Čermák, Michal ; Kohoutek, Jan (advisor) ; Potůček, Martin (referee)
Téma: Politizace jako problém státní správy Autor: Michal Čermák Vedoucí práce: Mgr. Jan Kohoutek Ph.D. Fakulta sociálních věd - institut sociologických studií - Katedra veřejné a sociální politiky Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of politicization of the Czech state administration. This problem is quite widely used in the media space, especially after every parliamentary election. However, nowhere is there precise data and description of how extensive this phenomenon is within the Czech state administration. This is mainly due to the unavailability of data directly from the Czech state administration. Due to the aforementioned unavailability of data, I decided to conduct qualitative research through interviews in this thesis. The interviewees were both experts in the field of public administration and politicization, and representatives of the largest political entities. By combining the opinions of experts and politicians, whose attitude towards politicization has not been mapped so far, I tried to get a new perspective on the issue of politicization and at the same time information from the practical functioning of public administration, to which politicians are close. Overall, the results suggest that the Czech civil service is not in as catastrophic a state as is sometimes presented...

This diploma thesis focuses on determining the internal and external factors (both economic and social) that affect the motivation of civil servants to conduct and perform their work activities in ministries of the Czech Republic. The research that forms the basis for it is primarily a follow-up to the quantitative research of prof.PhDr.Arnošt Veselý, Ph.D. The diploma thesis is multidisciplinary and not only deals with human resource management in terms of its functionality, efficiency, and effectiveness, but also in terms of its influence on, among other things, public policy, sociology, psychology and public economics. The theoretical part is based on the theory of motivation (Madsen), McGregor's theory of X and Y, Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the theory of bureaucracy (Weber). The work is theoretically and methodologically anchored in the findings of alternative action theory (Weinberger, 1997), the ontology of ethical phenomenon (Hartmann, 2002) and the concept of public accountability (Veselý). The empirical part includes the results of qualitative research conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with 17 ministerial officials across 8 ministries of the Czech Republic. During the interviews, research topics were presented in the form of questions, the answers to which were...
Digital diplomacy and corporate identity of state administration of the Czech Republic
Gonšenicová, Jana ; Mikeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Peterková, Jana (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on a very modern part of public diplomacy and state communication concerning digital technologies and online information transmission using Internet tools. Digital media is currently the most effective way for all countries to reach out to the general public and build their positive image. It is therefore necessary to underline the national identity as such, because it is key to effective foreign policy and the achievement of its goals. This is inevitably linked to the corporate identity, which is one of the most important tools for this purpose. The practical part is devoted to issues of corporate identity of the state administration and the Czech Republic abroad. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze individual visual styles and websites of ministries to point out that Czech digital diplomacy is characterized by a low level of strategic approach and coordination. Furthermore, there are additional recommendations for changes and proposals of own logotypes for ministerial departments and the official and the tourist logo of the Czech Republic.
