HORKÁ, Michaela

Vertebrogenic algic syndrome is a pain in different parts of the spine, which is one of the most common reasons for doctor visits. An alarming fact is that up to 80% of adults face these difficulties up and age of patients is constantly decreasing. Most common cause is poor posture, cervical spine injuries, mental health, degenerative changes, tumors and more. Part of this work is devoted to the prevention of vertebral problems. In these modern times, when the use of computers, laptops, tablets, became the ordinary matter, it is necessary to raise awareness of the basic ergonomic principles when using these devices, modifying work and home environment. The theoretical part is supposed to inform about the causes, mechanisms and physiotherapy practice in the treatment of vertebrogenic algic syndrome. It includes basic knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics of the cervical spine and preventive measures concerning the ergonomics of the working environment, sleeping position and appropriate sports activities. For the practical part of the thesis has been used qualitative research method. Qualitative research was done in the form of case studies of three persons. Each was subjected to an input and output kinesiology examination and history-taking in the form of a structured interview. The probands were interviewed regarding home and work ergonomics. The therapy lasted five weeks at the Health centre Medipont in České Budějovice. The task of the practical part was to use physiotherapy techniques to alleviate pain in a particular segments of the cervical spine and report about basic preventive measures. The result is the production of an educational booklet that contains exercises to stretch and release the cervical spine, basic ergonomic positions accompanied by photographs. This brochure will be available at the front desk at the Health centre Medipont in České Budějovice, in waiting rooms of general practitioners in Jemnice as a practical and synoptical helper in the fight against the problems in the cervical spine. This bachelor thesis could increase an awareness among general public about preventive measures and how to prevent pain in the cervical spine. KLUIBEROVÁ, Michaela
This thesis deals with space conditions and working place in a computer lab. It also de-scribes the rules of correct seating of students and their feeling of comfort related to the stay in a computer lab. Theoretical part contents information about ergonomic requirements on the arrangement of working place at the computer. The information concerns table, chair, monitor, key-board and mouse. The requirements on space conditions of a computer lab are intro-duced as well as other factors. For example floor area, height of a room, position of working place and factors such as lighting, windows, noise, microclimatic conditions and ventilation. Working with computer effects our health, for example musculoskeletal problems, visual difficulties and psychical troubles are mentioned. Also the musculoskeletal system, sitting position, posture and examples of compen-sation exercise (concerning static load) are described in this thesis. The final section of the theoretical part is focused on the school stress, its conse-quences and also the school which supports health. The aim of the thesis is to map space conditions and working place in a computer lab in Písek district and to find out students opinions on feeling of comfort while staying in a computer lab and respecting the rules of correct seating. The second part of thesis gathers the results of my research. It concerned students from 6th till 9th classat chosen primary schools in Písek district by the method of ob-serving and the results were compared with the established criteria. Also the anonymous questionnaires were used. The space conditions of computer labs, working places of students and respecting the rules of correct seating were evaluated by observing. The questionnaires were focused on the recognition of students feeling of comfort while staying in a computer lab. Established facts were statistically tested by using chi-square test. The final results of the research show that working places in computer labs at pri-mary schools are suitable for ergonomic requirements. While observing of respecting the rules of correct seating, it was acknowledged, that these rules are not followed, despite the students have adequate conditions for their work. Although in the observed computer labs there were some deficiencies concerning space conditions and other factors, the students feel comfortable while staying in a computer lab. Because static load influences the musculoskeletal system of the students itis neces-sary to apply the factors of precaution at schools, especially as for the rules of correct seating. The students should be familiar with these rules and following the rules should be regularly and consistently controlled by teachers. The deficiencies in computer labs and on the working places are necessary to re-move to create adequate surrounding and conditions for the work of students. Appropri-ately arranged working place is basic requirement for the precaution of musculoskeletal problems and it also enables easier way of how to follow the rules of correct seating. Long-lasting sitting and unsuitable working conditions influence negatively the health of the students and that is significant also for the future. Health problems can be present till adulthood. The students should be aware of the risks and they should be taught to arrange their working place properly before they start working there.

ZEISKOVÁ, Kateřina
The world statistics state that 80% of the population encounter pains in the back. These problems were accelerated by modern times, that thanks, to the technical comfort, brought to many people health troubles resulting from the lack of exercise. I chose the subject {\clqq} Training of the back`` because I work as physiotherapist and the people feeling pains in the back belong to my profession every day. I occupy myself with the given problems. Considering the present state of the given problems, I concentrated on the most important connection concerning the training of the back. First, I described the backbone as a part of the locomotory system. Another guideline that was interconnection of muscular groups of the back, chest, abdomen and of the pelvis, that build the muscular corset. I described locomotory stereotypes and disorders there of in particular relations. Integral part of the present state that is the origin of the pain, its cause, diagnosis and therapy. In the theoretical part I dealt with general principles as to the training of the back and with the importance of this training for the therapy of vertebrogenous patients. The aim of the work and of the research was to discover whether a change in locomotory stereotypes before and after therapy took place at patients with pains in lumbosacral part of the backbone and to propose for three different professions the therapy inclusive of necessary regiment measures. The hypothesis was proclaimed that the therapy including also the training of the back will bring about the change locomotory habits of the patients. Secondary analysis of data from health documentation in combination with directly watching the patents were used as technology of the research. The last form of the research is the questionnaire interviewing of the patients suffering from pains in the lumbosacral part of the backbone. It concerns an integral research with prevailing technologies of quantitative research. The basic check group, that are clients of the physiotherapeutical clinic, who suffer from back pains in the lumbosacral part of the backbone. 100 patients altogether underwent the therapy. They were given the same number of questionnaires. All of them were returned. Theoretical questionnaire investigation was under way from October 2007 to March 2008. I used diagrams in processing the collected data and show the results in percentages. I chose three different professions in the course of therapy, and that secretary, forester and student doing sport and I proposed for them the therapy of back pain, that included also the training of their backs and regimen measures as pain prevention. The proclaimed hypothesis was confirmed in connection with the aim of the work. The research work, I carried out, present analysis of particular locomotory stereotypes. The results showed that locomotory habits had been improved after the therapy in direction to psychology. If the patients observe the stereotypes, they learnt and continue the physiotherapy, I chose, and the part of which is also the training of the back, helped not only the patients themselves, but that it brought benefit for the whole physiotherapeutical clinic. The work will be exploited for organization of seminars on the given place of work.
