Motor skills in a preschool child with impaired communication ability

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is motor skills and graphomotor skills in a preschool child with impaired communication ability. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is the training and practice of gross motor skills, oromotor skills and graphomotor skills in preschool children with impaired communication skills aged five to six years who attend a speech therapy class established at a regular kindergarten. Another goal was to develop a methodological program. One of the partial goals was to observe and shoot a selected research sample during activities developing motor skills. The theoretical part deals with the topic of impaired communication skills in preschool children, the possibility of requesting a postponement of compulsory school attendance and also selected cognitive functions affecting motor activities. The main part of the theoretical work consists of the chapter on motor skills, which includes motor skills, gross motor skills and coordination of movement, graphomotor skills, oromotor skills and also fine motor skills. The content of the next part consists of laterality and speech therapy in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the method of observation was applied, mainly due to video recording and also the method of individual approach and interview. The methodical program for the development of motor skills contains methodical procedures of exercises, elements from the field of oromotor skills and graphomotor sheets. All these materials were applied for one month and evaluated according to selected or elected evaluation scales. The results are successful, as all children from the selected research sample improved in all stimulated areas.
Musical Activities for Children with Delayed Speech Development

As a topic of this bachelor thesis, I cover musical activities for children with delayed speech development. In the theoretical part, I focus on the specifics of correct children's speech development,the fundamentals of communicationandspeechand musical educationinthe pre- school age. I study the definitions, ways of diagnosing and the causes for the delayed speech development. The goal of the empirical part was tofindout the best way possible tohelpchildrenwith delayed speech development using musical activities with participation of a speech therapist. Throughout the consultations with the speech therapist, I had a chance to meet children who suffer from delayed speech development. I used vocal games (both previously published and created by me), evaluated the reactions and the degree of development of the children. The empirical part consist od six case studies and records of five meetings. The research is accompaniedby a poll filled out by the parents of the children I met during the research. I also carried out an interview with the speech therapist. The research's findings suggest that the musical activities helpto develop vocabulary and accelerate overall speech development of the childrenwith delayed speech development. Contribution of Miloš Sovák to establishment and development of logopedic facilities till the year 1989

The topic of this bachelor thesis is "The contribution of Miloš Sovák to establishment and development of logopedic facilities till the year 1989". It targets on respectable personality of the special pedagogy of Prof. MUDr. et PhDr. Miloš Sovák, DrSc. (1905 - 1989) and on his achievements in the area of logopedics primarily. This thesis deals with introducing of Miloš Sovák as a personality, it describes his role in the special pedagogy but it is mainly concerned with logopedic care in Czechoslovakia and with contribution of Miloš Sovák to establishment and development of logopedic facilities. The thesis explains and illustrates us Sovák's progressive thoughts and actions, which have led to a development of logopedics. This thesis is based on exploration and comparison of Sovák's publications and his professional articles and it is furthermore based on sources of other significant participating personalities.

Possibility of using art therapy in the treatment of speech therapy

This work with title Possibility of using art therapy in the treatment of speech therapy lay down the goal in theoretic part describe penetrations art therapy and speech therapy and presented so coherent summary those problems in all symptomatic classification of speech language disorder. And then in scope art therapy define main relations and ideas from sphere terminology, definitions and analysis. In this sphere also defined forms therapy and presented triangular model of relationship among client, art therapist and art work. It concentated also on goals art therapy and meaning of colours. It also devoted to relationship of art therapy and special education. Practical part has two units. In it's scope there was the goal to form the logopedic - art therapy programme. First part engaged in logopedic - art therapy programme LOGOART, that is here shortly presented. The second part then started from three guestionnaire researches and concentrated on benefits of this programme, meaning of inquiry persons i fit would be intoductioned to the school practice, or would be supplement of speech therapy. Speech therapy in Czech elementary schools for children (age 6 - 12) with hearing handicaps

The bachelor thesis focuses on the approaches to speech therapy practice at selected elementary schools (age 6-12) for children with hearing handicaps. Particular attention is given to the organisation scheme, the position of speech therapy in the school's educational concept and to the relation of speech therapy to various educational subjects. The introduction describes the relation of speech therapy to the upbringing and education of pupils with hearing handicaps. The second part gives details on the research at selected elementary schools for children with hearing handicaps and provides basic characteristics of these schools. The third part contains a summary of curricular documents which have affected the education of pupils with hearing handicaps during the past sixty years and which impacted, among other things, the practice and goals of speech therapy among these pupils. This part is closely related to the fourth part which focuses on the description of differences in the position of speech therapy in individual educational subjects in the past and the present. The final part compares the former and the current organisation of individual and collective speech therapy at schools for children with hearing handicaps.
