Flow around winglet
Grešáková, Kristýna ; Rudolf, Pavel (referee) ; Sluše, Jan (advisor)
The first part of this bachelor´s thesis deals with the use of winglets and fluid flow around them. The second part provides a view of model experiments, anemometry and visualization of flow. The final section focuses on real experiment in aerodynamic tunnel.
Time evolution of velocity distribution in the specific area of the calibration channel
Kosík, Ondřej ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the verification and determination of the degree of reliability of the calibration track. The mean speed values for individual reference speeds, which ranged from 0,0507-1,4036 m•s-1, were measured by LDA. With increasing speed, the mean square deviation also increased, reaching the highest value of 0,0034 m•s-1. The percentage deviation, which is core value for the given measurement, on the other hand, changed inversely with respect to the mean values of the speed and its values ranged from 0,242-0,473 %.
Sensor for sensing of the one-time fast events
Kočí, Radek ; Kubásek, Radek (referee) ; Klusáček, Stanislav (advisor)
In this thesis are analyzed and compared currently used methods for measuring the speed of moving objects. These are primarily optical and electromagnetic methods. In the practical part is made a design of a new electromagnetic sensor arrangement on the inductive principle using modeling in program FEMM, through the compilation and verification of practical functionality.
Methods for measuring transmission parameters of data networks
Modrák, Zdeněk ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
Study and benchmarking methodology description of methods for measuring transmission parameters of data networks were the objectives of bachelor’s thesis. My sources were the RFC standards. Those are the basic recommendations of internet networks. I tested web applications for measuring transmission parameters. The test was based on the study of RFC 2544 and also I tested utility for the Linux operating system. I designed a web application for measuring basic parameters of data networks. Basic parameters are transmission stream from the server to the user, the transmission stream from the user to the server, delay and stability. Design of the application was based on experiences from testing web applications and utility. The application is using PHP server’s language along with MySQL database and JavaScript client’s language. The application also works on smart phones and tablets. The measured data should be presented by graphs.
Perception of vehicle speed
Kamasová, Lenka ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of driver´s subjective estimation of vehicle speed and at the same time it is a project dealing with acquisition and evaluation of data obtained during the driving tests. The perceived vehicle speed is examined from the perspective of a driver - the respondent, who has no possibility of controlling the actual vehicle speed on the vehicle's speedometer. The aim is to either confirm or refute whether the driver is able to adequately estimate the speed of a moving vehicle in the event of an accident as well as describe the factors that may affect a subjective estimation of the driver's speed.
Radar-Based Measurement for Speed Disciplines
Piňos, Michal ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is radar-based measurement for speed disciplines. For this purpose, the Doppler radar with continuous wave was used, K-MC4 to be specific. Standard signal processing techniques were used to extract the speed information from the radar signal. The key method for obtaining Doppler frequency from signal is Fourier transform. Cosine effect is compensated based on the computed angle. The result of this work is a detector capable of measuring speed and direction of measured objects. Implemented solution also allows the detection of certain objects.
Efficient Algorithms for Finite Automata
Polanský, Ondřej ; Lengál, Ondřej (referee) ; Holík, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis compares languages C++, C#, OCaml and Python based on speed, memory requirements and programming comfort. The goal of this thesis is to find out how much does the choice of a certain programming language impact the performance of programs working with finite automata. The same set of basic and advanced automata algorithms was implemented in each language and their efficiency was measured on a sample of 200 finite automata using a unix based operating system. Finally, the author presents results and discusses suitability of each language for work with finite automata. This thesis can help with selecting an appropriate programming language for multitude of purposes, including development of automata algorithm libraries or the process of designing programs and prototypes that work with finite automata.
Comparison of speed measurement by hydrometric propeller and laser anemometer
Kosík, Ondřej ; Haluza,, Miloslav (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
This final thesis deals primarily with the comparison of two calibration approaches. It determines the degree of mutual agreement and tries to answer the reasons of their deviations. This agreement was measured by the LDA method. It was found that the calibration approach based on the reference framework of values of the previous bachelor thesis differs systematically from the calibration using calibration equations obtained from certified laboratories by -2 %. The causes of this deviation were investigated using LDA and PIV. Although a significant number of measurements were performed, all tested hypotheses were refuted and therefore it was not possible to determine their cause.
Traffic Doppler Radar
Kulig, Radomír ; Józsa, Ladislav (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with problematics of speed measurement of an object with a Doppler radar. This radar communicates with other environment through RS232 interface. The complete solution of this Doppler radar is provided in the thesis. There are electrical schemes of all parts and program to control microcontroller in this work. Speed measurements for the radar are summarized in the end of the work.
Automatic Traffic Video Surveillance: Fine-Grained Recognition of Vehicles and Automatic Speed Measurement
Sochor, Jakub ; Elder, James (referee) ; Svoboda,, Tomáš (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
