Projekt Behind the Paper v podobě instalace a tiskoviny pomáhá pohlédnout „za papír“ – na to, co je skryto v jeho nepopsaném listu. Nabízí exkurzi do způsobů, jakými na tento materiál pohlížet a pokouší se narušit mýty a stereotypy formující pohled na něj v době globalizace, jež pod maskou samozřejmosti žene naší společnost k odcizení a nevědomosti. Otřást lhostejností nad věcmi, které nás obklopují – lhostejností, s jakou (ne)hledíme například na papír – může být první krůček k nekončícím otázkám „jak to funguje“. Kulturní mýty, které se v našich očích staly realitou, zahalily i toto médium a vymazaly ho z našeho zorného pole. To, že má arch A4 rozměry 210 na 297 mm, čistě bílý povrch a jeho základem je smrkové dřevo, vnímáme jako fakt. Zmíněné papírové rysy jsou však skutečností až posledního století, což je v porovnání s jeho dvou tisíci letou existencí opravdu krátká doba. Papír vnímáme jako samozřejmost. Je dobré si uvědomit, že i na mnoho dalších „věcí“ hledíme se stejnou nevědomostí, a přitom mají zásadní vliv na fungování naší společnosti. Behind the Paper in the form of installation and printed matter helps to look "behind the paper" - what is hidden in its unwritten sheet. It offers an excursion into how this material is viewed and tries to break through the myths and stereotypes that shape the view of it in the age of globalization, which, under the guise of obviousness, drives our society to alienation and ignorance. Shake with the indifference which we have toward things that surround us - the indifference with which we (do not)look at the paper, for example - can be the first step to the never-ending questions of "how it works". The cultural myths that have become a reality in our eyes have enveloped this medium and erased it from our field of vision. We perceive the A4 sheet with its dimensions of 210 by 297 mm, a pure white surface and its base is spruce wood as a fact. However, the mentioned paper features are a fact of the last century, which is a really short time compared to its two thousand years of existence. We take paper for granted. It is good to realize that we look at many other "things" with the same ignorance, and at the same time they have a fundamental influence on the functioning of our society.
