The Specifics of Individual Planning of Social Services with People with Dementia

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities and limitations of the planning care and support to people with dementia. Diseases that lead to the dementia syndrome causing difficulties in almost all areas of life of the person who suffering from the syndrome. A person with dementia then requires specific approaches by others. The aim of this thesis is to identify the specifics of individual planning of social services with people with dementia and find out how is the individual planning with these persons done in selected homes with the special regime in the Capital City Prague and Central Bohemia.The first part provides an overview of current knowledge in the field of related topics. The second part contains the research which was carried in selected nine special regime homes in the Prague and Central Bohemia. In the research were used methods of semi- structured interviews and analysis of documents. In the research was found that the planning with people with dementia is in some aspects different from the planning with people without cognitive impairment. In this planning are more used methods that allow to establish contact with the client and identify and transmit information among employees. The topic of the thesis is the library of Josef Svátek (1835 - 1897) who was not only author of historical fiction but also editor and historician. The thesis is based on Svatek's coresspondence, period magazines and his own library. The thesis is focused on Svatek as editor and historician and the attention is paid to not yet published fact about Svatek's life. Svatek's library is the subject of analysis which allows us to see how the library itself was effected by Svatek's interests, hobbies and duties. The Political Career of the Duke of Wellington after 1815

The main purpose of this thesis is to present the biography of Arthur Wellesley, the first duke of Wellington (1769-1852) with the connection to his political career in the top political offices primarily in the years 1815-1832. With the respect to the way how Wellington concerned to his political negotiations, this thesis also try to look at the duke's childhood and adolescence. Based on the chronological order the large area of the thesis especially attends to the British facts, which comes close to us through the Wellington's political activity. This work deals with the key political issues incidental to the duke's career, e.g. Bill of Pains and Penalties, Catholic Emancipation, or Parliamentary Reform. We can come to the conclusion that his key political attitudes which had a great impact on his decisions were "the service to the state and the King", "non-party feeling in political debates", and "the demand of a discipline", not only for himself, but for his colleagues and subordinates too. The thesis consists of theoretical part, which is concerned with the artist`s biography and the definition of term "comics" and its concise history and practical part which contains analysis of selected works of art from the point of view of progress in style and models in Kája Saudek`s paintings. Practical part is comprised of analysis of four works, which are considered to be artist`s magnum opuses. These works are paintings for films Kdo chce zabít Jessii?, Čtyři vraždy stačí, drahoušku, and comics Muriel a andělé and Muriel a oranžová smrt. This bachelor thesis tries to study the progress of line and style in artist`s works and find out connections between his artworks and biography. The Bachelor thesis is dealing with description of online business, concretely of the Content creators business model. The description is based on a community of online businessmen. The crucial part of the thesis is dedicated to an analysis of observations and interviews with members of the community. The goal of the paper is to reveal the functioning of the community of online businessmen within The Content creators business model in a constantly growing online world about which there is still not enough comprehensive information. The paper provides an analysis of relations in community, accepting of new members, interactions, competition and women position in the online business world etc. The goal is to find out about the success influencing factors. In addition, the paper is trying to define patterns in behavior which may lead to earlier success. The analysis showed that in the community may exist an artificial identity based on requirements for a so called good businessman which majority of the community is trying to embody. The aim of this work is introduction of ethics and cosmology found in the works of Miyazawa Kenji and their current interpretation by Japanese scholars through interpretation of novel Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru ( 銀 河 鉄 道 の 夜 ). Since the author's biography, especially his religious life (especially the thoughts contained in the Lotus Sutra and the author's view of Christianity), is an essential stepping stone for understanding of his work, the work focuses on these topics as well.
Emigration motif in Pnin and other novels by Vladimír Nabokov

This bachelor's thesis explores the theme of emigration in Vladimir Nabokov's fiction, primarily through the analysis of one of his English-written novels Pnin. Many works by Nabokov display autobiographical features, which is why a large part of this work provides Nabokov's biography with an emphasis on its possible influence on his career. In the theoretical part of the thesis the biography of Vladimir Nabokov and the typical features of his work are introduced with a preceding short overview of the term emigration and the characterization of the first Russian wave of emigration. The practical part of the thesis provides a deeper analysis of the novel Pnin through the prism of emigration motif and its sub-themes which are realized in Nabokov's work. The last part of the thesis is a brief conclusion about how Nabokov created an image of the Russian emigrant.
Social aspects of the forced community in Terezin

This study deals with aspects of the everyday social reality of the forced community in the Terezin ghetto in 1941-1945. It is a microsociological introspection of the life of the prisoners that lived in the ghetto. It aims to define social factors that influenced the lives of people that were stigmatized, fought for their lives and lived in border-line situations. The research part of the study uses biographical method. It uses 10 recorded testimonials of survivors - former Terezin prisoners. The research was carried out by means of partly structured interviews. The questions dealt with internal and external factors that created the daily reality of this forced community. The aim was to map their subjective perception of life conditions, social ties, both negative and positive factors and further personal utterances of the narrators. The testimonies serve for better and deeper understanding of the Terezin reality. The factors that affected the community in a negative way included fear of the unknown, fear of loosing close friends and relatives, very bad life conditions that strongly affected the negative mind-set of people and loss of moral values. In contrast, the positive factors included culture and sports that were welcomed by the prisoners as they allowed them to shift aside gloomy thoughts....
