Determination of CAN operating limit conditions with respect to cabling and its topology
Mihulka, Martin ; Kufa, Jan (referee) ; Poměnková, Jitka (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with determining the operational limit conditions, designing, and theoretically describing CAN bus models for various types of cabling and verifying the limit condition through measurements. The aim was to establish the operational limit conditions for error-free data transmission. Furthermore, the objective was to design bus models, specify important parameters for different types of cabling, and verify the limit conditions thorough measurements. The thesis defines the limit conditions and proposes individual bus models according to the requirements, and for these designs, the important parameters for the error-free operation of the bus are measured.
CANopen drive PLC control
Hámor, Martin ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Ctibor, Jiří (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor’s thesis was to create an electric drive controlled by a PLC using the CANopen protocol. Three methods of message transmission were tested using Schneider Electric Machine Expert Logic Builder software, designed for PLC programming, and PCAN-View, which monitored incoming and outcoming messages in real time. Control methods are detailed in chapter 6, one of these methods was successful.
Multiple output power supply for LED modules of automotive rearlight
Feilhauer, Jaromír ; Tomíček, Pavel (referee) ; Junasová, Veronika (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to design multiple output power supply of LED modules of automotive rear light. The thesis deals with introduction to design of automotive device and theory of switching regulators. Furthermore, the work focuses on input-output circuits, phenomena on the vehicle's power and data buses, and an introduction to the automotive software architecture standard. The thesis continues with a description of each device block according to the specified and selected parameters, the design of the device software and the measurement of the basic parameters of individual parts of the device with connected load modules.
Matlab Simulink Code Generation Support For Lin Communication
Kozovský, Matúš
The microcontroller units often use communication buses to interface with sensors or actuators. The communication bus must be selected with respect to communication speed, reliability and also overall solution price. Transmitted data needs to be organised according predefined structures in case of using any communication. Combination of rapid prototyping tools for automatic code generation and communication busses can be problematic for this reason. This paper deals with possibility to use MATLAB/Simulink code generation for communication interfaces. Local Interconnect Network (LIN) interface was used for testing. Same principles can be used also for Controller Area Network (CAN) interface. Presented method can simplify using of communication buses in Simulink.
Microprocesor based security system
Machek, Ondřej ; Chomát, Luděk (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis resolves a problem of securing buildings through the electrical security system. The work concerns a proposal of a securing device and a proposal of a corresponding software. MACHEK, O. Microprocessor driven secure device. Brno: Brno University of technology, The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and communication , 2009. Supervisor of Bachelor’s thesis Ing. Tomáš Macho, Ph.D.
Modbus TCP interface
Krotký, Pavel ; Bohrn, Marek (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
Main puropose of this thesis is to design and develop Ethernet to serial interface converter. Ethernet and serial line protocols are briefly described. Appropriate microprocessor and hardware for realisation of each physical layars were choosen. Convertor uses Texas Instrument's TI-RTOS operating system. Convertor's purpose is to pass on communication between physical layers and also fulfill webserver role with configuration possibilities.
Control Design of Intelligent Integrated closed loop Actuator by force of CAN
Škranc, Martin ; Čejka, Luboš (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with automatization technology by B&R Automation Company. CANopen protocol is used for communication and control design of actuator part of omni-directional mobile robot. The control algorithms are implemented for compact PLC automata X20 series. The PLC X20 communicates with PC by means of Ethernet TCP/IP protocol. There are four motion control patterns implemented. The robot uses three IclA D065 actuators. This research has been supported by the Czech Ministry of Education in the frame of MSM 0021630529 Research Intention Inteligent Systems in Automation.
ARM Remote debugging over industrial bus.
Skalický, Jakub ; Jílek, Tomáš (referee) ; Burian, František (advisor)
This semestral thesis is concerned on facilities of using DebugMonitor exception for debugging software which run on ARM Cortex-M4. The comunnication between debugged software and debugging master is implemented via CAN bus. The result is support for debugging without special debugging equipment. For support of this type of debug this thesis implemented code library called SDebug. It's managing parts of Cortex-M4 core, which are userd for debug.
Smart lock device using CAN according to the AUTOSAR
Musil, Tomáš ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a creation of lock based on RTOS system according AUTOSAR standard. In the first part of thesis is the acquaintance itself with the standard. After that thesis is concerned with the choice of suitable RTOS and with this linked MCU. In the next point is described the method of creation of individual parts from which is an application created. The last points of the work concern the description of the application itself, functionality and methods of testing.
Data logger
Dráb, Dominik ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Ctibor, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design of universal data logging device. The work proposes the design of device architecture and describes individual systems and components, that are necessary for data logging. Logger is designed as a mobile device, with ARM microcontroller at its core. Thesis specifies requirements for device in terms of performance and versatility. The device uses modular construction, as it comprises multiple PCBs. The thesis describes their design and also design of the mechanical construction of data logger. Designed device has been realized and assembled. Software design for microcontroller is also part of the thesis. In the last part, measurements to determine achieved parameters of the device are conducted.
