Práce popisuje více než pětapadesátiletý vývoj informačního střediska Výzkumného ústavu psychiatrického/Psychiatrického centra Praha/Národního ústavu duševního zdraví. Všímá si změn a posunů v oblasti prostorového a materiálového vybavení, personálního zajištění, činnosti knihovny, poskytovaných informačních služeb a dalších činností informačního střediska v jednotlivých dekádách vývoje. Na pozadí vývoje výzkumného programu instituce hledá zásadní milníky v rozvoji informačních služeb. V závěru navrhuje některé další směry činnosti, aby se středisko maximálně uplatnilo i v nových a aktuálně výrazně ekonomicky změněných podmínkách nové instituce - Národního ústavu duševního zdraví. Czech mass media and Security information Service: media perspective on the annual reports of the BIS

The diploma thesis Czech mass media and Security Information Service: media perspective of the annual report of BIS focuses on the image of the annual report published by the Security Information Service (often used acronym "BIS") in selected mass media: servers Parlamentni listy, Aktualne, and daily newspaper Lidove noviny. The author is looking to answer the research question Do Czech mass media present the annual report of the BIS differently? If yes, why? The author follows the hypothesis that Czech mass media contribute a different image of BIS. The reason for these contrasting opinions lies both in the internal and external factors, such as changes in ownership structures, other relationships with the BIS, or various attributes of readers. Firstly, the author describes existing literature, theory and its application, and methodology. Concerning media theory is explained and linked to the idea of social constructivism. At the example of selected foreign information services, the author highlights the Security Information Service and mass media relationship complexity. In the empirical part, the diploma thesis continues with applying quantitative content analysis in the selected time range of 1996-2019. The Bachelor Thesis "The Objectivity of the News of Informační Servis and Rudé Právo in the Period November 1989 to December 1989 " is devoted to describe the news content of the titles Rudé právo and Informační servis and their objectivity in the period November to December 1989. In particular, the qualitative method of content analysis was applied for the analysis. This is conceived as an interpretative analysis of source texts. The thesis describes the differences between the two titles and, especially, the development that the titles passed during the period under review working with the information and its interpretation. The research part of the thesis is supplemented by the theoretical and methodological parts. Part of the theoretical one is a description of the period and its media situation.

Information Support for Patients with Multiple Sclerosis in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis discusses information support of patients with multiple sclerosis, their families and the public in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis describes the disease multiple sclerosis itself and depicts the development of information support in the Czech Republic in comparison with the development in the world. It also presents various Czech organizations that deal with this disease, and their activities, including evaluation of the methods and extent of information that these organizations provide. The second part of my thesis contains an analysis of the level of information support according to several factors. I solved the selected topic using text analysis. The result is a comprehensive description of Czech organizations (MS Centre, Unie Roska, etc.) and their activities, which benefits not only the patients with this disease. Strategic plan of optimalization information needs in company Weiler s.r.o.

This diploma thesis deals with issue of optimization of information needs in engineering company Weiler s.r.o. This work consists of otheoretical background, on which is established practical part, which contains strategic analysis of companies environment and information needs. There is processed strategic plan of optimization in three alternatives on these foundations - pessimistic with no change in the company, realistic, which counts with use of one information worker and optimistic, which counts with establishing an information department in the company. The final plan is elaboration of realistic alternative including financial plan, which contains the electivity calculation.

Tato část zprávy pojednává o provedeném průzkumu efektivity informačních služeb Ministerstva životního prostředí. Je členěna do dvou hlavních celků: indikativní části, popisující metodiku projektu, ověřované hypotézy a závěry, a prezentační části. Ta sestává z kapitol: průzkum využití informačních služeb MŽP/CENIA pro výzkum a vývoj, analýza návštěvnosti www stránek, průzkum mezi celostátně působícími nevládními organizacemi, průzkum mezi komerčně působícími subjekty, průzkum mezi učiteli různých stupňů škol a průzkum mezi veřejnými a odbornými knihovnami.

Payment models for information services

Due to the increasing economical significance of information services the thesis attempts to map possible payments models (revenue streams) and compile relevant selection criteria. First part is therefore dedicated to clarify the very basic terms, such as general and information service, followed by a description of web services as an implementation of their particular subset. This somewhat more technically and technologically oriented chapter covers standards as XML-RPC, SOAP, REST, WSDL and UDDI. Next part's goal is to explore the most important non-functional aspects of information services operation, including QoS and security, guaranteed by outlined SLA contracts. To meet these requirements, additional infrastructure components are needed, such as an identity management, monitoring, metering and accounting. Different pricing strategies, involving differentiation and bundling, are followed by an analysis of possible payment models themselves, divided to both revenue (transactional, subscription, register, licensing, one-time) and non-revenue (provider-supported, advertisement, freemium) based. Covered models are briefly described and their advantages and disadvantages proposed, as well as their infrastructure prerequisites and key metrics. The final chapter compiles relevant selection criteria and uses them to compare the chosen models, so that providers are given a guide when dealing with a service pricing.
