Sheltered housing at Kociánka in Brno

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of sheltered housing solutions for people with special needs on the southern edge of the Kociánka complex in Brno. The aim of the work is not only the design of sheltered housing, but also the creation of opportunities for social integration and clients interaction with the public and at the same time the creation of job opportunities, space for recreation, therapy, self-realization or activation. The main element is the interweaving that is reflected in the entire design, whether it is urbanism, architecture or technology.
Employment of People with Disabilities

The Bachelor thesis deals with the issue on employment of people with disabilities. The theoretical part contains the basic concepts and definition of industrial relations. Also, payroll accounting, economic aspects and the tax impacts on employment of people with disabilities to employers. The analytical part is focused on the analysis of the current state of employment of people with disabilities for the employer. In the final part there are already concrete proposals for solutions for the employers.
The church community as an inclusive environment for the disabled (people with mental disabilities)

The present thesis, entitled Church Communities as Inclusive Environments for People with Disabilities, seeks to map the possibilities of integration and inclusion of people with disabilities into church communities. The necessary introduction is followed by a brief description of intellectual disability so that it becomes clear why these persons are disabled, its definition, diagnosis and manifestations. The work continues with a reflection on the treatment of persons with disabilities in Scripture and a characterization of the new discipline of "disability theology". The thesis then seeks to describe the approach of church communities to persons with disabilities (dignity, spirituality, pastoral care, diaconia), their needs, and the possibilities for integration and inclusion in these communities, as well as the problems of inclusion in church communities. The final part of the thesis discusses research on the issue of intellectual disability and its relationship to church organisations and the actual qualitative research using a phenomenological approach in the form of a semi-structured interview.
Sports activities in the lives of people with disabilities and the role of social work in their implementation

The aim of this thesis is to describe the impact of sports activities on the lives of people with disabilities: - to find out what importance of the regular implementation of sports activities has for the lives of people with disabilities, - analyze the used methods and ways of practicing sports activities in the Czech Republic and abroad - England, - to examine and describe the role of social work and the activity of a social worker in the framework of support and implementation of sports activities for people with disabilities. The above-mentioned goal will be achieved within the theoretical and practical part of the diploma thesis, with the help of the use of literary sources and Evidence-based practice on the given topic. Then with the help of the collected data from the conducted research. The diploma thesis should be beneficial in that it presents and evaluates the mentioned sources and thus brings a comprehensive view of the given issue and shows its meaning and importance for persons with disabilities. The knowledge gained certainly includes the presented complexity of the phenomenon of sports acitivities of people with disabilities. The broad significance of these activities for the lives of people with disabilities is shown. Furthermore, suitable conditions for the implementatiton of these activities, as well as practice in the Czech Republic and abroad. Last but not least, the role of social work and the possibilities of its realization within the sports activities of people with disabilities. Everything mentioned is then subjected to a research investigation, which brings a comprehensive evaluation of the results, not only in an interpreted form, but also through a graphic display of the given contexts through networking and a paradigmatic model.
The Employment of People with Disabilities in the Vysočina Region.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the employment of people with disabilities in the Vysočina Region. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out what are the conditions and possibilities for employment of people with disabilities in the labor market in the Vysočina Region. Furthermore, to find out how employers view the whole situation, their ideas and attitudes, cooperation with the the Employment Office, experience, obstacles, etc. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with basic concepts, then the legislative definition of employment of people with disabilities, the rights and obligations of employers Subsequently, the labor market, in which I also defined the Employment Office and its role. I also gave space to the state employment policy and support for the employment of people with disabilities, such as occupational rehabilitation and contributions to employers to support employment. Finally, I also mentioned contributions for people with disabilities themselves. In the practical part, the main research question was determined, for which two partial research questions were defined. Qualitative research was chosen for data collection, namely the method of questioning, the technique of semi-structured interview. The research group consists of six communication partners, which were selected by purposeful selection on the basis of two criteria, namely that the employer must be based in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou and the second condition was that it has more than 25 employees. The results of this work can contribute to the improvement of cooperation between employers and the Employment office, although these results cannot be generalized to all employers. Furthermore, work can give employers a look at the opportunities that the Employment office of the Czech Republic provides in the employment of people with disabilities.
The transformation of institutional facilities for people with disabilities

My diploma thesis is focused on the transformation process of institutional facilities for people with disabilities in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is divided into six main chapters, which are further expanded by subchapters. The first chapter deals with transformation, which includes both the history and the present of transformation in the Czech Republic. The second chapter is devoted to social services for people with disabilities, where they focus on residential and field services related to the transformation process. The third chapter describes the projects and challenges that were used in the process. The fourth chapter is about good practice, where communities such as Camphill and Archa are also mentioned. The fifth chapter presents transformational inspiration from abroad, for example from the USA, Italy or Jordan. The last sixth chapter then takes place on the independent life of people with disabilities. The aim of the work is to find out the factors influencing the course and completion of the transformation in residential facilities for people with disabilities in the Czech Republic and how the overall change was evaluated by service representatives, their staff or the clients they. To this end, one research question and three partial research questions were identified. The practical part showed that the factors that affect the transformation and its successful completion can include a team of staff who identify with the philosophy of transformation and deinstitutionalization, then properly support the transformation plan, or by guardians, family members or the community, where new households are emerging.
Comparison of the social service Protected housing and the informal common housing with people with disabilities from the point of dignified life and freedom

The bachelor´s thesis deals with the values of freedom and human dignity and their protection by international documents. More attention is paid to the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities and article 19 of the Convention, which deals with the right for living independently and being included in the community. Next there is a description and comparison of three projects of co-habitation of people with disabilities and people without them. The comparison is from the point of freedom and dignified life. Among the chosen projects there is one, that acts as a social service sheltered housing (Villa Vallila), the second is informal co-habitation, which is closely connected to service social rehabilitation (Spolubyt), and the last is out of the system of social services absolutely (Gigabyt).
Social work in the context of social entrepreneurship

This work deals with the relationship between social work and social entrepreneurship as one of the employment opportunities for people with disabilities. It clearly summarizes the existing knowledge about their context, available theoretical knowledge and practical experience in this area and lists important aspects of the context of social work and social entrepreneurship. It outlines the possibilities that individual activities can bring to each other and looks for things that can be mutually beneficial. It assesses the importance of social work for the social entrepreneurship sector and tries to find their common denominator by answering the following questions: What is the relationship between social work and social entrepreneurship? Is social work also important for a social enterprise? Is possible to do business socially with any connection to social work?
Diversity in the beauty industry and its perception in Czech environment

This bachelor thesis focuses on diversity in the beauty industry and its perception in Czech environment. Firstly, the theoretical framework introduces the concept of diversity marketing and describes how brands can include different underrepresented groups in their marketing strategies. For the purpose of this thesis, we recognize five such groups, namely: racial and ethnic minorities, people over the age of 50, people with various body shapes and sizes, members of the LGBTQ+ community and people with disabilities. So we focus on multicultural marketing, age-agnostic marketing, body-positive marketing, LGBTQ+ marketing and marketing strategies that include people with disabilities. Subsequently, we provide a few examples of several diverse cosmetic brands and we show that the inclusion of neglected groups can have a positive effect on consumer satisfaction and company's success. A review of previous research on diversity and its perception is then presented. In the practical part, we examine the perception of diversity in the Czech Republic. Our focus is Generation Z. The data is collected through a questionnaire. We find out how Czech Generation Z consumers perceive diversity in the cosmetics industry in general, how the inclusion of individual neglected groups is perceived, and whether and how...
