NEWkus - Sara and Bara

The bachelor's thesis presents a series of events of the artistic duo NEWkus. Artistic duo NEWkus deals with transformation of relationships and solid definition of the concept of a NEWkus’s body. It copes with the isolation which was caused by the coronavirus pandemic and with the apathy caused by the monotonous lifestyle in an enclosed space with still the same person and the impossibility of meeting within the duo NEWkus. Thanks to our series of events in the home environment, the group is aware of its own existence on a much wider scale, it finds that it is not only two-member, that its structure is more extensive. The series of realized events is built on the border of social and artistic experiment and intimate realism. The whole experience is screened in a single space, as part of a festival called Dny NEWkusu (The NEWkus Days). The space consists of an object inspired by a screen,which inner surface is adapted to the image and needs of both authors..The spectator is thus allowed to meet the story that will be presented from many points of views during the festival and thus provide an opportunity to mingle with the body of NEWkus in real time and space.

Assessing and Reducing the Impact of so called Black Swans in Launching New Medicines

The diploma thesis is focused on the analysis and evaluation of risks in the introducing of new drug in the case of unexpected mass infections from the point of view of black swans. This thesis acquaints itself with the current state of the problematics, explains the terminology and meaning of black swans and gives examples of biological black swans. On the basis of the analysis and the available informations is proposed a risk assessment approach together with proposals how to reduce or eliminate possible risks.

The work is focused on the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the world economy. The work describes the impact of the pandemic on the whole world. The practical part is focused on the impact of GDP on various countries and the main goal of this work is to evaluate the effects of the COVID19 pandemic on the economic performance of countries and to propose certain recommendations that will help streamline the world economy. The partial goals of the work are: summary of circumstances that led to the declaration of a state of emergency and describe crisis management in the world during the COVID-19 pandemic, creation of data base, creation of econometric model and its testing, evaluation of results, In order to develop my work were found relevant study materials . The methods used in the bachelor thesis are descriptive-analytical in nature.

The aim of the thesis is to specify the impact of the pandemic on the gastronomy sector, to identify the factors and areas that enabled a successful response to the crisis situation. Scenarios are proposed on how to react in case of an unexpected negative change in the gastronomy sector. The literature review includes descriptions of the basic concepts of crisis management, crises, industry analysis and macroeconomic indicators. Qualitative interviews with business managers are conducted to fulfil the aim of the thesis. The practical part includes results from semistructured interviews. Subsequently, the impacts are specified and the factors and areas that helped enterprises to cope with the crisis are identified.
What Is (Not) Talked About. An Analysis of Political Discourse of Care During Covid Pandemic

The thesis examines the political discourse on informal care during the first four pandemic waves from March 2020 to February 2022. The study explores three main themes: crisis care allowance, distance learning, and the position of single parents in the pandemic. The author uses critical discursive analysis methods, as developed by Norman Fairclough, to identify prevalent images and themes of informal care in political discourse. The analysis also assesses the degree to which informal care has been gendered and the interconnections between political discourse and other discourses, such as journalistic and expert discourses. Finally, the conclusion of the thesis provides an evaluation of the effects of the discourse analysed and assesses the political representation of informal carers.
Escapism in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic

1 Abstract This Master's thesis aims to explore the impact of the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons released in March 2020 for the Nintendo Switch console on players during the Covid-19 pandemic by analyzing forum posts and articles. The thesis further typifies the community of players of the game that post on the forums Animal Crossing Community and The Bell Tree Forums, their motivations for playing, and the ways in which the game provided them with an escape from the reality of the pandemic. Furthermore, the thesis partly focuses on media reflection of this phenomenon through the analysis of articles describing their own experience with the game. This thesis intends to achieve this through qualitative research methods, specifically through a case study using the method of analytical induction. The first chapters in the theoretical part of the thesis show that the existing knowledge about the impact of games and media in general on the mental health of people, and adolescents in particular, is contradictory. 1 Abstract State responsibility to prevent and control a pandemic The submitted thesis explores state responsibility under public international law and how it relates to the obligation to prevent, protect against, control and provide a public health response to international spread of disease. Epidemics are hardly a new or unprecedented phenomenon, and the increased incidence of seasonal influenza strains and other viral respiratory infections are a recurring theme every year. However, the issue of state responsibility for international spread of infectious diseases came to the forefront lately due to the events at the beginning of 2020 when a global pandemic of the new coronavirus COVID- 19 appeared, causing over seven million deaths by October 2023 and significant economic losses. The virus was first identified in China, which reported the outbreak to the World Health Organization (WHO) at the end of 2019. Shortly after that, despite public health measures being implemented, the infection began to spread worldwide via international travel, and multiple reports emerged that China had had information about this infectious disease a month before reporting it and deliberately concealed it, which would constitute a violation of International Health Regulations.
