The usage of toys in preschool age and the first grade

This bachelor's thesis focuses on research on the offer and availability of toys in kindergarten and after-school clubs and their comparison. This research hopes to discover which specific types of toys are the favourite of this particular age group and if it's possible to help children manage the transition from kindergarten to primary school via toys. The theoretical part focuses on toys and games in the context of development and education, including the role of toys and games and the impact of the environment on the adaptation of children and toys through the lens of pedagogy. The research part includes conclusions made from the interviews. It examines games and toys preferred by children, social interactions during games, the influence of space and environment, usage of games in practical pedagogy and the importance of toys in adaptation to the new learning environment. Obtained information can be convenient for educators and parents trying to support the children during this important milestone in their lives.
Mental health of educators in the after school club

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of mental health of female educators working in after school clubs. The aim of this thesis is to find out how educators take care of their mental health, what helps them, how they deal with stress and whether they have personal experience with burnout syndrome. The work is structured into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I focus on the basic characteristics of after school club and the profession of an educator. Then I examine in more detail the area of mental health and mental hygiene. I also deal with stress and burnout syndrome. The practical part of the thesis presents the results of qualitative research, which was conducted using semi-structured interviews. The grounded theory method was used for data analysis. In the conclusion of the thesis, the main results obtained from the qualitative investigation are presented and summarized.
Innovations in the management of non-formal education

This final thesis deals with innovations in the management of informal education. The main goal of this work is to determine the extent to which the executives of leisure education organizations recognize the need for innovations in different areas of the organization, to compare the extent and content of specific innovations in selected organizations and explore in which areas and based on which stimuli the innovations in these organizations arise. The obtained information is useful for efficient preparation of further training of organization executives and described examples of good practice as an inspiration to improve the performance of leisure and informal education organizations. The theoretical part incorporates leisure and informal education into the overall education system of the Czech Republic and its development is illustrated on the laws and decrees from 1948 to present. Research in the form of structured interview reveals the respondents view on innovations in leisure education and shows the respondents experience with the introduction of innovations in their own organizations. The conclusions of this research clearly show the need for innovation in informal and leisure education for the competitiveness of individual organizations. Using fairy tales during free time activities in after school club

This Bachelor's work deals with the utilization of the literary genre of fairytales, in free time activities in the after school club. In the theoretical cast, the basic concepts are stated: fairy tale, children's literature, reader literacy, characteristics of the young school age, free time activities in the after school club. In the practical part, there is a description of a project tested in practise in a section of the after school club. The aim of this work was not only to awaken the interest of the pupil in reading, but even to show, that fairy tales develop the personality of children, imagination and can help us during solving educational problems.
School clubs from the perspective of parents and children

This bachelor thesis deals with parents' und children's perceptions, opinions and expectations regarding the after school club centre of General František Fajtl DFC Grammar School and Kindergarten in the district of Prague-Letňany. The explorative part of the thesis entails a survey via questionnaires on parents' expectations and opinions how the school youth centre works. Attending children's perceptions of strengths and weaknesses of the youth centre are included as well. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses normative goals, mission, function and staff conditions of school youth centres in general and the above mentioned centre in particular. The question of mutual cooperation between parents and staff in charge is also discussed. The conclusion synthesises the main findings of both of these parts - that is, the expectations of the parents and children are compared with the theoretical groundwork and supplemented with feasible options of its implementation.
