Algorithms for computation of the dimensions of state space attractors
Götthans, Tomáš ; Slanina, Martin (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
The geometry of chaotic attractors can be complex and difficult to describe without some mathematical tool. The topic of this contribution is the realization of program for computing the dimensions of state space attractors. We can also find out if the system is highly sensitive to initial conditions. First we need to numerically integrate system of equations, create a data set and finally we can estimate the capacity or Kaplan-Yorke dimension. The main objective of derived program is to analyze and determine chaotic behavior providing a chance to discuss the accuracy of computation engine and theoretical value.

Scope of this master’s thesis contains agile data warehouse design. It begins with a brief demonstration of data warehouse issues, shows the architectures dimensional data warehouse, corporate information factory and data vault. Furthermore, the thesis introduces agile methodologies suitable for data warehouses. Main part of this thesis focuses on the data warehouse design and development in Kentico Software s.r.o. using the modelstorming, shows implementation of universal ETL process for loading dimensional data warehouse, designs ETL processes, data warehouse storage and presentation layer. In the end, the thesis discusses future extensions to the data warehouse such as knowledge discovery module or large-scale data expansion.
Plumbing Systems Modernization for Sport Centre Buildings
Kohutek, Ivo ; Vrána, Jakub (referee) ; Bárta, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the reconstruction of sanitary installations in the multi-purpose sports facility STARS in Třinec. It is a large complex with an administration building. The theoretical part is focused on heating and distribution of hot water. It considers multiple solutions to the problem. The practical part then deals in depth with one of the discussed options in a selected few buildings.
Analysis of chaotic behavior in double pendulum
Brázda, Tomáš ; Lošák, Petr (referee) ; Sosna, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the presentation of basic knowledge regarding chaos theory. There are mentioned several basic methods of dimension calculation as well as the overall use of this theory in various scientific disciplines. The main part is devoted to the complete analysis of a double pendulum. To initiate into the issue, this situation was outlined on a simple mathematical basis pendulum. There is derived a numeral system of two differential equations of second order to work with the double pendulum. Thanks to computer program Matlab there was created a fractal that represents chaotic behavior of the double pendulum. Knowledge acquired from dimension calculation was used here to classify the fractal and to work out its dimension. In addition there was analyzed impact of parameters of behavior in system. This overall chaotic behavior has been verified by the largest Lyapunov exponent and the 0–1 test, which identified areas, where this system behaves chaotically and where it is stable.
Vývoj potravinové bezpečnosti ve vybraných zemích jihovýchodní Afriky
Hendrychová, Marcela
The diploma thesis deals with monitoring the development of food security in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia. The specific criteria for the selection of three states were the HDI indicator and the geographical location of the selected states. Through individual indicators from different pillars of food security, the work evaluates the most significant factors that cause food insecurity in the monitored countries. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the basic facts and the background of the problem, contains an explanation of key terms and terms, and defines individual causes and consequences of food security at the level of selected countries. The work also describes the most used indicators measuring food safety. The practical part based on the development of monitored indicators (average protein intake; average protein intake of animal origin; prevalence of moderate or severe food insecurity; prevalence of severe food shortage; percentage of the population using basic hygiene services; percentage of the population with access to drinking water; percentage of children under 5 years, suffering from stunting; prevalence of anemia in women of reproductive age; variability of food production per person; political stability and absence of violence/terrorism) in the period 2009-2019 examines the factors that influenced changes in these indicators. In the work, it was found that the most important factors influencing the development of food security in the observed states of Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe are climatic conditions, political and economic situation, low education of the population and infectious diseases. These factors slow down the economic growth of countries and prevent growth from developing to developed countries and result in food insecurity and consequences.
Design of erosion control and flood protection measures in the plan of joint facilities in the cadastral area of Tučapy near Vyškov
Pavliš, Jaroslav ; Larišová, Lucie (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis was to develop an analytical proposal for erosion control and flood protection measures in the plan of common facilities in the Tučapy district near Vyškov. Erosion protection was analyzed for EEA areas based on 4 variants including the current state without or with measures and climate change without or with measures. Agrotechnical and organizational measures, which includes contour cultivation with crop residues, or only crop residues, was considered as an soil erosion control application. The design and dimensions of stabilized paths of concentrated runoff also fell under the 4 variants of soil erosion protection measures. During the analysis, 4 critical profiles were identified, for which critical runoff were calculated for different Qn. This analysis of critical profiles also fell under the already mentioned 4 variants. This work was also supplemented by a direct design of flood protection with technical and organizational aspects, which were drainage ditches and strip crop rotation. The design of the jamming joints was based on 2 variants including the existing condition without conservation or with a coservation measures. The ArcGIS program was used to calculate erosion results and present analytical maps. The DesQ program was used to obtain the necessary volumes, flow rates and their graphs. Dimensioning of stabilized valleys and drainage basins was carried out using the Dimenzov program. The results of this work are intended to show the effectiveness and positive effects of anti-erosion and anti-flood measures.
Singular points of algebraic varieties
Vančura, Jiří ; Příhoda, Pavel (advisor) ; Šťovíček, Jan (referee)
This thesis is an introduction to exploring singularities of algebraic varieties. In the first chapter, we state basic definitions and theorems necessary for exploring singularities. Firstly, we define algebraic varieties and their corresponding ideals and explain the term of Krull dimension. We also focus on the local properties of varieties. In the second chapter, we begin by examining the term of singularity in detail and introducing methods for searching for singularities. We prove two theorems about the shape and the dimension of singularities. In the second part, we prove theorems about the zero divisors, which enable us to define Cohen-Macaulay and Gorenstein rings. We use them to roughly classify singularities of algebraic varieties.
Gravitation in higher dimensions
Kubíček, Jan ; Pravdová, Alena (advisor) ; Žofka, Martin (referee)
The thesis starts with a brief introduction to the algebraic classificati- on of tensors and spacetimes in higher dimensions. Attempts to generalize the Goldberg-Sachs theorem are also discussed. There is a summary of main results for optical matrices of algebraically special spacetimes in higher dimensions. The optical matrix for a type III spacetime in six dimensions is found using Bianchi identities. A few properties of type III optical matrices in a general dimension are also found. Various properties of equations obtained from Bianchi identities for type III spacetimes are studied in appendices. 1
Projective geometry codes
Požárková, Zuzana ; Drápal, Aleš (advisor) ; Holub, Štěpán (referee)
In the presented work we define a class of error-correcting codes based on incidence vectors of projective geometries, including the necessary basis of coding theory and projective geometries. A detailed calculation is performed to show the dimension of these codes. In conclusion we concern ourselves with majority decoding. This work is a summary of the results of some known authors engaged in this field. We continue on some of these results and we present evidence of some of the statements, which have been proven differently by other authors.
