Tennis injuries and their prevention
Zapský, Kryštof ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Dragounová, Zuzana (referee)
Title: Tennis injuries and prevention strategies Aim: The aim of the first (theoretical) part of my Bachelor thesis is to compile a summary of the most up-to-date information about the most common tennis injuries, their causes and prevention options in tennis players based on professional literature. The aim of the second (practical) part is to find out through individual in-depth interviews what injuries selected professional tennis players face and what their prevention is against the occurrence of possible injuries. Methods: This Bachelor thesis is done in the form of an overview study, which can be found in the first part of the thesis and analyzes relevant professional literature on the most common tennis injuries and their prevention. The bachelor's thesis is to look into the issue of tennis injuries and injury prevention through in-depth interviews given to us by professional tennis players. All the players who gave me interviews are active professional tennis players. Results: Most of these players report upper extremity injuries such as fatigue fractures of the wrist, rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement syndrome, elbow injuries or inflammation in the hand. When it comes to injury prevention, players agree on the importance of lifestyle and regular sleep, which should occur at the same...
Algometric analysis of influence of crimp grip on soft tissues of hand and forearm.
Vávrová, Hana ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title: Algometric analysis of influence of crimp grip on soft tissues of hand and forearm. Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is comparison and evaluation of changes of nociceptors sensitivity treshold in chosen points of upper extremities area before and after defined strain using pressure algometer. Methods: Data for the experiment was obtained using pressure algometr. Pain threshold was measured in defined 42 points in the order given at each subject firstly before strain and again immediately after defined strain of upper extremities (one minute hangig by the both hands in crimp grip on a campus board in this way: 10 sec strain plus 10 sec break, all six times). Then were measured values statisticaly analysed. Sources for processing of theoretical part of this work were obtained from expert articles and literature which follow up the given task. Results: Statisticaly important results show, that decreasing of pain threshold (on average by 100 - 160 kPa) comes about in tissues of upper extremity immediately after its loading in crimp grip, which means increasing of nociceptors sensitivity. At the same time it has been proved that nociceptors sensitivity in the area of tendon pulleys correlates with frequency of their injury quoted in a literature (that is the highest sensitivity in the...
Case report of therapeutic care patient with lateral humeral epicondylitis
Kieslingová, Anna ; Křížková, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Reckziegelová, Petra (referee)
1 Summary Title: Case report of therapeutic care patient with lateral humeral epicondylitis Object of paper: The primary aim of this work is to demonstrate both theoretical and practical information to the subject of lateral humeral epincondylitis on the grounds of a case report of a patient with this diagnosis, which was established during a hospital university-internship. Abstract: The general part of this work includes theoretical information about lateral humeral epicondylitis, or generally known as enthesopathies, their diagnostic and possibilities of treatment. Where as the specific part of this bachelor dissertation shows a case report of a patient with lateral humeral epicondylitis. The materials and foundation of this bachelor dissertation were gathered during an university-internship at regional hospital Kladno. Key words: Tenis-elbow, overuse, conservative therapy, prevention
The issue of excessive use of antibiotics and its consequences
VOKÁČOVÁ, Nikol
The diploma thesis is devoted to issue of excessive use of antibiotics and ist consequences, the emphasis here is put especially on resistance. Due to the treatment were developed resistance stones, that did not exist earlier. Germs gained new behaviour as time went on and its sensitivity was changed to the given antibiotics. Established goals of this work were to analyse and find out which antibiotics are the most prescribed by practical doctors and what kind of antibiotics are the most used by inhabitants. The next target was to find out if people are aware of consequences of excessive use of antibiotics. The last aim was to capture the development of antibiotics consumption by inhabitants in the Czech Republic. Results show that antibiotics of the penicillin series are among the most commonly prescribed and used antibiotics, 73% of respondents have knowledge of the side effects and the consumption of antibiotics has an increasing tendency.
