Good practices of media literacy and creative work with pople with learning disabilities in the Czech republic and abroad

Bakalářská práce "Divadlo Inventura" se zabývá detailním popisem souboru herců a hereček s mentálním postižením, mapuje jeho vývoj od založení v roce 2009 po současnost a zjišťuje, co je pro herce souboru v divadle důležité. V jednotlivých kapitolách líčí specifický způsob práce s herci s mentálním postižením skrze umělecké terapie, od dramaterapie, přes teatroterapii až po svébytný druh jevištního umění zvaného Outsider Art. Pro svoji práci jsem zvolila kvalitativní formu výzkumu, konkrétně intrinsitní typ případové studie. K jejímu zpracování jsem použila analýzu dokumentů, přímé i nepřímé pozorování a polostrukturované rozhovory s herci souboru. Taring advantages of drama therapy in individuals

The first part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the mental retardation, determination, classification and etiology. It is emphasising importance of the education of the child with light mental disability, which is possible to be used in form of the therapeutic-formative intervention. The second part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the area of drama therapy that describes the therapeutic-formative approach. It refers to possibilities of application of the drama therapeutic techniques and exercises in area of treatment of the children with mild mental disablement. The third part of the bachelor's thesis focuses on the proposal of the drama therapeutic programme, which main contribution is development of the verbal and nonverbal communication abilities. There is a presentation of ten lessons of the drama therapy programme with focus on the prevention of problems in the communication.
Drama therapy with stepfamilies

My bachelor thesis deals with the problem of restored families, where the child lives with biological parent and the step one. There are mentioned situations previous to setting up such families and the problems the family members have to face during their coexistence. Another topic of my thesis is the drama therapy. This kind of expressive therapy works with dramatic procedures that can be applied to a wide range of problems. These procedures could be found in psychotherapy as well as in special pedagogy or other fields. Theoretically, it mentions the modality of work with drama therapy through its techniques and means. The theoretical part containing the exposure of the both topics is followed by the section in which the author tries to apply drama therapy techniques to selected problems in restored families. There are presented specific examples and exercises, and last but not least is pointed out what can be influenced or improved, if applied in the therapeutic process of the restored family.
Dramatherapy for people with mental disabilities

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of dramatherapeutical techniques when working with persons with mental disabilities. The work includes the problematic of mental retardation, and defines dramatherapy and its techniques in its work with persons with mental disabilities. The aim of this work is to present a specific proposal dramaterapeutical program for persons with mental disabilities, which is focused on the emotional experience.
Theatre work of people with mental disability

The subject of my task deals with the work of disabled theatre performers with the aim to analyze and describe the entire process of creation of a theatre performance in an amateur assemble. Furthermore, the benefit of the dramatic production for both personal as well as social development of the disabled performers, derived from the theoretical assumptions, was evaluated. The work at first highlights the features and classification of the metal retardation degree and is trying to inform about very special expressive approaches in both therapeutics and pedagogy. Much attention is paid to the drama-related therapies, such as dramatherapy and especially teatrotherapy which will underline the outcome of the whole creation process - a performance. The dramatic production itself, set within the framework of the expressive abovementioned therapies, is influenced by the way of the dramatic education and, therefore, its fundamental principles and methods of its creation are presented as well. Through the common instruments employed in the quality research, i.e. the observations and interviews with the participants in the drama-creation scheme, the whole process of the performance creation from rehearsal to the premiere is explored.
