In an Apartment in a small town, Mikulov
Solár, Michal ; Kozelský, Tomáš (referee) ; Hora, Jan (advisor)
The concept is based on the historical development of the plot and the city as such. Historically, the area has been defined by self-help and without clearly specified dogmatic guidelines. It is thanks to this that the city is enriched with moments that do not fulfill only the aesthetic or spiritual, but also the functional nature of the city. The moment of surprise and certain visas enriches the interior of the yard as well as the city. At first glance, such annoying spaces have a certain quality, caused by the play of light or the overall concept of space. An important feature of the object is the moment of surprise from the perceived space. The transition from a clearly defined ground floor to the rear, at first glance, irrational courtyard is enhanced by a passage, which also refers to the typical division of the small town house. ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTION The principle of layering of individual spaces clearly reflects the moments of surprise. By specific fragmentation of the building, a character that resembles rather a family house as a residential object, spaces of different quality and utilization are created. The lower dwellings have a spatially and optically separated garden from the total mass, with the top terrace being terraces which are optically linked to the courtyard, but are not accessible to the public. The apartments in the attic have mostly urban character. This creates the principle of co-existence, which is typical of the whole area of the city. The layering is evident in the distribution of flats with different connections to gardens and terraces as well as the variety of housing units. The spirit of the place is a standing cellar that reflects the historical transformation of the parcel and is a symbol of the locality.
Enzymatic hydrolysis of waste paper pulp - source of raw material for production of liquid biofuels
Brummer, Vladimír ; Ing.Marián Illáš (referee) ; Gabriel, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis is aimed at process of enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic material – waste paper as a source of raw material for production of liquid biofuels. In the theoretical part of this work are summarized previously used methods of hydrolysis and lignocellulosic materials used for the process of hydrolysis as a source of fermentable sugars for fermentation technology. The different types of waste paper are evaluated from the composition and usability with consideration to the papermaking process in order to select the appropriate type of waste paper for the enzymatic hydrolysis process. In the next part of this work are suggested technological premises and procedures for the preparation of raw materials and the subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis of these pre–treated materials. In the experimental part were optimized parameters of enzymatic hydrolysis using the Novozymes company enzyme package. Enzymatic degradation of cellulose to reducing sugars was observed using Somogyi – Nelson method. For the verification of hydrolysis conditions were used model materials with high cellulose content – pulp and filter paper. Conditions, which seems to be the best after testing on the model materials, were verified on specific waste paper materials – offset cardboard, recycled paper, matte MYsol paper and for comparison again on model materials – pulp and filter paper. The highest yields was achieved with the use of cardboard, which was further tested using various combinations of pretreatment to material for purpose of increase the yields of hydrolysis.
The Rings
Cendelínová, Kateřina ; Záhora, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The project with the title “The Rings” is a simple card game designed for two players. The theme and content of the game is thematically related to rings, which I have been working on for a long time (also on the material level of jewellery making). The card game can be played by players of any age, but I primarily targeted preschool and school-age children. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to introduce children to the craft of ring making in a fun way. An important element of the visual part of the game is the recognition of the images (illustrations) and their correct composition. This leads to the application of stylized drawings that illustrate selected parts of the ring-making process.
Types of packaging and their representation in municipal waste
Kostková, Kateřina ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the types of packaging materials, related legislation and the use of packaging in practice. The research part of the work presents individual types of materials and their characteristics. An important part of waste treatment is the recycling and utilization of packaging waste. The work presents different recycling principles for individual materials. The practical part analyzes the individual representation of packaging materials of selected consumer products.
Combustion of Paper Pellets
Veselý, František ; Elbl, Patrik (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with combustion of pellets of wheat straw with paper sludge additive. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part deals with theory of combustion and pellets. The second part is experimental and describes combustion test and measurements.
Paper
Plášil, Ondřej ; Novotný, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a portfolio of paper products with respect to established ethical principles. The resulting products must have a suitable design optimized for the manufacturing process. Based on the changes in sales over the past two decades, this work revises the current market position of paper. In addition, it generally examines the unethical communication of paper entities towards the end user. The result of this thesis is a range of products of two selected basic types - notebook and photo album. The overall results of my efforts, including this work, are likely to result in the creation of a new, own brand.
Design of a paper waste container
Jančová, Petra ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Vespalec, Arnošt (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a conceptual design of a paper recycling container with regard to aesthetic shaping, effective use of internal storage space, handling, transport and ergonomic requirements. It solves the shortcomings of current containers by timeless shaping using modern materials and reliable production technologies. The result is a practical container design that uses psychology to encourage the public to sort paper waste and thus contributes to environmental responsibility and sustainability.
The study of the behavior of track chassis using dynamic simulation
Kukla, Lukáš ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jonák, Martin (advisor)
Objectives of the thesis is to develop research summarizing knowledge about the types of tracked undercarriages for existing mobile machines. Developing critical analysis of the various designs of track undercarriages with regard to their use - forest terrain, unpaved surface. Creating a basic structural design of one of the selected type of belt chassis suitable for use in the field. Verification by the design using dynamic simulation.
Behind the Paper
Krejčová, Kristýna ; Svobodová, Adéla (referee) ; Kollarová, Denisa (advisor)
Behind the Paper in the form of installation and printed matter helps to look "behind the paper" - what is hidden in its unwritten sheet. It offers an excursion into how this material is viewed and tries to break through the myths and stereotypes that shape the view of it in the age of globalization, which, under the guise of obviousness, drives our society to alienation and ignorance. Shake with the indifference which we have toward things that surround us - the indifference with which we (do not)look at the paper, for example - can be the first step to the never-ending questions of "how it works". The cultural myths that have become a reality in our eyes have enveloped this medium and erased it from our field of vision. We perceive the A4 sheet with its dimensions of 210 by 297 mm, a pure white surface and its base is spruce wood as a fact. However, the mentioned paper features are a fact of the last century, which is a really short time compared to its two thousand years of existence. We take paper for granted. It is good to realize that we look at many other "things" with the same ignorance, and at the same time they have a fundamental influence on the functioning of our society.
Sludge Utilisation from Pulp and Paper Plant
Zemanová, Kateřina ; Houdková, Lucie (referee) ; Boráň, Jaroslav (advisor)
The contens of diploma thesis is description of paper and pulp production and analysis of contemporary problems with disposal of sludges rising on industrial waste water treatment plant. Accent is focuses on description of waste water treatment technique, characteristics of rising sludge and the ways of his liquidation in particular plant for pulp production. Fundamental part of this project is evaluation of power and economics balance of current sludge technology in company Biocel Paskov a.s. and suggested sludge management technology. Balances are based on data gained from measurement in laboratory and on data gained from literary research.
