Zavalina, Viktoriia ; Fliegel, Karel (referee) ; Boleček, Libor (advisor)
Master´s thesis deals with methods of objects detection in the image. It contains theoretical, practical and experimental parts. Theoretical part describes image representation, the preprocessing image methods, and methods of detection and identification of objects. The practical part contains a description of the created programs and algorithms which were used in the programs. Application was created in MATLAB. The application offers intuitive graphical user interface and three different methods for the detection and identification of objects in an image. The experimental part contains a test results for an implemented program.
Automated Identification of Graphical UI Elements for Robotic Quality Assurance
Application of neural net in image processing
Nagyová, Lenka ; Svobodová,, Jitka (referee) ; Boleček, Libor (advisor)
This work focuses on the theory of artificial neural networks: the history, individual ways of learning and architecture of networks. It is also necessary to desribe the image processing blocks from scanning and image processing through segmentation to object recognition. The next part is focused on connecting the previous two parts, and therefore on the use of neural networks in image processing, specifically the identification of objects. In the practical part of the work is designed the user application for recognizing characters such as numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters.
Robotic selection of 2D objects from a container
Velen, Bohumil ; Parák, Roman (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
In this thesis, a specific problem of production automation is addressed. Specifically, in this case, it concerns the selection of 2D products from a container by a robot. The thesis briefly presents both the wide range of options that are offered on the market in this regard, and the specific build and programming of a robot that can identify the part, grasp it and manipulate it to get it into the desired position. In this paper, the results of the identification and manipulation of several 2D parts are presented and documented. These experiments have demonstrated the effectiveness of the solution and the practical performance of the machine vision system and the ABB YuMi collaborative robot that was used. This also showed the way to solve similar manipulation tasks in other possible industrial applications.
Heritage conservation of the remains of human activity in the forest
Sklenář, Karel ; Novák, Jakub ; Kadavý, Jan ; Mikita, Tomáš ; Rybníček, Michal ; Bajer, Aleš ; Kučera, Aleš ; Kolář, Tomáš ; Friedl, Michal
The main objectives of the methodology include: 1. setting the issue in the legislative environment; 2. introducing the processes of disturbance of objects in the forest environment; 3. characterization of modern methods of identification of objects in forests; 4. introducing the practical procedure of identification of objects of human activities in forests; 5. proposing procedures for ensuring the preservation and presentation of anthropogenic remains of human activities in forests for state administration and local government. The methodology was developed in cooperation between experts in the humanities and natural sciences. It seeks to apply and combine procedures of different disciplines. The methodology is recommended to be used with methodology Methods and procedures for the protection of anthropogenic objects of historical human economic activity in forests (Kadavý et al. 2022). The two methodologies are complementary to each other.

World of plane and world of space in pre-mathematical literacy
Lorencová, Karolina ; Kaslová, Michaela (advisor) ; Macháčková, Jana (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of distinguishing and denominating of geometric models by children aged five to six years. The aim of the work is to find out to what extent children are currently able to distinguish the world of the plane and the world of space and to what extent these two worlds merge for children. There are three hypotheses. H1: "Children are able to identify at least half of objects from a set of spatial bodies selected from a construction set.", hypothesis H2: "More than a half of children are confused naming planar and spatial objects." and hypothesis H3: "When identifying some of the objects familiar to children, they come up with their own names for them." To verify them, quantitative research was used, which also used audio recording to get data and to be able analyze the observed phenomena. The research confirmed all of those three these hypotheses. Two thousand two hundred data were analyzed. The work on a sample of hundred children shows what the level of object distinction and naming them is currently among preschool children in the Pilsen region. It opens up a number of other areas that need to be further addressed and lots of questions to be answered. These include mixing the world of space and the plane. Identifikace objektů v obraze se zaměřením na aplikace v dopravě
HEJPLÍK, Daniel
This bachelor´s thesis has two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part focuses on research and comparsion of algorithms and principles used for object recognition in digital images. The result is evaluation of their suitability for usage in traffic. Main evaluation criterion is speed of individual methods and reliability of object identification. Practical part focuses on creating specific software tool in Java language, based on object recognition using known algorithms, primarily library OpenCV. The program will include its own graphical interface. Part of result will be documentation for administrators and end users.
