Dušan Samo Jurkovič in Nové Město nad Metují

The subject of the Master's Thesis is the design activity of architect Dušan Samo Jurkovič for Josef and Cyril Bartoň from Dobenín in Nové Město nad Metují. In a separate chapter, she first introduces the chateau in Nové Město nad Metují in its construction development and also introduces the urban and cultural context of the city in its individual historical periods. In other chapters she exhibits the personality of Dušan Samo Jurkovič and his work before the rebuilding of the chateau in Nové Město nad Metují, as well as the assignment given to Jurkovič in Nové Město. The core of the work is an analysis of Jurkovič's interventions in the chateau. Their further interpretation is used for the independent processing of Jurkovič's buildings in Peklo, a restaurant and tourist cottages. The concluding chapter deals with the evaluation of Jurkovič's work in Nové Město nad Metují and an overview of further development of his architectural work and his work in the preservation of monuments. The thesis " The Second World War in Nove Mesto nad Metuji" puts the main focus on years 1935-1945. The largem space is devoted to the Second World War and Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The text is divided into fourteen chapters, each chapter describes a separate topic. There information about prewar conditions, war situation, economy or culture. The emphasis is on resistance in Nove Mesto nad Metuji and victims. The thesis describes also coexistence od Czechs, Jews and Germans.

The sustainable development of the city, in application on Nové Město nad MEtují

The work deals with the sustainable development of the city, in the Nove Mesto nad Metují. The first part theoretical, is engaged in the development of the concept of sustainable development and presents the research methodology of sustainability of the city. In the practical part, these methods are applied to the sustainable development of the Nove Město nad Metují. Sustainable urban development is studied from four aspects, land use, environmental, economic and social. The aim of the work is to gain knowledge on which will be evaluated pillars of sustainability of the community, especially the economic pillar of sustainable cities. The individual columns are examined in terms of their structure and changes in the individual examined indicators of sustainability

Analysis of the Customers' Shopping Behaviour

The thesis analyses shopping behaviour of the customers from Nové Město nad Metují and its close environs. It is focused mainly on the purchase of foodstuffs, nevertheless part deals with non-food products. The first chapter describes the retail network of Nové Město nad Metují. The second chapter characterizes briefly current shopping behaviour of the customers in the Czech Republic. In the third chapter analysis itself, based on the data from the author's research, is made.
