The Proposal Strategy of the Air Carrier's Expansion into the Dutch Market

The main goal of the diploma thesis is to develop a proposal for the expansion of the air carrier to the new Dutch market based on an analysis of the current state and analysis of the selected market with regard to the limitations and specific characteristics of the aviation industry. The theoretical part is focused on the theoretical background obtained from the publications focused on market analysis, expansion and also on publications focused on the aviation industry. The practical part focuses on the company Smartwings a. s., its analysis of the current state and also the analysis of the selected market. The last part is focused on the elaboration of the expansion proposal and the calculation of the costs associated with the expansion, the evaluation of the risks and the mitigation of their impact on society.

The position of Emirates Airline in the aviation industry and its customer service

In this thesis I focus on Emirates Airlines, in particular by identifying key factors that led to the acquisition of the current position in the global aviation market. Till the foundation of Emirates Airlines the aviation industry in this region practically did not exist, and therefore it was not too interesting market in general. Using the research of case study at the thesis, I first examined how and why the airline was founded and subsequently described the uniqueness of this particular case. Partial aims are to answer the research questions and confirm or refute the initial hypothesis. In conclusion, I summarized all the key factors and assess their uniqueness and potential limitations when applied to similar cases in the aviation sector.
Effect of Expansion of Modern Information Technologies on the Aviation Industry

This diploma thesis is focused on modern information technologies and its direct effect on the aviation industry. Comparing the state of the industry without technologies and nowadays; describing changes in consumer behaviour as well as in the matter of providing services by companies; pointing out that these changes were caused mainly by growing number of Internet and mobile technologies users all over the world. The last chapter is dedicated to projection of future trends regarding aforementioned area.
The current role of GDS in the distribution market of tourist services

Aviation industry is in many ways considered a pioneer, especially in innovation and implementation of new materials and technologies. The aim of this thesis is to provide comprehensive and complex information on the matter, pointing out the differences in distribution systems and scenarios outlining the expected evolution of these systems in the future. The dissertation defines the basic concepts and the nature of the problem and also talks about the historical development of the GDS to better understand the current ownership and evaluate the importance and status of GDS in the Czech and world market. It analyzes selected GDS and graphically illustrates the positions of the GDS on the certain markets within the category. The basic method used is the comparison which was done by putting the specifics of individual GDS and their subsequent comparison, the thesis also includes SWOT analysis.
CRM in Airlines Industry

As a subject of this Masters thesis, I have chosed Customer Relationship Managemement in the aerospace industry, thus the aplication of set of tools supporting marketing, sales and customer service. The work is a gradual description of current trands and changes in the aviation industry with aim to follow moments of truth and the processes that take place at customer level Business to Cusotmer (B2C) and at industrial level Business to Business (B2B). While the B2C sector is represented by relatioship of air cariers and passengers, the B2B sector follows the relationship of air carriers and airports. The work is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part consists of a destription of the CRM and aviation industry. It is based on the knowledge that the customer relationship strategy is a long-term and effecite partnership based on understanding of specific customer wishes and needs, which is supported by IT technologies and propper alignment of business processes. The practical part was written in order to apply CRM approaches to right customers (using an appropriate market segmentation) at right place (by creating positive moments of truth) and through right processes.
The bearing of the latest recession on the trends in the aviation industry in the Czech republic

This thesis aims at an assessment of the bearing of the latest recession on the trends and developments in the aviation industry in the Czech republic. The first part presents an outline of the situation of aviation industry during the economic recession and succintly characterises the current state of the aviation industry in the Czech republic. The second part focuses on the developments in aviation industry in the Czech republic in course of the economic recession and analyzes its effect on particular trends in the aviation industry. Concluding chapter evaluates the current situation in the industry based on analysis of the supporting data.
