Price of the works in terms of investor
Chalupová, Hana ; Comorek,, Martin (referee) ; Marková, Leonora (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to built the optimal price of the works in terms of investor. The compilation of construction cost of a family house considering the charges resulting from its usage. Two functional segments from the budget were chosen for creating an alternative solution including the costs assessment and the life cycle costs. Finally, the optimal variant of materials was chosen and the price was compiled.
Economic analysis of building optimization
Pospíchalová, Barbora ; Zelníčková, Aneta (referee) ; Vaňková, Lucie (advisor)
The Master’s thesis deals with the energy savings of a prefabricated house. In the theoretical part, the issue of investment and risk management are first dealt with. Afterwards, the thesis deals with large panel construction in the Czech Republic, energy performance of buildings, heat losses, and especially methods for invesment appraisal. The main objective of the thesis is the economic analysis and the life-cycle analysis. The case study deals with the calculation of saving on heating the prefabricated house after its refurbishment and calculation of economic indicators.
Modeling and simulation of investment project risk
Pospíšilová, Barbora ; Heralová,, Renáta Schneiderová - (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (referee) ; Tomanová, Štěpánka (referee) ; Korytárová, Jana (advisor)
This doctoral thesis deals with modelling and simulation of investment projects and linking risk management with new trends in construction industry. Process of balancing of acceptable risk level and investment costs is really complex and is influenced by several uncertainties. Simulation methods are able to model future scenarios of project development and quantify impact of risk factors. The aim of the doctoral thesis is to find an optimal methodology for risk analysis during decision-making process using simulation methods. The methodology links modeling by simulation method Monte Carlo with CBA, with risk analysis respectively. The aim is to reach more effective process of planning of investment projects. An accurate project plan in preinvestment phase will influence effectiveness of life cycle costs significantly. This is proved also by BIM methodology which works on base of transfer and storage of actual and complete information about investment plan within its whole lifecycle. Expected output of the thesis is effective application of simulation methods in risk prediction for modeling of outputs of investment project. Data from model are useful for decision making process, risk management, controlling and postaudit of investments. Projects can be evaluated by their complex benefits and quality with respect to sustainability.
Cost analysis of engineering structures
Klec, Martin ; Kudrna, Jan (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis titled "Cost analysis of engineering structures" presents a comparison of the life cycle costs of linear structures with an asphalt surface against the life cycle cost of linear structures with a concrete surface. The thesis deals with prices, costs, calculations and budgets in its theoretical part. The following chapters present history and current status, road constructions, life cycle of the construction and differences between concrete and asphalt covering. Practical part of the thesis is divided into three parts. In each sub-section, there is a practical example of comparing the costs of the life cycle of linear structure with the asphalt surface against the costs of the life cycle of linear structure with the concrete surface. Everything is expressed in graphs.
Economy of ventilation units
Kratochvila, Lukáš ; Pech, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis discuss methods of comparing air handling units from the economy of operating stage aspect. Introductory chapters have research character and they are about ventilation and air handling units. In further chapters, there are described and demonstrated 3 methods for comparing units. These methods are compared in the conclusion.
Application of the principles of facility management for cost optimization of administrative buildings
Rosecká, Zdenka ; Fellow, Ondřej Štrup, IFMA (referee) ; Somorová,, Viera (referee) ; Puchýř, Bohumil (referee) ; Tichá, Alena (advisor)
The current civil engineering reality is showing disturbing fact that no profession are present in all phases the life cycle of a construction object. Is becoming increasingly evident need for interconnection of all participants of the investment process in all phases the life cycle of a construction object, and it is thanks to facility management. Facility management in the Czech Republic is still relatively new and continually develops. Facility management is introduced including the associated standards in this thesis.Thesis deals with the position of facility manager and define facility management principles. The proposed methodology for monitoring of the operational life cycle cost of buildings is also presented on the specific construction object. Defined facility management principles are then set in the context of cost management of the selected construction object. The aim of the doctoral thesis is to prove or disprove that the application of the facility management principles can optimize the costs of administrative buildings.
Assessing the effect of the structural design on the value of the structure within its life cycle
Hrdlička, Tomáš ; Korytárová, Jana (referee) ; Schneiderová Heralová, Renáta (referee) ; Cupal, Martin (advisor)
The dissertation focuses on a much-discussed topic in the field of construction of houses and the choice of material base of houses. The research is motivated by the fundamental question of whether wood-based houses (wooden buildings) are cheaper or more expensive than brick-based houses. The two most frequently used material bases are therefore subjected to a series of analyzes, both in terms of acquisition and investment costs, respectively, and in terms of life cycle costs focused to structures. At the same time, attention is paid to other pricesetting factors that significantly affect the investment costs of houses. Based on the analysis of a database containing 1.520 houses, the material base appears to be a variable that has a very small effect on the costs, and this difference can often be overshadowed by other variables such as the size of the family house, the amount of floors, heating, etc. At the same time, the work verifies the relevance of commonly used methods of cost valuation of houses (price indicators, cost method according to the price regulation 441/2013 Coll., as amended) in comparison with investment costs determined on the basis of market data. There was found high deviation. The analysis of selected phases of the life cycle of family houses points to higher costs associated with structures during the entire life cycle of wooden buildings. Specifically, the difference is on average 6.1 %.
Assessment of Building in Terms of Carbon Footprint and Circular Economy
Budajová, Jana ; Vilčeková, Silvia ; Mésároš, Peter
The construction industry is the primary source of environmental impacts, especially the carbon footprint. Life cycle assessment (LCA) as an analytical method is used for quantifying the environmental impact of the investigated residential building. Life cycle costs (LCC) from the point of view of the circular economy create an economic model prioritizing reuse and recycling. The aim of this paper is to assess the residential building in terms of carbon footprint, using LCA analysis and circular economy, using LCC analysis. The residential building emits 1 756 tons of CO2e, which represents 41.35 kg CO2e/m2/year. The total estimated life cycle cost of the building in nominal terms is 1 694 699.61 €. This is the average total life cycle cost of 1 995.21 €/m2.
Municipality and GPP
Šlechtová, Markéta ; Ochrana, František (advisor) ; Kovács, Radek (referee)
1 Abstract With effect from 1 January 2021, municipalities, as contracting authorities, have to comply with environmentally responsible procurement principles, taking into account the nature and purpose of the contract. In this context, we are talking about green public procurement, the requirements of which arise from the European Union directives. This thesis deals with green public procurement by municipalities in the Czech Republic. Since this issue has not yet been explored and widespread in the Czech Republic, the introduction of the new obligation may cause difficulties for municipalities in practice. Therefore, this paper focuses on the attitudes of Czech municipalities towards green public procurement and analyses the specifics of the preparation of green public procurement compared to other public procurement and the resulting new requirements imposed on municipalities. The thesis is intended to serve as a basic insight into the examined issues as well as a potential basis for the practice of municipalities as contracting authorities. The thesis is based on the theoretical background of public interest, sustainable development, good governance and public finance. In terms of methodology, a qualitative type of research was chosen for the purposes of this thesis and a case study was chosen as a type...
