Outpatient births as seen by the general public
Fílová, Šárka ; Buryanek, Adam (advisor) ; Lukavec, Vojtěch (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with outpatient birth from the perspective of the general public. Outpatient birth is defined as a birth in the maternity ward after which the woman leaves at her own request sooner than 72 hours after hospitalization. This thesis is conceived as theoretical-practical. The theoretical part provides a complex overview about outpatient birth including its definition, legislation, preparation, phases, the process itself and a discussion about its advantages and disadvantages. The theoretical part also deals with potential complications in the puerperium. The practical part focuses on analyzing data obtained from an anonymous questionnaire which 212 people have completed. The main goal of the questionnaire was to find out the level of awareness and perception of outpatient birth by the general public. The results show that the majority of respondents have basic knowledge about outpatient births, but there still exists a significant number of people who came into contact with this concept for the first time through this questionnaire or they have insufficient information about the subject. Key words Outpatient birth, females, human, birth, gestation

Leszkow, David ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Reckziegelová, Petra (referee)
Title: Differences in Approaches to Prevention and Therapy for Female and Male Football Players with ACL Injuries - A Systematic Review Objective: The main aim of this thesis is to investigate whether there are different approaches to the prevention and treatment of ACL injuries in male and female football players. Methods: The thesis is prepared as a theoretical text in the form of a systematic literature search using PubMed, Web of Science and PEDro databases. The first part of the thesis contains the current status of the studied issue, theoretical background and treatment options for ACL injuries. The second part is descriptive-analytical in nature. It contains an analysis of the studies included in the thesis. Results: After the search, 4 studies met the criteria. Each of them focused on injury prevention, but unfortunately none of them investigated physiotherapy as such. However, the evaluation of the studies shows that both men and women use the same prevention programmes in football, which can reduce the risk of injury by up to 50 %. A limitation of the search is that most of the studies used did not examine the effect of prevention on both sexes simultaneously.

Female Characters in Select Jakub Arbes' Romanettos
Majorová, Eliška ; Stejskalová, Anna (advisor) ; Hník, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor's thesis' content consists of an analysis of three romanettos - Sivooký démon, Zázračná Madona and Akrobati - and in particular a characterisation of their main female characters - Regina, Ismena and Eldora - also with regard to their literary uniqueness. In first two chapters is given a short summary of Arbes' life relevant to his literary work and romaneto as a genre is described. This serves as a basis for analysis of select romanettos and for determining attributes typical for the genre. The female protagonists in chosen romanettos are described in detail with the help of citations. Some techniques used in portrayal of female characters are in Arbes' work identical with the techniques used on male characters (choice of name, education sufficient for scientifically solvable plot), but the majority is unique. All female protagonists are beautiful, mysterious and good, able to bond with people and to give empathy. Despite of originating in poor conditions, they have tremendous power in influencing their surroundings solely with their personality. They are alluring also in their perceived mystery, which engulfs them and which disappears only at the moment of their death. The most interesting thing is their character. Despite being good, modest, grateful, kind, patient and devoted in...
