Predictors of Social Participation of Children with Cerebral Palsy in Primary Schools in the Czech Republic and Republic of Serbia

The main aim of this dissertation is to determine the predictors of social participation of pupils with cerebral palsy in elementary schools in the Czech Republic and the Republic of Serbia which, in other words, means identifying factors that could determine the level of its social participation in primary education. Considering the fact that it is established that the participation of pupils with cerebral palsy is an important indicator of their successful social participation in adolescence and adulthood, it is necessary to estimate the factors that influence their participation in school age. Social participation is within this dissertation viewed from the perspective of independent execution of non-academic school activities that the pupils with cerebral palsy are performed daily in the school environment, which they need in order to be able to fulfill the academic obligations expected from them. In order to assess their participation in the school environment, the first and third part of the SFA questionnaire were used (The School Function Assessment), in order to measure pupils' participation in 6 situations within the school environment and 21 concrete non- academic school activities. Communication disability in patients with cerebral palsy and it's effect on communication and socialization of the individuals

This Master's thesis explores how developmental dysarthria and communication disability effect the socialization and communication abilities of people with cerebral palsy. The thesis is divided into two primary sections: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is divided into four sections (cerebral palsy, disrupted communication abilities in people with cerebral palsy, dysarthria, communication and socialization in people with cerebral palsy). The next part of the work presents the analysis of dysarthria and disrupted communication abilities effect of the socialization and communication abilities in people with cerebral palsy. The empirical section is based on original research, primarily employing qualitative methods, namely semi-⁠structured interviews. I interviewed six individuals all of whom are affected by cerebral palsy and developmental dysarthria. Research goals included how disrupted communication skills, known as developmental dysarthria, affect the individuals' communication and socialization skills, how it affects them in daily situations, what the main hallmarks of these situations are, what these situations have in common and how developmental dysarthria affects the individuals' motivation towards socializing. Fine motor skills and laterality of preschool children with cerebral palsy

The diploma thesis is focused on fine motor skills and laterality of preschool children with cerebral palsy. Based on previous researches was found out, that cerebral palsy is influencing fine motor skills. With reference to these researches, the aim of this thesis is to find out, if there is difference between intact prechool children and preschool children with cerebral pals in fine motor skills and what particular differences there is. The thesis include laterality and question of pronounction in preschool age. The theoretical part describes evolution of children, defines fine motor skills and laterality, deals with cerebral palsy and describes fine motor skills of children with cerebral palsy including previous researches. The empirical part defines the aims of research, explorational questions, methods of research and testing activities. Next part is focused on selection of respondents and their characterics. Main part presents results of testing my respondents, analysis of results and discussion. Bachelor thesis is focused on the integration of pupil with disabilities in an environment of high school. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis is the definition of terms related to the issues, personalities pupil with disabilities and their integration into the classic class. Methods used for processing the theoretical part of the study of professional sources, creation of excerpts, analysis, synthesis and comparison. The practical part of the thesis is to identify and describe the factors contributing to the integration of secondary school pupil with disabilities. To meet the objec-tives of the practical part will be used for qualitative research, case reports or case studies focused on secondary school pupil with a disability, suffering from cerebral palsy. In the end they will based on the outcomes of theoretical and practical part set of recommendations that relate to the integration of students with disabilities in an environment of high school.
Education of pupils in the Jedlička Institute and Schools

This diploma thesis "Education of Pupils at Jedlička Institute and Schools" contains information about physically disabled pupils. The aim of the diploma thesis was to discover the needs and methods of physically disabled pupils' education. The research was focused on what teaching methods, didactic tools, compensation aids and other means and access to pupils are used by teachers at primary school. The diploma thesis includes an analysis of an asset of Jedlička Institute and Schools. The research uses the following methods: structured interviews with teachers and participant observation at primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis comprises kinds of physical disability, combined disability, Jedlička Institute and Schools and information about education of physically disabled pupils and pupils with combined disability. The practical part of the thesis deals with an interaction between pupils and teachers, with cerebral palsy, teaching methods and pupils' needs. influence of persistent primitive reflexes of psychomotor development in children with cerebral palsy

The diploma thesis is focused on psychomotor development in children with cerebral palsy in context of persisting primitive reflexes. Opening chapters summarize theoretical knowledge about cerebral palsy, its etiology, clinical picture, forms and comprehensive diagnostics, including special education. The next part of the thesis focuses on psychomotor development of a child with cerebral palsy, in particular the gross and fine motor activity development and speech development. The main section of the thesis discusses the neurophysiological principles of primitive reflexes and their relevance for early development of a child. The primitive reflexes, one by one, as well as the influence of their persistence on the psychomotor development of the child with cerebral palsy and options of their integration by selected therapeutic concepts are presented. Attention is also paid to the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation of medical rehabilitation and special pedagogical care in the field of primitive reflexology.
