Hardware for lightweight cryptographic implementation
Jedlička, Jakub ; Cíbik, Peter (referee) ; Smékal, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of lightweight cryptography and the implementation of a selected cipher on a field programmable gate array (FPGA). Thesis first deals with the theory, where hardware elements, general cryptography and lightweight cryptography are described with focus on the LBlock and PRESENT ciphers. It then describes the selection of a cipher type and then the selection of a particular lightweight cryptography cipher. Next the LBlock cipher is selected, implemented, and tested as a custom intellectual property (IP) block using a hardware descriptive language for very fast integrated circuits (VHDL). This block is used in the block design to implement the encryptor on the ZYBO-Z7 development board. The input and output data handling is implemented on the Zynq-7000 processing system chip, which passes the data to the programmable logic. Finally this communication and implementation is described where the operational modes used for the LBlock cipher are cipher feedback mode and output feedback mode. For these operational modes, measurements are made to determine the encryption speed of the data stored on the microSD card and the pitfalls resulting from this encryption are described.
The Archeological Park Mikulcice
Hladíková, Monika ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
Architectonic and urbanistic concept The designed area is placed in the rural zone of the village Mikulčice and in the rural zone of the village Kopčany. This area has a big potencial in its cultural and historical values as well as in the natural ones. The connection of the pure and very original nature with a very strong historical value gives the region its very own authentic character and amplifies the experience of the visitor. This reagion was declared as a cultural heritage in 1962 and yet it is nominated to the World heritage list UNESCO. Its rich history and archeological discoveries gave an idea to built here a congress center. The congress center is situated in the natural enviroment where it presents the ruined churches and also the archeological discoveries. The goal of this project is to attract attention of the public. To enriche the knowledge of the public and to connect both sides of the river Morava by a bridge. The idea is to preserve the woods and meadows in the horizontal like region and to enter the landscape with a similar composition. The building itself is situated to the north of the ground plans of the churches, in historical path of the authentic waterway around the stronghold site. Its shape is inspired by a boat which reflects the waterway and the heritage of st.Cyril and st.Method who passed on to us the teachings of the Church. This is symbolised as large boats carrying the people to the everlasting salvation. The topic of the „path“ reminds us of our pilgrimage through the neverending sea of time. The values which our ancestors passed on to us and which we will pass on to our children. The bridge which overcomes this building can be a notional connection beetween the history and the present days. These are undoubtedly linked together and we should not forget it.
Hiding of current consumption
Hirš, David ; Gerlich, Tomáš (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
Power analysis presents the typical example of successful attacks against trusted cryptographic devices such as smart cards or embedded devices. Nowadays, the popularity of Internet of Things (IoT) is growing therefore, designers sould implement cryptographic algorithms with countermeasures in order to defend against these types of attacks. The bachelor's thesis focus on the implementation of ultra-lightweight block cipher PRESENT and execution of Simple power analysis and Differential power analysis to reveal the secret key. Power analysis is firstly performed on cipher PRESENT with no implemented countermeasures and the attack was successful. Then the countermeasures were implemented and there were no leakage about the secret key. The countermeasures are using the hardware randomization of FPGA boards.
Lightweight cryptography for embedded devices
Nekuža, Karel ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on lightweight cryptography. The main focus is on block ciphers PRESENT and LBLOCK and hash function PHOTON. The theoretical basis of cryptographic primitives are presented with devices which are commonly used for them, cryptanalysis attacks and their success rate. The primitives are implemented on microcontroller separately and in cryptographic protocol. There was measured time and usage of memories of the implementations. The results were used for comparison of ciphers, hash function and selection of two versions of the protocol for testing. Each version was tested and compared to the other.
Electronic control units of present SI-engines
Michna, Lukáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis named „Electronic control units of present SI-engines” treats of presently known and extended electronic control systems of SI-engines, so those ones, who mainly control both fuel-air mixture preparing and its ignition in combustion chamber. These are two fundamental functions for engine running, so they are described in light of basic principle of operation and also in light of each kind of these systems and its developmental stage description. Next point is enumeration and description of single parts of electronic control system participating in engine controlling, separated to logic sections. The end of publication makes reader acquainted with most extended types of electronic control systems, their producers and elementary differences.
Semi Automatic Lathe Machines
Chytil, Jakub ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the background research, description and division of semi-automatic lathe machines. One of the thesis’s tasks is to realize the computational concept of a particular machine component. The beginning of the thesis focuses on the principle of lathe turning, the basic calculations, brief description of lathe blades, the main parts of semi-automatic lathe machines, and kinds of semi-automatic lathe machines. There are described machines of contemporary production with their main parameters and manufacturers in The Czech Republic and in foreign countries further on. The final part of the thesis is addressed to calculation of spindle deformation and optimal distance between the Bearings.
Elaboration of the design of an educational trail around the Jordán water reservoir
KOSTKOVÁ, Klára
The aim of the master thesis is to propose an educational trail around the water reservoir Jordan, located in the city of Tabor in southern Bohemia. The design of the educational trail was preceded by the collection of knowledge about the water reservoir and its surroundings, as well as a questionnaire survey. The water reservoir is a very important technical work which was built as a drinking water supply for the town in the last decade of the 15th century and is thus one of the oldest artificial reservoirs of this type in Central Europe. Although the importance of this water reservoir is undeniable, it has received more attention thanks to the event 'Restoration of the Jordan Pond', which took place between 2011 and 2014 and brought valuable findings. Thanks to this restoration, not only was the silt removed, but the action also led to archaeological discoveries that provided a new perspective on this technical work. The design of the educational trail around the water reservoir Jordan aims to introduce visitors to the Jordan reservoir and its immediate surroundings by walking around the water body located for the most part right in the city, not far from its historic center.
The death penalty as an anthropological problem
KARBULKA, Lukáš
My work aims to introduce the reader to the issue of the death penalty and to show how it was or is perceived across the political, religious, ethical and historical spectrum. The aim of this work is to present the death penalty as an anthropological problem, which is complex and cannot be reduced only to its certain aspects, such as legal or historical.
Social criticism in the book Amos
KARBULKA PŘIBYLOVÁ, Kateřina
The aim of this work is to describe the social problems in the time in which Amos lived and compare them with today's social problems in the area where the book Amos takes place.
