundaries, while being open to the public, a city where students can find everything they need and can take it for them. During the new construction of the campus, I respond to the surrounding faculty buildings and the context of the place, and to make it open to the faculties materially and conceptually, and at the same time not to disturb them with its substance. I solved the problem of lack of light of the inner block by the potential of the sloping plot and by placing certain objects in the newly created terrain break, at the same time I ensured the supply of natural light and fresh air by means of atriums and skylights. When designing, I took into account the flexibility and variability of interior or exterior use. It was also important for me to use new technologies in the design for the technical school, such as facade glass that is environmentally frien

Vrlová, Ela ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Čupr, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to evolve a study of the subject AG35 to the level of a Documentation of building permits and a Documentation for the execution of the project. The theme is a new building of a church at the Brno suburbs. Specifically, it is a land at Nový Lískovec that is currently not publicly used. The main subject of the task was situating new objects and establishing their functional usage concerning the existing buildings; including urbanist interventions, treatment of the present objects, driveways and designing new communications. Considerable part of work is focused on revitalization of the area for the general public´s recreation, demolishion of the existing buildings functionally unrelated to the topic and then the construction of the new church itself. The building program is based on individually designed solution in mind with the general requirements for the construction, decoration, interior and operation of the church and its purpose. The disposition and the shape of the building are solved simply and generously. The church consists of one above-ground floor and other necessary related operations included. Essential effort in solving this project was to develop the current state of the site and provide a promising usable future.
FPGA based controller drive of BLDC motor
Makówka, David ; Kváš, Marek (referee) ; Valach, Soběslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis concerns different control approaches for driving a BLDC motor using an FPGA chip. Also, a custom type of an inverter circuit was designed. A six-step commutation control scheme has been implemented, to ease the future integration of field-oriented control. The field-oriented control has been designed and simulated in a semestral thesis using a MATLAB Simulink tool. The targeted platform is the FPGA development board Basys 3. Hardware is rated to deliver up to 6 A of current. The handling of error conditions is mainly provided by a DRV8305 gate driver integrated circuit. Errors are also forwarded to the FPGA, for performing further actions. The structure of a controlling scheme is accustomed to the tuning of motor parameters rather than for end-users. Parameters can be set during motor operation and states of the control scheme are stepped separately. The sensing of voltages and currents is handled by an analog-digital converter.

Náměstí míru - extension and rehabilitation of public space in Brno
Šnerch, Jiří ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis Peace of square - completion and reconstruction of the public space in Brno is the topic I chose to elaborate my final work. This is an urban study that seeks to find the most appropriate space solution for a newly created square. Peace Square is located in the part of Brno called Stránice, in the saddle between the Yellow Hill and Kraví hora. It is the natural center of the adjacent Masaryk district, built in the beginning of the 20th century. Significant factors influencing the design are indeed a rich background of civic amenities in the form of the Church of St. Augustine, observatory, park and swimming pool at Kraví hora, two primary schools and gymnasium near the square. The concept is based on the creation of a new compact apartment building, which forms a stable backdrop to the newly created square in front of the Church of Sts. Augustina. The square is open to the auditorium where there is a park on the hill Kraví hora. The proposal emphasizes the compactness of the building, the multifunctionality of objects and the transport hierarchy. This brings people to the forefront and their everyday life and needs. The concept reflects the modern urbanistic trends of the 21st century.
Modern Art Gallery Brno
Manclová, Miroslava ; Fišer, Jiří (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The theme of the project was to create a new gallery of modern art. The gallery will be used by the residents of all age groups from Brno and its surroundings. The land is located on the territory of Brno-Kraví hora. It is delimited by the street Kraví hora, adjacent park with astronomical observatory and planetarium and the allotments. The plot is in the sloping terrain and is currently located with 21 objects serving business entities. The plot is largely surrounded by the greenery of the gardens and adjacent park. The nearest building is an observatory and planetarium. In the vicinity there is also a sports centre and swimming pool. In its proposal, I therefore created another park in which the objects of gallery are integrated and which continuously builds on an already existing park. The Gallery is divided into three buildings, which are connected by an underground communication object. It is also designe dan object with a café and a lecture hall and object with the studios. In the northern corner of the plot is designed parking place, arrival is secured after the street Kraví hora. In the south-western boundary of the plot is terraced slope adapted for leisure activities. My intention was to design a smaller amounts, which may be easier to integrate into a park environment. Objects have only one floor. Gallery objects have another underground floor, which is to ensure the communication between them. Plans have a simple trapezoid shape, which is expanding away from the center of the square, around which are arranged. Roofs are standard with a different slant. Object with the studios has a different height levels.

Koncerová, Lea ; Poslušná, Iva (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
New residential development project in the city district of Brno – Komin follows natural context of place close to Palackého vrch and Brněnská přehrada. Nine residential buildings are designed as a nine buildings set in a continuous landscape and responding to the slope terrain by turning perpendicular to the contour lines. The project aims at the synthesis of comfortable living in the nature with a higher population density. Individual houses are designed as concrete skeletons, whose disposition charge is variable and offers a wide range of sizes of apartments.
Thermal baths Yverdon, five senses in architecture
Křížová, Iveta ; Křikavová, Iva (referee) ; Koleček, Ivan (advisor)
The aim of this work is the solution spa area includes Yverdon les Bains. The existing facility does not meet both their needs, but mainly it is very closed. Park is closed to the public and within his right in the spa area there are several other barriers. Spa Park means to me park, promenade, people moving and elegance. At this point I feel the potential that could reopen the spa park outside world and effortlessly be connected to the outside world, with reference to its historical and thermal value. Therefore, I leave the pit area as much free, with public functions. The spa itself would not be contrary overload the body, but rather a place to stop and peaceful rest. That is why I put myself into a compact mass flowing above the park, which leave the most relaxed movement of people and devote themselves intimacy baths, views of the surroundings and contact with water, the sky opened atrium. Its shape and facade of the building creates a barrier, but rather is permeable and in contact with their surroundings and park.
