On the basis of the study, created in the subject AG32, it is processed following bachelor’s thesis, which further developed the study to level of Building permit documentation and Documentation for execution of the project. The theme of the work is a Modern art gallery Brno, for that was entered instead of building on Kraví Hora in Brno, Veveří. Near of the solved land is park, located at Kraví Hora, the Observatory and Planetarium in Brno, a swimming pool on Kraví Hora, gardening in the neighbourhood of the northern and eastern sides, and tennis court halls at the southern border of the plot. The land is sloping, which relatively affected the design. My main idea was to create a monumental building for the public, which will represent its function, and at the same time it will be possible in accordance with the morphology of the terrain. This helps the rendering of the façade of the building with a Colonnade on the imaginary postament, formed by the lower floor, public space in front of the gallery with landscaping, and reduction in the northern part of the object with a green roof to ground level. The Gallery has the function of cultural-educational, with the associated functions of the commercial, which represents integrated Café and leasable space Studios. The architecture of the building itself plays with a combination of the rational and the organic concept.

The concept of the gallery is adapted to the task of creating a multifunctional building with variable use, where is able to held several parallel exhibitions. Also a café, library and two lecture halls are located in the building. The designed building has two underground floors, above the ground level extended in three sculpture blocks. The composition forms a semi-private piazza which can also have the function of exterior exhibition place. In the surrounding area is a park and a parking lot for 49 cars. The project documentation is solved only for one part of the building – one above-ground sculpture and its underground sector. Here is located the multifunctional hall, the main exhibition hall with adjacent two-storey foyer, administration offices and a spacious depository (2S).

Gallery of modern art is located in the historical center of the Brno city. This part is known as "Ringstrasse". Following the Wiena ringstrasse, in Brno, this part is a place for important culture buildings. Close to the gallery, we can find several culture institutions, such as Mahen's theatre, Janacek's theatre, or House of culture. So, Gallery of modern art make's sense in these parts of the city. Main goal was to create a step between city part and city parks. The main inspiration, for me, was an old fortification object called bastion. It was build during baroco era and demolished in the times of Napoleon's wars. I want to bring back an object that formed old city and its surroundings, so its replacement will fit in. It's cascades with green teracces goes down towards the parks, that are next to the gallery.
Olomouc Central European Forum
Machát, Jan ; Velek, Jan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The new building of Olomouc Central Europian Forum is concieved as an extension to the existing building of Olomouc Art Museum. It fills the space of existing vacant lot clining to the existing object from the west. The new building contains new spaces for modern art expositions and also creates enough storage capacity for the new and the existing building. The architectural solution results from the division of historic building estates and from the character of surrounging build-up area. The volume of the building rising from the site is created by five tracts oriented perpendiculary to the street boundary, that are of a simple shape of block with pitched roof. In the central part the tracts are transected by a traversing volume of a galery with glass pitched roof, that provides additional daylight for the central part and connects the new and the existing building. The facade of the new building is created as a doubled construction with the interior screen made of pure double glass and the exterion screen made of milk glass, that transmits enough difuse light into the inner spaces. There is a LED screen stretched in between these two transparent planes, thanks to which the facade glows in the dark with interesting light effects.

The second mass serves as an entrance hall and communication space in the middle part of the building. The third mass serves as the cafe and exhibition spaces with two floors. Degenerate Art" and the Reflexion of the Great War in Works of Otto Dix and George Grosz
Procházková, Veronika ; Zelená, Alena (advisor) ; Pelánová, Anita (referee)
The most dominant features of the last century are without a doubt the two world wars, which became a subject for creations of many artists. The First World War also known as the Great War is a theme of many works of literature, which are up to now ranked as bestsellers. In contrast, the war-terrors on the canvases of German modernists are not as popular. "Degenerate Art" or "Entartete Kunst" is an important period in the history of art and the Degenerate Art Exhibition 1937 in Munich became one of the landmarks and also one of the most visited and also controversial exhibitions of all time. The boom of expressionisms at the beginning of the century and altogether the evolution of modern art presents an interesting antipole to the political transformation in Germany. On the one side, there is a new and for many misunderstood way of painting, which strongly criticized war, society, religion etc.; on the other hand, there is the Nazi ideology about the invincible nation and the vision of the classical art. War horrors were used as a matter in the works of many artists, but the most brutal and the most realistic are the works of Otto Dix and George Grosz. Otto Dix became famous for his fanatical representation of suffering and war terror. Dix was a front machine-gunner and maybe because of that, devoted his...
