Trade unions in the media discussion on coronavirus: a comparative analysis of the discussion in the Czech Republic and Russia

This paper provides a comparative analysis of the first year of the media debate on coronavirus involving trade unions. An analysis of the media debate reveals the position and role of trade unions both on the subject of coronavirus and in society in general. We chose trade unions in Russia and the Czech Republic for comparison. We analysed the discussion in Russian and Czech media sources. The findings of the content and network analysis are complemented by the results of interviews with trade union members in Russia and the Czech Republic. The study highlights the bargaining and deliberative role of trade unions in the Czech Republic, which tend to act in concert. However, in Russia the division between traditional and alternative unions has become even more pronounced during the pandemic. The study shows that traditional and alternative trade unions have different methods and approaches to dealing with situations and bargaining in tripartite contracts. In both the Czech and Russian discussions, there is a model of biocommunicability - public sphere. The model assumes that information about health is useful because it facilitates collective decision-making about public interest, where both citizens and policy makers make decisions. Title: Popularity of the sports media in the press and on the Internet - the sociodemographic profile of readers Target: The aim of thesis is to analyze the popularity of the media in sport. The thesis is focused on the sports media in the press and on the Internet and their development over the last few years. Own contribution of the thesis is the creation of socio-demographic profile of reader and exploring its relationship to sport. After that created profiles are compared to find similarities and differences. Methods: The research part of the thesis is based on analysis and processing of data from market research. Research is focused on sports media in print and on the internet, therefore is the final chapter of the research used the method of comparison that reveals differences and similarities of both types of media. The theoretical part of the thesis uses methods of analysis of documents. Results: The results of the thesis show us that print and online media experience different time and this is also reflected in the sports media. The print media loses popularity and their future is uncertain, on the the other side online media have experienced a sharp increase in popularity in recent years. Signal Festival, its presentation and medialization

The present bachelor thesis is focused on the presentation and medialization of the light festival entitled Signal Festival. It analyzes and compares the medialization of all four editions of the festival, which were held between the years 2013 and 2016. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on methods used in media research. It also deals with the transformation of a cultural event into media event and specifically factors influencing this transformation. The practical part provides a quantitative analysis of media outputs during each of the editions of the festival, based on individual media outputs recorded in the media database Anopress. The thesis finishes with an evaluation of the efficiency of communication between the festival and media organizations.

The main objective of the diploma thesis is The Media image of the World Cogress of Women in Pragie in 1981 in chosen contemporary press. Women from 133 countries went, in the period from 8 to 13 October 1981, to the Palace of Culture in Prague to discuss equality and peace, descended on the event hosted by the Women's International Democratic Federation. The World Cogress of Women was seen as one of the most important political events of the year 1981 by the Eastern bloc countries. Grasping the topic to handle an event about which no literature after 1989, which would address it, thes describe the media scene, analyze access to press coverage of the event and last but not least, to characterize the status and role of women in 1981, as presented by media. This thesis aids to bring this historical event from a historical perpective of selected dailies and magazine and bring in-depth study of the topic.
Analysis of the Media Market of the Czech Republic

The purpose of theoretical part of this bachelor thesis is to give readers an introduction about the basic terminology of media and present the historical context which have led to the shaping of the media into the form in which we know them today. Furthermore, in the theoretical part there will be characterized various media types including putting of their advantages and disadvantages. In detail, I will focus on planning of media campaigns.The purpose of practical part of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of the current state of media which are shaping the Czech media market. I will examine the state and the evolution of media market using the public outcomes of the long-term projects which are monitoring Czech media.
