Strategic communication of Crossfit: fulfilling the brand discourse through the eyes of Czech Crossfit athletes

The thesis "Strategic communication of Crossfit: fulfilling the brand discourse through the eyes of Czech Crossfit athletes" deals with a qualitative analysis of brand perception by individuals participating in CrossFit. From a theoretical point of view, it covers the explanation of the concept of brand and also looks at the models that are used in brand making and branding. It also focuses on brand communities, their specificities and their contribution to brands. CrossFit, the history of branding and other essentials that CrossFit presents are then specified in detail. This includes the gym environment and specific training regimen. The available analyses of the brand's communication are also outlined. Part of the theoretical background includes an overview of the CrossFit community from previous analyses. Through semi-structured interviews on brand communication, competitive advantages and differences from other sports and the CrossFit community being an integral part of the brand, the dimensions of branding used were unravelled. Through individuals' experiences with the brand, the thesis aims to identify the factors that contribute to the success of the brand in the sporting area, as well as how the brand impacts the individuals themselves. The use of outdoor environtment in crossfit training

Title: The use of outdoor environtment in crossfit training Objectives: The main objective of the thesis is to find out whether CrossFit practitioners include sports that can be performed outdoors in their training or competition preparation. Methods: In my bachelor thesis I used quantitative research. The quantitative research was primarily focused on determining the extent to which outdoor sports were used and integrated into Crossfit training in a broad sample of exercisers, whether they were competitors or "recreational" enthusiasts. A total of 126 respondents completed the questionnaire. Results: A total of 126 respondents completed the survey. The survey showed a 67 % success rate associated with outdoor sporting activities. This type of activity is practiced several times a week by 46.6 % of respondents. Athletics was the most frequently chosen activity, receiving 56.7 % of the vote. 80.6 % of respondents who participate in outdoor activities plan to continue doing so. Among the 33 % of respondents who do not currently participate in outdoor sports, they most often do not have the time or are not interested in these activities. Bachelor thesis provides an analysis crossfitt race Fit Monster. In my work I show an organization of this event for about 250 people. The work is divided into four parts, the first theory, which I refer to management and business plan, the second deals with the preparation of the event, the SWOT analysis and marketing mix. In the third part to a real budget and the fourth part will contain an evaluation including recommendations for improvement.

TITLE Crossfit as a fitness training for ice hockey players AUTHOR Ondřej Jobek DEPARTMENT Department of physical education SUPERVISOR PaedDr. Ladislav Pokorný ABSTRACT This work deals with a relatively new sport, which is called crossfit. Specifically, how to combine crossfit with fitness training in ice hockey. The first part of this work contains an overview of the necessary theoretical background. From the basic information concerning the fitness training of ice hockey players to the introduction of the current fitness phenomenon, which is called crossfit. The second part is a separate research. The research includes testing players according to Czech hockey fitness tests at the beginning of the training period without the use of crossfit exercises and at the end of the period, after the use of specific exercises. The results I obtained are then compared with the results from 2019. The result of this work was to determine whether it is appropriate to include crossfit in the pre-season training of ice hockey players. Influence of placebo effect on sports performance

Introduction: Placebo has long been a well-known concept and the placebo effect phenomenon has been studied in a number of medical fields. In addition to its effect on pain, depression and other illnesses, other attempts are increasingly being made to find a possible use of the placebo effect. The aim of the thesis was to determine whether the administration of placebo has an effect on sports performance. Methodology: The research was conducted in two phases. The first phase was the measurement of three runs of amateur crossfit athletes at a distance of 800 m. After the run, time and subjective evaluation of the perceived effort Borg scale were writen down. In the first run placebo was administered, in the second run a commercially available preworkout supplement(L-carnitine) was administered and the third run was a control run without a tablet. The measurement results were statistically processed using Student's two-sample unpaired t-test to the mean value. The second part consisted of filling in questionnaires and then processing the resulting data. Results: After evaluating the research part, we found that in our research, placebo had no effect on athletic performance. Women in strength sports.

The bachelor thesis "Women in strength sports" deals with a qualitative analysis of self- concept of women participating in strength sports, weightlifting and CrossFit. Using semi- structured interviews and based on the accounts of these women's experiences, a self-image of women in strength sports was created. The aim was to explore the experiences of women in strength sports and how they perceive themselves. Through their personal experiences, the thesis seeks to identify factors that may influence their perceptions. The analysis also focuses on the normative perceptions of women in strength sports. Attention is also given to media representation and equality in strength sports competitions.
CrossFit and its effect on the level of general physical fitness

This dissertation introduces CrossFit as one of the new directions in fitness and is based on information which is commonly available. The main, research segment of the dissertation focuses on the level of kinetic abilities and the effect on general physical fitness from regular exercise by following the CrossFit program. The research was conducted on students who were following a fitness program while the writer was studying at Gerlev sport academy in Denmark.

The thesis focuses on the clarification and description of the individual exercise elements which most typically occur within the practice. The practical part of the thesis deals with the degree of the component motor abilities in the CrossFit athletes.
