Design of a chamber for storing metal powders
Jeleček, Petr ; Červinek, Ondřej (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
Additive manufacturing from metallic materials is a continously evolving branch of the engineering industry, where correct material storage is a crucial aspect. The main objective of this bachelor’s thesis is to create a structural design of a chamber for storing barrels containing metal powders. A survey of commercially available storage systems highlighted a gap in the market, specifically of fully or partialy automated storage systems that could also be used in a laboratory environment. The conceptual designs are inspired by commercially available storage systems and include a new, unconventional solution. After the evaluation of conceptual designs a specific structural design was developed that met the project criteria. The final design enables storing barrels containing metal powders in an inert atmosphere and partialy automates the transport of barrels between the storage and the work space.

Proposal for the introduction of a supermarket in the new assembly hall
Kolář, Daniel ; Novobilský, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
This master’s thesis focuses on the creation of a design of a supermarket and its related processes to a new assembly hall in a company trading and manufacturing in the field of military equipment named EXCALIBUR ARMY spol. s.r.o. The thesis is composed of three main parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical background required for writing the thesis. The second part describes the current situation and processes related to the new assembly hall. The final third part contains the specific design and visualisation of the supermarket in the new assembly hall and the processes involved.

Application of Mathematical and Statistical Methods in Company Management
Zezula, Lukáš ; Šustrová, Tereza (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
This thesis discusses the analysis of logistics costs for a company operating a network of vending machines and the subsequent minimization of the established costs by changing the locations and number of supply depots. A function reflecting the dependence of transport, warehousing, and inventory holding costs on the number and locations of depots is derived. The coefficients of this objective function are identified based on data provided by the analyzed company. Optimization of the locations and number of supply depots is performed using the Nelder and Mead iterative algorithm in combination with agglomerative clustering. The proposed approach to optimizing the logistics network is described from a mathematical-statistical and implementation perspective. Special attention is paid to finding optimal routes between supply depots and vending machines using geographic software, which also allows for measuring the route length and the time required to cover the obtained distance. The thesis then presents six proposals for reorganizing the logistics network, reflecting the optimal distribution of supply depots at their different numbers. Various shapes of the inventory holding costs are also considered, and their impact on the optimal number and locations of supply depots is discussed.

Reverse Logistics in the Selected Company
Staňková, Anežka ; Kuba,, Karel (referee) ; Milichovský, František (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with reverse logistics in a selected company. Based on the theoretical part I analyse the current state of reverse logistics activities within the company. In this thesis, I examine the logistics chains within the company, and continue to address the issue of waste management. The aim of this thesis is to propose corrective measures that optimize the amount of waste material and ensure a more efficient flow of reverse logistics activities.

Design of a new version of a trolley and docking station for channel racks
Pastrnková, Markéta ; Vepřek, Jiří (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with the analysis of the current version of the trolley and the docking station of the channel racks and the design of modifications. The theoretical part describes the components of the storage channel system. There is also explained principle of pallet storage in this part. In the following chapter, several variants of the design of the lifting mechanism of the lifting platform are elaborated. The work also presents static structural analysis of the current version of the trolley and docking station, parametric study and topological optimization of one of the components. Static structural analyzes were partially solved in the finite element software RFEM by Dlubal Software s.r.o company, and mainly in the software ANSYS Workbench 2020 R2 by ANSYS, Inc. company.
