Game Demo in Unity
Kocián, Kryštof ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement a game containing procedurally generated content in Unity. Inside you can find a summary of information about videogames, selected methods of procedural generation and a description of the design and implementation process of the game itself.
Visualization and Simulation in Graphics Scene Using Delta3D
Martanovič, Lukáš ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is to describe the process of creating a visualisation and simulation application using Delta3D. First chapter contains description of library structure, followed by familiarization with basic mechanics and features of the engine in chapter two. Content of third and fourth chapter is an example creation of simple graphics scene and description of development of more advanced application using wider spectrum of features off ered by Delta3D library.
Third Person Roguelike Game in Unity
Moudrý, Daniel ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis comprises information about the creation of a third-person roguelike computer game in Unity game engine. At the beginning the work explains what the game is about, then the work describes the principles of the games functioning and then the implementation in Unity game engine itself in the C# programming language.
Interactive presentation of audiovisual works in virtual reality
Abdulvaliyev, Chamit ; Miklánek, Štěpán (referee) ; Sikora, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on development of a VR application which allows presentation of audiovisual works in a virtual space. This thesis was created in collaboration with Vasulka Kitchen Brno as part of the project Vasulka Live Archive / Interfaces and uses works of Steina and Woody Vasulkas. The application allows playing videos on a virtual canvas, rewinding videos, visualizing predictions generated by a neural network, changing the sorting of the thumbnails and changing the virtual environment. The prediction and sorting data are loaded from JSON files provided by the supervisor of the thesis. The videos are loaded from local storage before being played. Predictions are visualized with generated textures for every tag. The user has access to two environments, outer space and gallery, which was modelled after the exhibition space Vasulka Kitchen Brno. In the outer space environment, the user can move using the joysticks on the controllers, which simulates flight with a jet pack. Video rewinding and changing of the video sorting is controllable using the buttons on the controllers. The game engine Unity was used during the development and the application was tested on the VR headset Oculus Quest 2. The text of this bachelor thesis is divided in two parts. In the first part, the basic VR development context and game engines which can be used are described. These game engines are described: Godot, PlayCanvas and Unity. The second part focuses on the development of the VR application and the results of the bachelor thesis. It details the process of preparing a virtual scene and working with Unity editor. Also it explains the functions of the used scripts and ways of solving the problems met during the development.
Survival Game in Procedurally Generated World
Macháček, Luboš ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
Project is about developing a 3D computer game using procedural generation for game world creation. The development includes a game engine which powers the game. Various experimental approaches and mechanics are used during the development to find out their usability in practice.
Simple Game Engine
Štefáček, Michal ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Starka, Tomáš (advisor)
Použití herního enginu značně urychluje proces vývoje her.
Physical Simulation in 3D Scene Using PhysX
Jašek, Tibor ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on physic simulation utilized by physics engine PhysX. Program is made in XNA Framework. Application consists of network game for two players and presentation of few physical simulations.
Cooperative Game for Two Players in Unity
Červinka, Petr ; Karas, Matej (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create game using Unity game engine. The first part is the game itself, where two players control two characters on one keyboard, whereas they must cooperate and overcome different obstacles. The second part is a game editor, which allows players to create their own levels.
Car Driving Simulator
Michalík, David ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Jirgl, Miroslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis is mainly focused on creating our own car driving simulator and basic data gathering from the driver’s input. To achieve this goal, the thesis includes introduction to man-machine systems and basic information about functions and runtime game engine employs. Research about commonly used open source game engines is also presented with a detailed focus on the engine we chose - Unreal Engine. In conclusion ofthis thesis, a full version of a car driving simulator is created with gathered data analysis.
Firearms and Environment Interaction Game Mechanics
Lamačka, Zbyněk ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the game mechanics of firearms and interaction with the environment. The aim of this thesis is to create a game demo implementing these mechanics in the Unreal Engine 4. The thesis describes the theoretical foundations of firearms as well as the way of solving implementation problems in video game development. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the implementation of game mechanics such as recoil, weapon modification, and different muzzle flash based on weapon configuration.
