Enhancing EFL Students' Vocabulary Retention through the Application of Brain- Compatible Teaching Strategies
Hartinger, Daria ; Mikuláš, Martin (advisor) ; Kacafírková, Petra (referee)
This thesis is aimed at researching effective teaching strategies that enhance vocabulary learning among English language students aged 13 to 16 years old, with a particular focus on vocabulary related to electricians' and mechanics' tools. Teaching this kind of vocabulary is a challenge that demands innovative teaching strategies that take into consideration the specific functioning of the adolescent brain. The study is based on a review of modern learning theories and teaching methods, as well as on the implementation of practical lessons using different vocabulary strategies. The theoretical part of the study explores the concept of Brain-based teaching and reviews previous studies that have been conducted successfully in this area. The work showed that strategies such as Frayer Model, Semantic Mapping and Chunking have a considerable positive effect on the process of vocabulary acquisition. These strategies were then employed successfully in a teaching process carried out with four different groups of students. The empirical part shows various statistics that are based on the results of a vocabulary assessment pre-test and two types of post-test, immediate and delayed. These data illustrate the effectiveness of the treatment used. Although statistically insignificant in some cases, the results...
Tools for creating interactive videos
Hornek, Miroslav ; Jeřábek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Novák, Jaroslav (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the significance of interactive video creation in the digital era, where visual content plays a crucial role in communication and interaction. In the context of constantly evolving technologies, the creation of interactive videos gains importance not only in education, marketing, and entertainment but also in various other human activities. The aim of this thesis is to explore and analyse various aspects of tools for interactive video creation, from the historical development of video to the current state and prospects. It encompasses a comprehensive view of the multimedia environment and its relationship with interactive video, including digital content forms that contribute to its dynamism and effectiveness. Furthermore, the thesis examines the utilization of interactive videos in education and their role in increasing engagement and teaching effectiveness. It analyses standards for interactive video creation and various interactive elements that can enhance user experience. A key part of this thesis is a detailed analysis of current development environments for interactive video creation and their application in education. The thesis provides an overview of tools for interactive video creation with an emphasis on their use in education and training, contributing...
Design of production technology of an aluminum alloy flange
Vrbka, Tomáš ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis aims to create a technological procedure for producing a flange, including subsequent instructions and select suitable tools, gauges, and machine parameters necessary for its production. One piece of flange was produced. The material of the flange is aluminium alloy EN AW-2017A. The flange is part of the diesel pump and has the priority function of sealing and guiding the pump camshaft. The flange was produced on a one machine DMG Mori CLX 450 universal CNC lathe on one clamping. To verify the functionality of the design, a 3D model of the flange was first created and printed. A technological procedure for producing the component was made, and a CNC program was created for the machine. Subsequently, the actual production of the part was carried out. For production, a rod with a diameter of 80 mm was used and fed to a length of 40 mm. Turning technology was used for machine the face, grooves, outer and inner contours. Milling was used for the recesses for the bolts and drilling was used for the holes. Iscar tools were selected for turning, and Hoffmann Group tools were chosen for milling and drilling. After production, the important dimensions were measured by using Mitutoyo and Bowers gauges and a Mahr roughness gauge.
Tools for Wi-Fi and IPv4 penetration testing
Jančík, David ; Lieskovan, Tomáš (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the design and implementation of support tools and methodologies for security penetration testing of Wi-Fi networks and IPv4 network infrastructure. The theoretical part covers penetration testing itself, approaches, phases, and types. It also describes the development of Wi-Fi networks and their security protocols. Various penetration tools for Wi-Fi networks and types of attacks are introduced. In the last theoretical part, a basic overview of IPv4 and tools for IPv4 scanning is provided. Initially, in the practical part, a proprietary methodology for Wi-Fi networks and IPv4 and tools for penetration testing are proposed. The Python programming language is defined, along with the output of various tools for the Penterep platform. A review of tools from the theoretical part is conducted to select suitable tools for new support tools. The implementation of penetration tools is based on the design diagram created. The conclusion summarizes the results achieved and suggestions for further expansion of tools for Wi-Fi and IPv4. The result of this thesis is the implementation of support tools and the design diagram for Wi-Fi networks and IPv4.
Turning machines and tools, production of a sample part
Šaroun, Martin ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Kupčák, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis provides an overview of turning technology in the research part. It describes the basic terms and terms, deals with the division of lathes and turning knives. The practical part of the work is focused on the technological processing of the specified part, which is the assembly mandrel used for precise gluing. The technological process was developed and in cooperation with the company, the production of its own component took place. In the last phase, the final inspection of products and evaluation took place.
Tools for Environment for the Simulation of Communication
Mikuš, Peter ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
Communication between devices should be based on predefined rules. These rules are called communication protocols. In this master thesis I am concerned with communication protocols, specially security protocols. Their design demand specialized tools, that will provide interactive simulations and security testing. I have described each of these tools in detail and mentioned about their properties, their pros and cons. In available tools I have implemented security protocols. The result is set of demonstration tasks that are usable in network courses at FIT VUT

Description of the machine with a closer analysis of a structural node, in which is situated the produced part. Design, calculation and the choice of blanks for the two variants of the production. The choice of machines for piece and series production, the choice of instruments and gauges for mass production. Developing manufacturing processes with the choice of times in the piece production and the calculation for mass production. Technoeconomic assessment of the costs of semi-finished products and variants of production.
