Universal audio interface for autonomous use
Trojak, Ondřej ; Šťáva, Martin (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This text analyses the current situation within the audio signal work field and the appropriate ways of connecting electronic networks for processing blocks. The thesis deals with circuit design, firmware programming and physical realization of a subsequently measured autonomous battery-powered interface which provides volume control of input signals and conversion of different types of connectors and signal lines, consuming low power and adding low noise. The device is also equipped with a phantom power supply for condenser microphones. The control consists of a set of buttons, a rotary encoder and a display unit.
Saving power and area with multi-bit pulsed latches
ECG data recorder
Hruškovský, Antonín ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the issue of long-term ECG recording, used in medicine for monitoring of cardiac anomalies. Author focuses on explaning the general concepts in the first part. Author describes measuring methods and issues associated with measuring. Comparison of existing devices and design of solution with own features are in next chapter. Next is comparison and selecting of formats for recording measured data and description of device connectivity. In next chapter author focuses on hardware design and implementation of device. After that author describes software solution design for microcontroller, Bluetooth module and smartphone. Author introduces possible improvements for future generation of the device and then describes results of testing at the end of this work.
The construction of GSM motoalarm system
Rulc, Martin ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with system design and implementation of GSM motorcycle alarm system serving as alarm system for motorcycle. The general aim is system design of alarm device with reference to low power drain in during the period mode monitoring. The alarm device has got above all alarm input, GSM module and horn.
Utilization of Knowledge Systems and Bases for Selection and Evaluation of Domestic Electrical Installations.
Haluza, Miroslav ; Martínek, Zbyněk (referee) ; Gurecký, Jiří (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
My doctoral thesis deals with use of the sophisticated methods for the selection of technical and economic solution of electrical wiring. This solution is based not only on a price but also on many other criteria such as a comfort, service, durability etc. The focus of the work is a treatise on wiring systems from a global perspective, where it is impossible to use a conventional approach for objective evaluation and selection of the appropriate electrical wiring system (because of the complexity of such systems and their interdependencies). In the four chapter are given information of an energy consumption (the total consumption and household consumption). In this chapter is given also a consumption prediction – especially for households. Following is an overview of possible measures for reducing electricity consumption in households. In the next part of this thesis are solved the knowledge, respectively expert systems for use in an electrical engineering – especially for a suitable tool for the selection and evaluation of households wiring electrical system. The result of this work provides a possible solution for a selection of wiring electrical system for households (focusing on the intelligent wiring) – from a technical and economic point of view and with using an innovative approach. The main contribution of this work is a proposal of the main part of the knowledge base. This base could be as a basis for knowledge, respectively for an evaluating technical and economical solution of an electrical wiring system – the expert system includes also a feedback function of an effectiveness solution, use value, price etc., which would also serve as a knowledge base.
Low-voltage low-power rectifiers for biological signals processing
Bárta, Jakub ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of precision rectifier for low voltage and low power aplocations in CMOS technology. First chapter introduces most common biological signals and it’s acquision and processing. Second chapter describes different types of rectifiers it’s usability in low power aplications and suitability for biomedical signal processing. Third chapter shows different operational amplifier topologies used in precision rectifier circuits. Fourth chapter deals with design of precision rectifier using different operational amplifier structures and it’s comparison.

Environmental data collection
Krásl, Martin ; Jaroš, Martin (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design of a meteorological station for collecting environmental data that measures non-electrical quantities characterizing environmental conditions. The station is designed to send the collected data to a server for further processing. The design of the station is adapted to low consumption thanks to the possibility of power supply from a photovoltaic panel. The implementation of the station involves the use of an STM32 microprocessor, LTE phone module, Wifi, camera and a set of sensors. Among the selected phenomena monitored by the sensors are measurements of temperature, pressure, wind speed and direction, precipitation, ambient light radiation, UV index, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and dust particles. This thesis also focuses on remote archiving of measured data on the server and providing measured data in the web user interface.
