Native Application for Visualization and Management of IoT Devices
Native hyaluronan as a delivery system for hydrophobic drugs
Černá, Eva ; Mravec, Filip (referee) ; Pekař, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to discover whether it is possible to use the native form of hyaluronic acid as a hydrophobic drug carrier for a targeted distribution in the body. In its structure, hyaluronic acid is a linear high molecular weight biopolysaccharide which is found in most living organisms. Hyaluronan is involved in many physiological processes and therefore is essential for the functionality of the human body. It is in most tissues of the human body, high concentration is in the skin, the vitreous body and is also observed in cancer cells that contain several receptors for hyaluronan. These receptors include CD44 and RHAMM. The interaction of the hyaluronic acid delivery system and the hydrophobic medicinal with these receptors could ensure a free passage for drugs to the affected tissue, where the release of the drug would destroy the affected cells. The drug would directly target the damaged tissue and did not burden the rest of the body like the cytotoxic agents do. In this paper the native form of hyaluronic acid, which we normally find in the human organism, was chosen as the carrier. Its properties do not stand above other carrier systems, but its biocompatibility and biodegradability in the body greatly exceed them. High molecular weight hyaluronic acid was used as a carrier and the hydrophobic dye sudan red G, a substance of similar properties, was used instead of a hydrophobic drug.
Mobile Application for DNS Vulnerabilities Testing
Béder, Michal ; Ovšonka, Daniel (referee) ; Kováčik, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to show the way how to implement an Android application, which allows full control over DNS packets creation. This was achieved by partial implementation of the application in C++ programming language. Furthermore, in this thesis are described topics as Android security model and possibilities of combining native and Java code. Resulting application allows to generate network attacks, which are exploiting some of the known DNS vulnerabilities.
Current trends in education and their application in lifelong education of English teachers
Dvořák, Bohuslav ; Chalupský, Petr (advisor) ; Starý, Karel (referee) ; Straková, Zuzana (referee)
This dissertation thesis deals with lifelong education, specifically a programme provided by the Department of English Language and Literature at Charles University, Prague. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and research. In the theoretical part, the theoretical basis of lifelong education is analysed, as well as trends in selected aspects of it. In the research part, data about appropriate programmes from other European countries as well as curricula from other universities and colleges in the Czech Republic and from abroad are analysed. The results of the pilot stage, the questionnaire distributed among the successful participants of the lifelong education programme, which are followed by semi-structured interviews, are presented and compared. In addition, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the teachers teaching in this programme. Content analysis is used to process, compare and interpret the collected data with regard to the programme in question and to the aims of the thesis. The main aims of the dissertation thesis are to find out how similar programmes are structured in the Czech Republic and abroad, what expectations the participants had before starting the programme at Charles University and the extent to which they were met, and whether or not they regard the...

Middle English adjectival innovations of native origin (1200-1400) formed by prefixation
Ortutayová, Dominika ; Čermák, Jan (advisor) ; Popelíková, Jiřina (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse and describe the Middle English adjectival innovations of native origin coming into existence by prefixation in the period of 1200-1400. The formations are described from the point of view of their word-formation and semantics, the individual word- formation patterns are identified and analysed in terms of their productivity. In the theoretical part we present three points of view - social, typological and word-formational - which allow us to formulate our hypothesis consisting in the assumption that the native prefixation will exhibit gradual signs of decreasing productivity, brought about both by the language-external and language-internal causes - the language being overwhelmed by the an influx of foreign elements due to political and social situation at the time; as well as gradual phonological and semantic non- transparency of the native prefixes. The empirical part is based on the analysis of the 219 adjectives retrieved from the Oxford English Dictionary. Our results show that 7 out of 13 prefixes are decreasing in productivity or unproductive, yet the situation is not homogeneous and we were able to identify eight possible scenarios of development in productivity patterns. Our hypothesis is thus confirmed only partially - both the extra and...
Introduction of the Histoscanning for Routine Evaluation of the Biopsy of the Native and Transplantated Kidneys.
ŠMOLÍKOVÁ, Petra
Aim: Immunofluorescence used as part of diagnostic algorithm for native and transplanted kidneys, however it has several limitations: short expiration, difficult handling and shipment. We compared quality of real slides versus scanned digital( virtual)slides. Materiál and methods: 163 cases were stained and diagnosed using classic technology and microscope. All cases were scanned using 3D Histech and evaluated again as virtual slides. Results: 20 primary evaluated slides( real and virtual) were reevaluated. Based on results, changes of technology were introduced ( medium, coverslips, scanning parameters). 143 new cases were examined using classic technology and subsequently using virtual microscopy. Results and minor differences in quality were acceptable and modified technology was introduced into the routine practice. Conclusions: Virtual microscopy is applicable also to immunofluorescence techniques and it is routinely used in our institution now. Altogether with histoscanning of standard histochemical and immunohistochemical stainings is also used for so-called telepathology. Main advantage is easy and fast access of consultant pathologist to examined materiál even from oversea distance.

The work deals with verification of the metadata of audio recordings in an environment of mobile phones running Android. The text work is divided into three main parts. The first part is focused more on theoretical basis, where the main emphasis on the description of Android, application structure, description of the audio MP3 file and theoretical basis of Fourier transform in signal processing. The second part is devoted to solution design, analysis and implementation. The third part deals with testing.
