Music and movement education with a focus on dance elements in music education classes at the first stage of primary schools

The thesis deals with the topic of musical movement education when mainly focuses on the use of dance movement elements at music classes at primary stage of elementary school. The thesis aims to summarize whole spectrum of dance movement elements, evaluate their importance for the development of children's musicality and determinate current state of use of dance movement elements at music classes for third to fifth grade of elementary school. Further the thesis evaluates this current state of use of dance movement elements at music classes. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to a progress of musical movement education and dance. It shows potential of use of musical movement education and application of dance movement elements during music classes at primary stage of elementary school. This part also describes a main characteristic of school-aged child and contains a survey of pedagogical literature and literature related to dance education. The practical part of the thesis aims to determinate current state of use of dance movement elements at music classes. The content of the dissertation work is the professional characteristics of a prominent Czech music educator Prof. PhDr. Eva Jenčková, CSc. It introduces the breadth of her scientific, pedagogical and musical organizational activities, and characterizes the main areas of her professional interest. It focuses on music education didactics at all levels of schooling, the enrichment of music repertoire including methodological arrangements, music for children in context of theoretical, interpretative, and music pedagogy aspects. It also outlines the optimal preparation of music education students and further education of music teachers, implemented in our country and abroad in a form of creative music workshops. One of the main subjects of her publications is movement in music education. Based on the content analysis of Eva Jenckova's complex music pedagogy work and the assessments of other education professionals, this publication presents the characteristics of her multi layered personality and her professional mastery. Dance steps combination according to the rules of Rhythmic Gymnastics between two Olympic periods

Title: Comparing the selection of dance steps combination according to the rhythmic gymnastics code of points at the turn of two Olympic cycles. Objectives: The aim of the work is evaluate fulfilment and validation of dance steps combination according to the rhythmic gymnastics code of points at the turn of two Olympic cycles. Methods: We used the observation method, which was done by a detailed analysis of the video recording and subsequent transfer of the record into the professional gymnastic terminology. The second used method was expert assessment according to two selected experts. Results: It was found that the gymnasts in 2017 classify less dance steps combination in routines than in 2016. Their movement due to the larger using of apparatus difficulty does not make music movement unity as it should. It was found that Czech gymnasts classify more dance steps combination in 2017 than international gymnasts. Music and movement education for children with mental disabilities

The Thesis is focused on music and physical education as a part of educational process. It has got an irreplaceable importance in children with mental disorders due to inspiration for their own activity and promotion of the whole motor development. This work is dealing with a content of this education, its importance and role in the Special basic school. It also defines mental handicaped childrens' character and the influence of music and physical education on their general development. It describes a variety of music and physical resources and their usage in the music and movement activities as well. These are applicated into a project called." Dancing and singing, with a fairy tale learning". This elaborated project represents specific examples of music and movement activities and their realization in the Special basic school. The inclusion of the rhythmical forms in physical education at primary school in České Budějovice

The aim of the graduation thesis was finding out the inclusion of dances and rhythmical forms in physical training lessons at primary school level. The research field was pupil´s relation to doing exercise accompanied by music. The resource file was 158 pupils of the second class of primary schools in České Budějovice. The research method was a questionnaire. The results file confirmed the presumption that the inclusion of rhythmical forms in physical education is not frequent, although the rhythmical forms are included in curriculum. The results were different in each school and even in each class. The research proved that only a half of pupils is a member of some physical, sport or dance interst group. This graduation thesis shortly reffered to the use of music accompaniment in education.
