Scholz-Wende by the perspective of CDU

The thesis examines the transformation of German foreign and security policy after the Russian invasion of Ukraine specifically during the period from February 2022 until June 2023 and the perspective of the oppositional CDU party during this time. The introductory part presents the historical context of the development of German foreign and security policy, the institutional framework for its formation, and the character of German in foreign policy culture. The theoretical framework presents three concepts for interpreting Germany as an actor in international relations: civil power, geo-economic power, and divided power. In the practical part, the fulfillment of the goals of Chancellor Olaf Scholz is being examined. Namely in the supply of weapons to Ukraine, in the anti-Russian sanctions, in the deepening of Germany's involvement in NATO missions, in the reformation and modernization of the Bundeswehr, and in the new quality of German diplomacy. The results of the research showed Germany's willingness to abandon some of its previous taboos, to bear the economic costs of its policy towards Russia and even at the cost of debt, to invest more in its own armed forces and in supporting Ukraine. The comparison of Czech and German family policy enabling the harmonization of work and family life

The subject of this thesis is the comparison of family policy in the Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany in terms of measures adjustment enabling the reconciliation of work and care about the preschool children. The issue of work-life balance is further presented in the context of traditional sociological concepts and welfare state model theories, followed by a description of trends and current order of women's employment on the labor market of both countries and accompanied by the description of demographic trends. Thesis is specifically focused on the description of the governmental family policy of both countries in the perspective of parental leave entitlement settings, facilities of children day care facilities like nursery schools and creche, and formal involvement of fathers in the childcare. The methodological part of thesis is focused on the description of the family policy measures of the respective country. Comparison of both countries in terms of enabling the reconciliation of work and childcare is made on the basis of analyse and comparison of both the secondary quantitative data and the qualitative data drawn from the discussions placed on the free available web sites. Energy policy of the Federal republic of Germany towards the Russian Federation during the Angela Merkel era

This thesis focuses on German energy policy towards the Russian federation during Angela Merkel's leadership as Chancellor of Germany (2005-2021). The primary focus is the import of Russian natural gas to Germany and related projects such as Nord Stream and Nord Stream II. The aim of this thesis is to answer the research question of whether the energy interests of the Federal Republic of Germany have led to an increase in its dependence on the Russian Federation. The thesis analyses the German approach towards both their own energy policy and the policy of the Russian Federation and aims to contextualise this with data connected with Russian gas exports to Germany. The analysis shows that the Federal Republic of Germany ran its energy policy towards the Russian Federation independently of Russian policy actions and the wider criticism received from various German partners. The conclusion of the thesis is that the energy policy of the Federal Republic of Germany conclusively led to an increase in its dependence on the Russian Federation.
History and present of the legislative process in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of the legislature as an integral part of any rule of law. Specifically, the thesis focuses on the creation of primary (statutory) regulations and secondary (sub-statutory) regulations in a comparative perspective of the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. The historical context of lawmaking during the existence of a pluralistic political system, which to some extent inspired the current legislation, is also briefly outlined. The question of the effectiveness of the lawmaking procedure in terms of public knowledge is also key, since it is the transparency of legislation that plays a significant role in the everyday life of citizens.
The circumstances of the conclusion and media coverage of the 1973 Prague Treaty between the Czechoslovakia and Germany

The bachelor thesis deals with the circumstances surrounding the signing of the Prague Treaty in 1973 between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. It presents the controversial issues that accompanied the negotiations. The fundamental disagreement lay in different interpretations of the validity of the Munich Agreement. The signing of the Prague Treaty made possible a process of détente in international relations that supported West German Chancellor Willy Brandt's concept of neue Ostpolitik. The bachelor's thesis further presents the media image of the conclusion of the Prague Treaty, while there was a significant difference between the periodicals published in Czechoslovakia and in Western Europe, which resulted from the different conception of the role of the media in the political system.
Housing concept in the European context

The topic of the diploma thesis is a comparison of the housing policy of the Czech Republic with respect to other European countries. Due to the different economic, historical and political situations of the individual states and their geographical location, attention is focused on the neighboring states of the Czech Republic. The selected group of assessed states provides sufficiently diverse situations and approaches to housing policy, so that the effectiveness of individual measures that could be applied to the environment of the Czech Republic could be evaluated. In the theoretical part, the basic directions of housing policy and related principles characteristic of the housing market are presented, as well as an assessment of national and transnational circumstances contributing to the final form of housing policy. In the practical part, the situation of the housing policy and its instruments in a longer time horizon and the reaction to their reactions to unexpected transnational circumstances are evaluated. The result of the practical part is a statistically based evaluation of individual housing policies and their individual parts. The conclusion of the diploma thesis contains the author's commentary and suggestions for optimizing the elements of housing policy and defining the basic risks of housing policy in the Czech Republic.
The response of German school policy to the European migration crisis on the example of four federated states

The bachelor's thesis introduces the reader to the response of the education policy of the Federal Republic of Germany to the issues of migration and school integration. The reader is acquainted with the functioning of the federal republic, the education system in the Federal Republic of Germany and the European migration crisis. The content of legislative documents in the field of education is presented within the selection of four federal states, namely Bavaria, Brandenburg, Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. The thesis presents a view of these documents on the school attendance of migrant students, their school integration and the influence of different religion on common subjects offered in public education. The bachelor's thesis is a comprehensive view of the issue of German school legislative documents in relation to the European Migration Crisis.
The comparison of the digital transformation process between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Czech Republic in the case of eGovernment

The diploma thesis focuses on the comparison of the process of digitalization in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. In the case of the complexity of the concept of the digitalization the diploma thesis will focus on the fields of Industry 4.0 and eGovernment. These aspects will be introduced: both the concepts and their meanings, the whole context etc., and examples of approaches of the states like France, South Korea, Japan or the whole European Union, or examples of companies and the impacts of the fourth industrial revolution on these economic subjects. After that the diploma thesis will focus directly on eGovernment in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany from the point of view of the structures, development, ratings or examples of projects, services. The final part will focus on the reflective evaluation of the development of the Industry 4.0 and eGovernment in both mentioned countries.
Asylstreit - Dispute over the Asylum and Refugee Policy in Germany

The bachelor's thesis deals with the dispute over the asylum and refugee policy in Germany between the CSU and CDU political parties from the beginning of the dispute in 2015 until the escalation in 2018. First, the thesis summarizes the development of asylum policies in the Federal Republic of Germany and the current attitude of the German government in this respect. Following chapters explore the beginning of the dispute during the refugee crisis and its next development in the years to come, including the escalation in 2018 and the resulting compromise between the German coalition government of the Union and the SPD that settled the dispute. The thesis also analyses the attitudes of the individual political subjects, the aftermath of the dispute and the further development of the asylum policy both in the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Union.
Privatization of the housing stock of the new German Länder after 1990

The thesis deals with privatisations of housing stock in the new federal states of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1990 to 2008. Aim of this thesis is to outline the development of privatisation processes and to assess their impact on the development of the housing stock. The thesis first outlines the political context of German reunification and the initial condition of the housing stock in the new Länder. First part of the thesis is dedicated to the "first wave" of privatisations, which were part of the transformation of the housing stock of new Länder into a market economy. This section outlines the legal framework of the privatisations and their course in the 1990s. Following section of this part elaborates on restitutions, which were part of the transformation-process as a specific form of privatisation of housing. The first part concludes with an assessment of the impact of privatisations on the development of the housing stock in the 1990s. The second part focuses on the "second wave" of privatisations of the municipal housing stock, which began at the turn of the millennium.
