Peřina, Jan ; Maršíková, Hana (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The work aims to design an environmentally responsible school in a specific situation according to the innovative education principles focused on forest schools. The work reacts to the absence of forest schools in the Kroměříž region and offers an alternative to regular education systems and the regular appearance of the schools. The proposal is applied in Kroměříž. I design interventions in fore locations with different spatial characteristics. The interventions evolve existing features and characteristics of the location or make the accessible. Those interventions should be used not only for education but also for the locals.
An Aquarium as an Ecosystem Suitable for Ethological Observations of Fish
Mejstříková, Lucie ; Hanel, Lubomír (advisor) ; Andreska, Jan (referee)
Aquaristics is a very widespread hobby not only among adults, but also among children. However, the aquarium may not only serve as an decorative and relaxing element, but also as a teaching tool. Through project-based learning, the ethology of fish, for example their orientation in space and time in relation to where they feed or their epigamous and social behaviour, can be studied there. The success and failure of fish farming and plant cultivation points to the imbalance of minerals and substances in the water, so it is important to take into account their cycling in the aquarium. This paper describes how to set up and care for an aquarium and it also provides various recommendations. To illustrate the cycling of substances, energy and matter, simple diagrams have been created that can also be used in ecology lessons. In the practical part, the biology of model aquarium fish has been described, accompanied by many photographs. In the didactic part, worksheets were designed - one to serve as a basis for project-based learning, the other for data analysis. The effectiveness of the worksheets was verified in the sixth and eighth grade of a primary school. Since the first worksheet had very low return and was frequentely misunderstood the second worksheet was created. This one was less time consuming...

Černý, Matouš ; Holanová, Radka (advisor) ; Vlčková, Jana (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the possible benefits of the project-based approach to teaching journalistic style and media education at secondary schools on the basis of my own pedagogical practice. The first, theoretical part deals firstly with the role of media and mass media in modern society, with an emphasis on the current state of the media environment in the Czech Republic and the habits of pupils in secondary schools in consuming media content. This is followed by a definition of the concepts of media literacy and media education, a set of publicly available inspirational sources, curricular anchoring of the topic and the perspective of Waldorf pedagogy. A basic insight into the characteristics of journalistic style and project-based learning is also provided. The second part of the thesis is devoted to a description and reflection on the project of creating a class student magazine at the Waldorf Lyceum in Prague. First, the principles of teacher self- evaluation and the principles of the 3A methodology (annotation-analysis-alteration) are introduced, then the genesis and context of the described project, its progress and reflection are described. In the project, the pupils discovered the functioning of a journalistic editorial office - they decided the content and visual...

The last pages are devoted to the work attachment list and a list of references and online resources. The work demonstrates that diaries are a good source for creating worksheets about everyday life in the Terezín Ghetto and that they bring to learning new ways of work and wider view of the issues being discussed.
Using IoT in high school
Hanel, Filip ; Vaňková, Petra (advisor) ; Novák, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis deals with the technological trend that the Internet of Things has recently become in the context of teaching at secondary school. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the basic technological and technical aspects of the Internet of Things, its definition, history and growing popularity. It also discusses the connection between this trend and education in three ways. Firstly with the idea of smart school, then the design of the teaching subject and its curriculum, hardware and software, and finally the use of IoT as a tool for teaching non-IT subjects. Attention is also given to different teaching methods and forms of learning such as STEM, DIY, design thinking, project-based and problem-based learning. The practical part is devoted to qualitative research and the introduction of some selected teaching activities. The research explores the perceptions of this trend in the selected secondary schools, including recommendations for teaching. From the findings of the investigation, it is evident that teaching dealing with this trend is already taking place or is in the pipeline in most of the schools, mainly due to the growing popularity of this trend and hence increasing demand in the job market and the complex integration of several information disciplines such as programming, database,...
How the plants influence our atmosphere - project based education for the basic school
JANEBOVÁ, Klára
The aim of my theses was to create an educational project for students of elementary schools on the topic of how plants affect our atmosphere. The suggested project base on the project teaching comprises of four issues: reducing the heat with vegetation, isopreniods and atmosphere, dust particles and vegetation, and carbon dioxide - vegetation - atmosphere. The project was verified in lessons of three elementary schools in South Bohemia with a hundred students of 9th class within the time period of March and April 2023. Teaching of botany at elementary schools focuses mainly on photosynthesis and morphology of plants; little attention is paid to the relation between plants and the atmosphere. The project is designed to demonstrate some areas of the relation plants-atmosphere, and to reveal the importance of vegetation for human beings. The effectivity of the educational project was verified in didactic survey. A pre-test was conducted before the activity itself and a post-test followed it with a one week delay. Collected data was then processed, evaluated and transformed into tables and charts. The data reveal that the suggested activity resulted in higher success rate in tests and increased the understanding of the effect of vegetation on the atmosphere.
